Jordan Spieth's Next Move Revealed After Travelers Withdrawal
Jordan Spieth's Next Move Revealed After Travelers Withdrawal originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jordan Spieth is one of the most beloved figures in golf today. The three-time major winner is always fun to watch for his ability to get up and down from seemingly impossible positions, his hot-mic commentary on his shots and his banter with longtime caddie, Michael Greller. Following Spieth's unexpected withdrawal, it was uncertain what his next move would be. A recent Instagram post reveals what the 31-year-old Texan is up to this week. 'Hit one shot and then felt a little bit in my neck, but it didn't…felt fine,' he told reporters on Sunday. However, as he took his next driver swing just minutes before his tee time, he heard and felt his neck 'crack.' 'I don't know exactly what happened…but just couldn't move,' Hovland added. Couldn't really do anything.' Hovland's withdrawal was the latest in a series of unfortunate exits at Travelers, including Jordan Spieth (shoulder), Si Woo Kim (back), and Eric Cole (illness). Hovland faces an uncertain recovery timeline. Treatments such as rest, physiotherapy and imaging scans will be essential in determining next steps.
