Patrick Reed finally wins on LIV Golf with birdie in 4-man playoff

Washington Post29-06-2025
CARROLLTON, Texas — Patrick Reed lost the lead with a 3-over 75 and then atoned for it by making a 15-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a four-man playoff Sunday to win LIV Golf Dallas, his first title since joining the Saudi-funded league in 2022.
Reed, who started the final round with a three-shot lead, fell behind late in the day at Maridoe Golf Club until Jinichiro Kozuma made bogey on the 18th hole and then made par on his final hole at No. 1 for a 68.

Browns, Isaiah Bond saga gets two more updates

Former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond may have jumped the gun when he announced that he would be signing with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night. While the two sides haven't agreed to a deal yet, the Browns and Bond are expected to make the move official in the coming days. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland dot com has reported that Bond is set to fly to Cleveland on Saturday and is expected to ink his contract when the team returns from their trip to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Sunday. He prospectively joins a room of Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, Diontae Johnson, and more. This gives Bond a pretty clear path toward making the 53-man roster in one of the Browns' weaker position groups on the roster. Cabot, however, dropped a second update in her report as well. According to the Browns insider, Bond is also unlikely to face any sort of discipline after his sexual assault case was thrown out by a judge on Thursday. This would then seemingly set a precedent for running back Quinshon Judkins, who also had his charges dropped and case thrown out stemming from a July arrest for domestic violence and battery. Regardless, it looks like two players will be cut, and two more will be signed before the Browns get back on the practice field on Monday.
