I don't know where it is but I'm thinking it's either there - I've got to send it to CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) or the ATSB (Australian Transport Safety Bureau)," Mr Wright said, according to the transcript provided by prosecutors.Mr Gullaci also told the court that Mr Wright had visited Mr Robinson at a Brisbane hospital to put "the hard word" on the injured pilot. He alleged Mr Wright asked Mr Robinson to transfer flight hours from the crashed aircraft to another helicopter.During the defence's opening statement, lawyer David Edwardson SC said that under-recording flight hours was standard practice for many pilots in the NT – but Mr Wright "emphatically denies" he broke the law trying to cover this up.Both parties agree that authorities were ultimately provided the correct, original flight records, he said, and recordings captured inside Mr Wright's home and relied upon for two of the key allegations were "extremely poor".He added that the defence would dispute the evidence of conversations between Mr Wright and Mr Robinson, saying the pilot's credibility - as well as his extended family's - was "seriously in issue".Mr Wright is best known globally as the star of National Geographic's Outback Wrangler and Netflix's Wild Croc Territory reality shows. The 43-year-old also owns several local tourism businesses and has been a tourism ambassador for Australia.His trial is expected to run for up to five weeks.

The 38-year-old fronted County Court on Wednesday to plead guilty to a single count of child sexual assault, and five further counts of sexual penetration of a minor. Her lawyer, Anna Dixon, said the 38-year-old was remorseful for her actions and wrote a letter of apology to the teen's mother. Hill's partner had uncovered the offending and directed her to inform the school or he would himself. She contacted her assistant principal and a day later the student filed a police report. Two weeks later, police charged Hill with the offences to which she has pleaded guilty and released her on bail. Despite police prohibitions, Hill continued to contact her victim and secretly met up with her in a playground to engage in sexual acts at midnight. Ms Dixon said Hill's partner later walked out on her with their two children, aged eight and four, and left Hill's 'life in ruins'. She had complex reasons for offending, the lawyer said, including a borderline personality disorder, fantasies of love, and poor understanding of personal boundaries. 'She was feeling unseen, unloved and exhausted – and the very need for powerful intimacy was not being met,' Ms Dixon argued. She said Hill had no history of attraction to other females or children, but the 15-year-old's attention made her feel wanted. Hill also stayed the night with the 15-year-old at her grandfather's home before she was arrested for a second time late last year and kept on remand. The mother-of-two was hired at the school in 2023 to teach math where she also joined the wellbeing staff, hired to help students with behavioural and learning difficulties. She claimed she tried to cut-off the relationship five times before engaging in sexual conduct with the teen. She told the 15-year-old it was not a good idea to kiss, before kissing her anyway. Judge Claire Quin will detail Hill's sentence on August 15. She could be looking at up to ten years behind bars. The 38-year-old has been banned from having personal visits or copies of pictures of her children in her cell due to the nature of her offending.

Warner Bros Discovery's revenue surges on streaming expansion, box-office hits
Aug 7 (Reuters) - Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.O), opens new tab topped Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue on Thursday, boosted by the international expansion of HBO Max and blockbuster releases including U.S. top grosser "A Minecraft Movie." The company gained 3.4 million global streaming subscribers in the quarter ended June, fueled by the launch of rebranded HBO Max in Australia. Analysts at Visible Alpha had expected 2.71 additions. "A Minecraft Movie", inspired by the iconic video game, grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide, while Michael B. Jordan starrer "Sinners" powered past $360 million at the global box office. The July release of DC movie "Superman" is expected to further drive growth for the company. HBO Max, which is known for its extensive library of originals, movies and series from Warner Bros, and DC Universe, globally rolled out into multiple markets in July, including Albania, Armenia and Georgia. During the quarter, the streaming platform also saw hits like the season finale of medical drama series "The Pitt". WBD, which is restructuring into studio-focused Warner Bros and cable-centric Discovery Global, reported second-quarter revenue of $9.81 billion. Analysts had expected $9.76 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
