Tempur-Pedic's Memorial Day sale just got exciting — save up to $1,300 with the adjustable base bundle
I've been paying close attention to Tempur-Pedic this Memorial Day and my vigilance has been rewarded with this dreamy deal for sleepers with joint pain — 40% off the Tempur-Cloud mattress and Ease Power Base at Tempur-Pedic. That brings a queen down to $2,198.40 (was $2,998). That's a huge $799.60 saving.
Crafted using NASA foams, Tempur-Pedic beds are known for their pressure-relieving feel that puts them among the best mattresses you can buy online.
The addition of the Ease Power Base adds another layer of space-age comfort; zero gravity positioning. Lifting the head and the feet, this sleep position is used to achieve a weightless, no pressure feel to minimize pain.
Let's explore why this is one of my top picks in the Memorial Day mattress sales 2025...
Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud Mattress + Ease Power Base: twin was $2,598 now $1,918.40 at Tempur-PedicThe Tempur-Cloud mattress is an all-foam mattress made using multiple layers of iconic Tempur Material to create a body-hugging feel. In our Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Cloud mattress review we praised the "great pressure relief", noting how the foams contour to the joints to relieve aches and pains. Bundling your mattress with an Ease Power Base helps enhance that pain relief, raising the head and the feet to reduce pressure on the spine as you sleep. For ultimate relaxation, try the zero gravity position. Purchasing the two together saves you 40%, reducing a queen size to $2,198.40 (was $2,998) plus you get a $200 instant gift — simply add any Tempur-Pedic sleep accessories under $200 to your cart to get them for free.
Our review (mattress only): ★★★½User score (mattress only): ★★★★½ (3,000+ reviews)
I'm used to seeing 30% off the Tempur-Cloud mattress in the Tempur-Pedic mattress sales but this Memorial Day 'sitebuster' saving is much rarer.
When you purchase the Tempur-Cloud mattress with an Ease Power Base, you can save 40% off the entire purchase. This is the biggest percentage discount I've ever seen on the Tempur-Cloud.
And as an added bonus, today you get a $200 instant gift as well. To make the most of this offer, select any sleep accessories that take your fancy and add them to your cart. Tempur-Pedic will automatically take off $200 — might I suggest the Tempur-Cloud Dual Cooling pillow?
Tempur-Pedic has even upped the benefits. As well as the 90-night trial and 10-year warranty (standard with the Tempur-Cloud mattress) you can also claim free white glove delivery with your power base purchase.
Nectar Adjustable Comfort Classic Bundle: twin XL from $1,148 at NectarNectar's Adjustable Comfort Bundle pairs an adjustable bed base with the Nectar mattress of your choice. For shoppers on a budget, our Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress review team recommend this mid-range model which, combined with the head and foot elevation of the base, offers excellent support to back sleepers. A queen costs $1,298 in the Nectar mattress sale and comes with a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty. Unlike the Tempur-Cloud bundle this deal is nothing new but the price is still special.
Our review (mattress only): ★★★★½User score (mattress only): ★★★★½ (50,000+ reviews)

The vagus nerve is your longest cranial nerve, connecting your brain to several of your internal organs, including your heart, lungs and digestive system. The word vagus is Latin for wandering. It was given this name because it looks like it's wandering throughout the body, since it is so thoroughly spread out. Your vagus nerve is responsible for signaling the brain to activate your relaxation response by releasing calming neurotransmitters like serotonin. Vagnus nerve stimulation (VNS) works by delivering electrical impulses to the nerve. Thanks to the Pulsetto's technology, the stimulation process no longer requires needles or surgery, but is non-invasive, wearable technology. Stimulating the vagus nerve helps to aid in relaxation, which means it is helping to inhibit the stress response in your body, lowering blood pressure and reducing inflammation. A majority of Pulsetto customers feel the difference in a matter of days or week, depending on their health factors. Shop Pulsetto's wearable tech Does Pulsetto offer a warranty? Yes! Blood shortage looms as summer demand surges
JOPLIN, Mo. — We're in the midst of the '100 Deadliest Days of Summer' a time when the demand for a life-saving donation spikes – but the supply drops. 'Do something for my fellow man,' said Phyllis Petty, blood donor. She says living in a volatile world makes her feel compelled to do something. 'You know, I feel like God blessed me with good health, and I might as well pass it on to someone else,' said Petty. Donations like hers could end up at one of 43 hospitals served by the Community Blood Centers of the Ozarks, like Freeman Health System in Joplin, where it'll be used by someone like Dr. Brock Carney. 'Summer months are busier, because of trauma,' said Dr. Carney. That's because: 'Accidents tend to happen in the summer.' Dr. Carney says that at Freeman alone, they average about 540 units of blood. 'We see quite a bit of blunt trauma, mostly, car accidents, falls, but also gunshot wounds, stab wounds, any kind of trauma, really, can cause hemorrhagic shock.' Meaning the need for a blood transfusion. Sometimes, they'll have to use what he calls a 'massive transfusion protocol.' 'Which means they need more than ten units of blood products in a 24-hour period,' said Dr. Carney. But there's a problem. 'We collect 40% of blood donations from high school and college students,' said Michelle Teter, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. And during the '100 Deadliest Days' the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day when schools are out – demand for those donations spikes. 'So, it's kind of a little perfect storm that creates the problem,' said Teter. The CBCO collects roughly 200 units of blood a day from 4 donor centers and 5 to 7 mobile blood person can donate one unit of blood; that has a shelf life of 42 days. 'And a person can donate every 56 days. You see the gap there, so that's why it's a constant need,' said Teter. A need that can become even more desperate in an emergency. 'Last month, one hospital alone used 200 units over a weekend.' A blood donation takes about an hour and can save up to three lives. Something Phyllis knows firsthand. 'My husband sadly isn't with me anymore, but he required several donations, and maybe he got some of mine. We never know,' said Petty. To help meet the summer demand CBCO runs several promotional campaigns like getting tickets to see the Springfield Cardinals in exchange for your donation. You can make a donation at their Joplin facility at 2318 E 32nd Street. You can learn more about their campaigns here. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. The science behind why some people can't handle being in a noisy room
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, BGR may receive an affiliate commission. For some people, noisy environments are just too much for their brains to handle. A loud restaurant, a party with friends, or even waiting in line to catch the next subway to work can make it almost impossible to focus on what anyone around them is saying. Now, researchers may finally understand why. According to a new paper published in Brain and Language, this problem arises from distinct changes in the insulae. These are two structures within the frontal lobe that are responsible for higher-level cognitive functions like handling emotional and sensory information. Today's Top Deals Best deals: Tech, laptops, TVs, and more sales Best Ring Video Doorbell deals Memorial Day security camera deals: Reolink's unbeatable sale has prices from $29.98 These hotspots are actually vital to how the brain works, and the researchers discovered that people who struggle with hearing speech in a crowded room have completely different wiring in their brains. The left insula shows an increased connection to auditory regions within those individuals. Further, they show signs of that rewiring at all times, even when there isn't any active speech within the noisy environment. This, the researchers say, is more evidence of how our brains rewire themselves to fit the part we need them to play. This also raises new questions about how the brain works, as we previously believed that these areas would work less when the brain was at rest. However, because they were still working overtime, even when there wasn't anything to decode, means that there are distinct baseline connectivity changes we need to take into account. But the discoveries didn't stop there. The researchers wrote that one study participant had relatively poor hearing for pure tones. However, when scoring for speech-in-noise, that participant scored higher than anyone else. This could be evidence that people with hearing problems can actually rewire their brains by practicing how they pick up on sounds. It's certainly an interesting find, and one that suggests we need deeper research into hearing loss. Also, considering hearing loss is such a connected issue with individuals with dementia, the researchers believe these discoveries could also help us better understand the facets of cognitive decline. This could be especially important, as dementia cases have skyrocketed in China in recent years.
