Getting typecast in Bollywood is a common issue that actors often face. However, only a few of them break the monotony and bag a role that is completely different from what they have been doing. Today, we will discuss an actor who did more than 250 movies, and in 144 of them, he played the role of a cop.
Yes, you read that right! He played many types of characters, but the effect that was visible on his face and acting when he wore the uniform settled in the hearts of the people. It was because of his strong acting that he got such roles again and again. The actor also received a Guinness Book of World Records entry for the same. If you are wondering which actor we are talking about, then he is Jagdish Raj Khurana.
Born in 1928, Jagdish created his own identity in Indian cinema. Jagdish debuted in the 1955 film Seema, where he played a doctor. However, his real recognition came from his portrayal of police inspectors, especially in iconic films like Deewar, Don, and Shakti.
Even though in his career Jagdish never played a lead role, he was loved for his cop roles in the movies. Apart from playing a cop, he also portrayed other roles in films like Kati Patang.
Jagdish Raj's biggest strength was his simple acting and immersion in the character. When he came on screen wearing a uniform, fans loved his aura.
Did you know Jagdish turned out to be a blessing for Rajesh Khanna? Yes, he was often paired with Rajesh Khanna, the superstar, in films like Joru Ka Ghulam, The Train, and Khamoshi, among others.

This appointment signals a new era for the renowned pageant, marking its inaugural global ambassadorship and recognising Reddy's longstanding and profound commitment to social impact, humanitarian work, and equitable development. As the Global Ambassador for Beauty With A Purpose, the esteemed charitable arm of the Miss World Organisation, Reddy will spearhead global outreach efforts and contribute to global projects in various countries. Ahead of the culminating event, Reddy organised the Beauty With A Purpose Gala, an assembly of 108 contestants held at her private estate, Mon Amour Palais. The gala's broadcast in Times Square, New York, underscored a transformative juncture for the state of Telangana. Sudha Reddy, who championed Indian craftsmanship and heritage by donning a bespoke Tarun Tahiliani traditional ensemble for the event, shared, 'To the Miss World Organisation, to Julia Morley, and to everyone sharing this evening: Vanakkam. From Hyderabad, the vibrant heart of Telangana, I am deeply touched and profoundly grateful to stand before you. This honour transcends personal achievement; it is a testament to the boundless power of compassion, the unwavering force of love, and the transformative potential of selfless giving – values that resonate deeply within the soul of my home state. This ancient wisdom compels me to extend my hand, my heart, and my resources to those in need, regardless of borders or background. It is with this spirit that I embrace the profound role of a Global Ambassador. My pledge is simple: to channel the spirit of seva into every endeavour. To shine a light on the stories of hope, resilience and unwavering humanity that exist in every corner of our world. To the young people who are the inheritors of this world, and to everyone committed to creating a more just and compassionate future: never underestimate the power of a single act of kindness. Never doubt the ability of love to heal, to unite and to transform. Let compassion be your compass, philanthropy your guide, and love the unwavering force that propels you forward. For in giving, we receive. In loving, we are loved. And in serving others, we truly find ourselves.' Punjabi Singer Sunanda Sharma's Jaguar Trashed, Louis Vuitton Bags Stolen In London

Last Updated: Sunanda shared a video of her vandalised Jaguar, saying she couldn't sleep all night after the theft. Punjabi singer Sunanda Sharma was left shaken after her luxury car was broken into during a recent trip to London. The singer shared a video on Instagram showing shattered glass on the seats and pavement around her black Jaguar, saying valuable belongings worth lakh of rupees were stolen. Among the missing items were two Louis Vuitton bags, a suitcase and a handbag. Speaking in Punjabi, Sunanda pointed to the damage and said, 'Everything is gone… Both were my favourite. They've taken everything." Though visibly upset, she remained composed as she documented the scene. In the caption, she wrote: 'Ve main jehde paase vekhaa, mainu chor disde. UK waaleyo eh koi gal te nai na. Sari raat neend nai aayi baadshaho. Kehda LV te Kehda Prada, oh gya oh gya oh gya." She added that perhaps the incident saved them from something worse. Theft and car break-ins involving high-end vehicles and celebrity targets have become increasingly common in London. In recent years, Indian singer and YouTuber B Praak had also raised concerns over safety after a break-in incident during his UK tour. Several international stars, including Kim Kardashian and singer Aitch, have previously reported thefts involving luxury goods and cars in the city. Famous footballers have also been frequent targets of such crimes. In July 2019, former Arsenal players Mesut Özil and Sead Kolašinac were targeted by armed robbers attempting to steal their watches; Kolašinac fought off the attackers, and both players were unharmed. Earlier this year, Sunanda made headlines when she filed a police complaint against music producer Pinky Dhaliwal, alleging financial exploitation and mental harassment. In a now-deleted post, she had shared that the ordeal left her emotionally drained, often crying alone and even battling thoughts of self-harm. Sunanda Sharma rose to fame with her debut single Billi Akh and went on to deliver hits like Jaani Tera Naa, Patake, and Tere Naal Nachna. She has also acted in Punjabi films. One fan summed it up perfectly on social media, 'Chotta Mumbai is not just about Lalettan. It's a full-blown celebration of legends like Rajan P. Dev, Kalabhavan Mani, Haneefikka, and Jagathy Chettan." Another wrote, 'It's better than many of today's releases! That sound, those visuals, that crowd—it's a lifetime celebration!" The film's legendary lineup includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Siddique, Manikuttan, and Bijukuttan. On the work front, Lalettan was last seen in Thudarum, a gripping thriller that's now streaming on JioHotstar.
