Queen Elizabeth's fashion looks to go on display in new London exhibition, World News
The monarch — who died in September 2022 at the age of 96 — will be celebrated for her style choices in a new show at Buckingham Palace in London to mark the year she would have turned 100 and it's been described as the "largest and most comprehensive" collection of the late monarch's clothing ever to be seen by the public.
Exhibition curator Caroline de Guitaut said: "Only now, as the late Queen's fashion archive comes under the care of Royal Collection Trust, can we tell the story of a lifetime of thoughtful style choices — from her hands-on role and understanding of the soft power behind her clothing, to the exceptional craftsmanship behind each garment.
"In the year that she would have turned 100 years old, this exhibition will be a celebration of Queen Elizabeth's uniquely British style and her enduring fashion legacy."
The exhibition — put on by the Royal Collection Trust — is titled Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style and it's due to open in spring of 2026.

It will feature more than 200 items of clothing including the wedding dress — designed by Norman Hartnell — which she wore to marry Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1947 as well as the gown she wore for her Coronation in 1953.
The collection includes clothing, hats, shoes, accessories and jewellery alongside design sketches and fabric samples as well as correspondence which lifts the lid on the process of dressing the monarch.
It will feature pieces from Elizabeth's childhood and early years as well as throughout her reign from state occasions to items she wore when she was off duty such as riding jackets, tartan skirts and headscarves.
Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style will run at the King's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, from spring to autumn 2026 and tickets go on sale from November 2025.
The show will be accompanied by a book — Queen Elizabeth II: Fashion and Style — written by de Guitaut and features contributions from fashion experts and designers.

The 45-year-old is accused of tricking people into travelling to Indonesia and paying exorbitant fees for non-existent film work, before he was arrested in a hotel in Manchester, England, in November 2020. Tahilramani's extradition was approved by a judge and then British ministers in 2023, but he challenged the decision to send him to the U.S. to stand trial, arguing prison conditions would breach his human rights due to his mental health. His lawyer Edward Fitzgerald told London's High Court in April that Tahilramani, who has applied for asylum in Britain, was also at risk of being attacked in prison as a gay man. Fitzgerald said this meant Tahilramani was likely to be held in isolation while in pre-trial detention, which put him at high risk of suicide given his underlying mental health issues. But Tahilramani's appeal was dismissed by Judge Derek Sweeting, who said in a written ruling that the lower court was not wrong when it ordered his extradition to stand trial. REUTERS

LONDON - Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis frontmen Liam and Noel Gallagher, has been charged with rape and other offences by police in Britain. Paul Gallagher was reported to the police in London in 2024 and the charges were announced on July 28. The 59-year-old is accused of rape, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, assault causing actual bodily harm, and coercive and controlling behaviour, London's Metropolitan Police Service said in a statement. The force said the offences were reported to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, and a woman was being supported by specially-trained officers. Gallagher, who lives in the East Finchley district of London, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Aug 27. He denies the accusations against him, according to a statement from Carson Kaye solicitors. He is not a part of British rock band Oasis, which are currently conducting a highly anticipated international tour. The band are playing a series of dates in London, and will travel to Scotland and Ireland before starting the North American leg of the tour in late August.
