Victim of Belton fatal motorcycle crash identified

Belton, Tx (FOX 44) – Belton police say the victim of a Saturday fatal motorcycle crash has been identified as 25-year-old Fitim Nela of Killeen.
Police say Nela was killed in a crash about 10:55 a.m. Saturday on FM 439 near Lake Park Road.
Officers said the crash occurred as a group of motorcycle riders traveling together were eastbound on FM 439. Police said Neta lost control of his motorcycle and struck the front of a Buick Sedan.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
FM 439, also known as Lake Road, was closed until shortly before 4:00 p.m. as the investigation was conducted.

Authorities said that while helping the passenger, the operator sprinted back to the vehicle, jumped through the passenger compartment into the driver's seat and attempted to flee. Officers intervened and removed the suspect from the car before he could drive away. Following a search using K9 Franco, authorities found around 18 ounces of marijuana packaged for sale, 10 pressed fentanyl pills, scales and packaging materials, and two loaded firearms. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 16-year-old boy is in the hospital after a shooting late Sunday night in Lenexa. According to the Lenexa Police Department, officers were sent to a shooting at an apartment complex in Lenexa on Buckingham Road, a few blocks west of Oak Park Mall before I-35.
