Britain's Got Talent star 'fears they'll be forced to miss semi-final tonight'

Metro03-05-2025

A Golden Buzzer-winning Britain's Got Talent star is worried that she may miss out on tonight's live-semi final due to a health condition.
The supermarket worker, 29, wowed the judges in March with her rendition of the hit song Run, as released by Snow Patrol in 2004 and covered by X Factor winner Leona Lewis in 2008.
Chicken roaster Stacey was driven to floods of tears as the audience rose to the feet with a chant of 'press the buzzer.'
As guest judge KSI complied with the audience's chanting, the singer was propelled straight through to the semi-finals with a Golden Buzzer, leaving viewers convinced that the show had just found its next winner.
She was set to join the likes of magician Alexandra Burgio, stunt cheerleaders Cheer Re Mans and 11-year-old guitarist OIly Pearson in tonight's second semi-final.

However, that may not come to pass – with Stacey being diagnosed with strep throat ahead of the live shows.
'My voice is only just coming back,' she told The Mirror.
'I am still actually on antibiotics. I haven't been able to sing properly.
'I have been a bit concerned about this weekend but, hopefully, I'll be able to do it,' she added.
Speaking to The Daily Mail following her audition, Stacey revealed how she'd had to retrain her voice due to growing up with a speech impediment.
She explained that while watching a video of herself singing around four or five years ago, it was hard to understand what she was singing because of the 'severity of speech impediments' that she had.
'So during lockdown I used to sit through like adult speech therapy sessions on YouTube and then I'd introduced it into my singing,' she recalled.
Strep throat is a bacterial infection that impacts the throat and tonsils, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explains.
The condition can develop after a person already has a sore throat. This can take between two to five days.
Symptoms for strep throat can include: Fever
Pain when swallowing
Red and swollen tonsils, or white patches or pus on the tonsils
Swollen lymph nodes
Red spots on the roof of the mouth

Stacey added that if she doesn't do specific exercises for a couple of weeks at a time, then she could 'revert back' to how she was before.
This followed years of bullying during her teenage years, with Stacey experiencing mockery when she used to stutter in her high school days.
'Children unfortunately sometimes can be a bit harsh and I wasn't the popular girl at school,' she said.
The singer – who had only performed live once, prior to her Britain's Got Talent audition – drew comparisons to 2009 runner-up Susan Boyle as she appeared on the show.
'Susan Boyle moment right there,' wrote RedPaul on X as the performance aired. More Trending
'Stacey Leadbetter! She could win the whole thing this season with that voice. Stunning. Great song choice too,' agreed Drew.
'Got to be one of the favorites to win,' said Steven Wilcox.
'She's definitely destined for for stardom . Bye Bye cooked chicken. She's fab,' added Grace Kelly.

Katie Price launches an online sex bot because 'no one is controlling me'

Katie Price has pretty much ticked off every career opportunity, whether it be best-selling books, hit reality TV series, modelling campaigns, or adult content creation. But while she's now mostly known for making headlines with her tumultuous personal life, the former Page 3 model first shot to fame as her sultry alter ego Jordan in the late 1990s. The character was much more than a pseudonym, as she spent eight years working under the persona, fronting lads' mags and flaunting her surgically enhanced breasts in glamour shoots. Fast forward to 2025, and Katie, who reverted to her 'real name' over a decade ago, is keen to give fans an unexpected taste of nostalgia. So, Jordan is back… sort of. Katie, 47, has joined OhChat, a US-based AI platform where users can live out their spicy fantasies with a twist. Allowing fans to interact with Jordan, Katie's physical likeness and voice have been recreated in the form of a hyper-realistic digital twin. Thanks to the cutting-edge technology, people can experience the otherwise impossible. Listen, we get it, OK? It's a lot to process. So, who better than the woman herself to explain it? In an exclusive interview with Metro, Katie details exactly why she wanted to join the likes of Carmen Electra and Brande Roderick to be transformed into an AI sex doll, and how she's embracing no longer being 'controlled' by anyone. 'Who would ever have thought that after nearly 20 years, Jordan would be brought back as an AI version? It's so clever how we did it,' she begins. 'We used loads of photos. I had to speak for half an hour so they'd get my voice, my tone, my personality, and just so they could create my digital twin. 'Jordan's back! But as AI.' Asked what memories her Jordan era holds for her, Katie has nothing but glowing things to say. 'Fun, absolute fun, amazing times, loved it. Loved every bit. Loved being in front of the camera. I miss doing those kinds of photoshoots, which is why I do OnlyFans.' Katie has raked in thousands from her saucy OnlyFans content, although this income took a hit when a judge ruled she had to give up 40% of her monthly cheque amid her second bankruptcy. But her financial woes haven't stopped her – far from it – as Katie is now capitalising on the desires of her fans with both her own NSFW snaps and those of AI Jordan. 'Basically, I've got my digital twin doing the Jordan stuff, then I do the OnlyFans, so you get to see both of me! So could we say it's Jordan versus Kate now?' The TV queen jokes that she might even have a conversation with AI Jordan just to 'see what happens'. 'It'll be interesting. Who knows what's gonna come out of her mouth! No one knows; it's AI. She's got her own thing going on. That's the fun of it.' Katie also feels like the birth of her digital twin marks the beginning of a new era for her, too. While Jordan was her life growing up, the character has since merged with who she actually is, allowing her to now 'start afresh with the knowledge and experience' she acquired in her twenties. 'It is me, at the end of the day. It was me in my younger years. There's nothing I'd change.' As for the longevity she's enjoyed and how people have remained interested for all this time, Katie admits that there's no real secret to it—although she's constantly keeping herself 'on her toes', never mind the rest of us. 'I'm just me, and I think that's why people can relate, because I'm not manufactured, I am myself, and I do go through dramas just like everyone else, and I think everyone has followed my journey,' she explains. 'Nothing is vanilla with me. There are a lot of people in the industry, and you hear what they've got coming out, then it comes out, and it's just the same old, same old, whereas with me, you never know what's around the corner, ever, and that's what I love. 'Sometimes, I don't even know what's around the corner, and when it comes, I just go with it.' Keen to also introduce the TikTok generation to the wild antics of Jordan, the mum-of-five acknowledges that youngsters get confused by who she actually is. 'People are like, 'Who's Jordan?' And I'm like, 'Just Google it!' But now, they have a chance to get to know the old me, but it's still the new me, if that makes sense.' But why the AI twin, exactly? Well, why not, as Katie would likely say. The media personality is embracing no longer feeling like anyone 'controls' her, declaring that, after previously feeling like 'a product to some people, not a human being,' she's 'not going to be dictated to by anyone anymore'. Nothing is vanilla with me As for the advice she'd give herself back in Jordan's heyday, knowing what she does know, Katie has a firm response. 'First of all, men choices! And be careful who you work with, because there are lots of snakes out there who promise you everything, and they end up stitching you up, taking your money, and things like that. 'I learned the hard way that there's always someone out there to get you. More Trending 'But now, I'm in control and that's an amazing feeling.' 'I've got no one controlling me, I do what I want to do, and now Jordan has come back, I feel like Kate's started off again,' she says defiantly. 'I've been through all this s**t, I've come out fresh and so has my digital twin. Jordan and Kate are off again.' Rob Rinder shares brutal Rylan admission after 'feeling sense of disappointment'

Judge Rinder star Rob Rinder has opened up about his close relationship with BBC Radio 2 presenter and Celebrity Gogglebox star Rylan Clark, and the impact it has had on his life Rob Rinder has revealed that people often feel a "sense of disappointment" when they meet him in public without Rylan Clark by his side. The 47-year-old has formed a tight-knit friendship with fellow telly presenter Rylan over the past few years. Their three-part series Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour was broadcast in May 2024. ‌ The BAFTA TV Award-winning show saw an emotional Rylan discussing his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal. The BBC Radio 2 star has since described his journey around Italy with Rob as being "like therapy", confessing he "wasn't fully over" the break up. ‌ There have been whispers about a potential romance between the two, but Rylan recently clarified that they are "just friends". This came as he paid a heartfelt tribute to Judge Rinder star Rob on his birthday, expressing that he "loves him dearly". Now, during a fresh chat between the duo on Radio 2, Rob disclosed that fans are often let down when he attends events without former X Factor star Rylan. He shared this insight while calling into Rylan's Saturday afternoon programme. Rob said: "I keep walking up to people and they know, obviously, that we're friends, but you can feel the slight sense of disappointment that they're like, 'Oh where's Rylan?' As if I'm the warm-up act. I'm like the rubbish warm-up act that no one shows up for." Rylan, aged 36, responded: "But Rob, that's what I get. Everyone goes, 'Oh, where's Rob? Where's Rob?'". Before their Italian tour together, both Rob and Rylan experienced painful separations. The programme saw them opening up about their experiences as they bonded over a drink. ‌ After scooping a BAFTA, Rylan opened up about his personal life, saying: "For me, the show, it happened at a really weird time for me like I still wasn't fully over sort of the breakdown of my marriage and was flung with the judge. It was the best therapy I needed, put it that way." Rylan continued: "I think the journey, and I hate that word in telly but it's so true, when you watch our series, that journey from when we meet to sort of how raw, especially I was at that time." ‌ Meanwhile, Rob, who celebrated his wedding to former spouse Seth Cummings in 2013 with none other than Benedict Cumberbatch leading the ceremony, later parted ways with his partner in 2018, with sources describing the split as "very sad". Launching into TV fame with Judge Rinder in 2014, Rob has since danced his way onto shows like Strictly Come Dancing, enjoyed a spot on Celebrity Gogglebox, and popped up on Good Morning Britain. Keeping his legal wits sharp, he also serves as a junior counsel at London's prestigious 2 Hare Court. Meanwhile, Rylan first came into the limelight during 2012's X Factor run. Post-X Factor fame saw him enter the Celebrity Big Brother house in January 2013, shortly after his singing contest stint, and he's since become a familiar face on programmes such as This Morning.

"I don't have carpets on the ground floor and this is disgusting but I was doing an interview a while ago and my puppy pooed on the floor during the chat. But you don't worry if you have wooden floors. Two words: wipe clean."
