NFL Analyst Sends Stern Message to Cowboys QB Dak Prescott
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. As the quarterback of the most iconic franchise in the NFL, Dak Prescott has had to deal with outside noise and lofty expectations for his entire career. This season is no different, as one former player turned analyst sent a strong message to the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. During Tuesday's edition of ESPN's "NFL Live," Marcus Spears gave his thoughts on the Cowboys heading into the 2025 campaign. Following their offseason upgrades, he feels Prescott has nothing to hide behind and has the pieces in place to put together a strong season. Cox/Getty Images "I put it on Dak Prescott," Spears said. "What do we hear every year about Dak Prescott? Great leader, understands how to lead a team, gets everybody involved. He's a guy that these people want to follow, he's the face of the franchise. Well, you up Dak Prescott. Not only in your leadership, but now you have guys on both sides of the field at the wide receiver position that can make plays, so there will be no excuses." .@mspears96 explains why the pressure is on Dak Prescott this season 👀 — NFL on ESPN (@ESPNNFL) June 10, 2025 The Cowboys took a big gamble this offseason by acquiring George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers. While he's had his fair share of off-field drama, he has the potential to be a top receiver in the league. Most notably, Prescott now has one of the top receiver duos at his disposal in 2025. Heading into this season, Prescott will be looking to bounce back in a big way for the Cowboys. 2024 was a year to forget for him, as it was cut short due to injury. In a Week 9 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, Prescott suffered a hamstring injury that required surgery and left him sidelined for the remainder of the season. Before going down, the Cowboys star totaled just shy of 2,000 passing yards along with 11 touchdowns. Between returning from injury and having new weapons at his disposal, Prescott has an array of expectations to meet. With Pickens in the mix now, many believe Dallas can have one of the league's top offenses. As the leader on that side of the ball, Prescott will be tasked with maximizing the production of all the players around him. The Cowboys are likely to go through some growing pains, as they have numerous moving parts coming in the season. Aside from trading for Pickens, their biggest offseason change was promoting Brian Schottenheimer to head coach. This could be viewed as a positive for Prescott, as he put together one of the best years of his career when Schottenheimer took over as offensive coordinator. Only time will tell if Prescott can bounce back and be a top-tier QB for the Cowboys or succumb to the weight of all the pressure and expectations.

Titans QB Will Levis Catches Stray in Controversial Video From Hated Rival
Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis has taken a lot of flack during his first two NFL seasons. While he has certainly underperformed, fans have often gone too far criticizing him for his reckless turnovers as well as his endorsement deal with Hellman's mayonnaise. Unfortunately, the writing seems to be on the wall for him in Tennessee already, as the franchise just selected quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick. Ward will almost certainly be the starter for the Titans in Week 1, which means that Levis will either serve as a backup or be moved before the season. Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis (8).Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images On Wednesday, the official NFL schedules were released for all 32 teams. The social media groups for each franchise have taken pride in recent years by revealing the schedule in unique ways, and oftentimes, opposing teams and players are the butt of the joke. Advertisement The Indianapolis Colts, a hated AFC South rival, poked fun at Levis during their reveal. In the video, they depicted a bachelorette party in Nashville being on a bus that runs over Levis, spilling the mayonnaise that he was eating onto the sidewalk. While these jokes are typically in good, clean fun, the Colts crossed the line a number of times. They came under fire for several aspects of their video, prompting them to take it down. The Titans will have a chance to avenge these petty jokes when they take on the Colts at home in Week 3. Then, they'll go on the road for their second matchup in Week 8. Cowboys Headlines: Dak Prescott on Pickens; offensive playmakers cross-training positions
Cowboys Headlines: Dak Prescott on Pickens; offensive playmakers cross-training positions Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott spoke with the media Thursday before the team broke for the summer, and he took the opportunity to bust a popular myth about his new wide receiver. Read on to learn what Prescott said George Pickens is really like, and why- in his 10th year now- he's more focused on a Super Bowl than ever. And where will the QB take his pass-catchers for this year's annual retreat? Meanwhile, Micah Parsons confirms that he and Jerry Jones have talked numbers, Brian Schottenheimer reveals that some of his offensive players are practicing at new positions, and the team brings in five NFL veterans for workouts. We'll go inside the roster to identify the defense's most underrated piece, forecast the full offensive line depth chart, and tell you which unexpected defensive back could be making a move toward a starting role. All that, plus wedding bells for one Cowboy, and the head coach gets emotional remembering his legendary dad just before Father's Day. Dak Prescott nixes narrative about Pickens, restates endgame: 'I wanna win a championship' :: The Mothership Link The quarterback says he's "super excited" about the offense that's been assembled around him this year, saying the frequently-maligned George Pickens has been "phenomenal" since joining the Cowboys. The veteran now entering his 10th year says he is far more focused on winning a championship for the team than he is on his legacy. Dak Prescott-led tradition marks next step in Dallas Cowboys' offseason checklist :: Dallas Morning News Link Prescott putting together a retreat for offensive skill position players has become an annual tradition. 'You can catch a lot of JUGS, you can catch passes, but you want them catching them from you, catching them from the quarterbacks,' Prescott said Thursday after the final day of the mandatory minicamp. 'And then lastly, there's that camaraderie. Getting those guys together." No word on where the group may be headed this summer. Micah Parsons confirms informal extension agreement with Jerry Jones; Cowboys DE participating in minicamp :: Pro Football Rumors Link Parsons says his face-to-face talks with Jerry Jones have resulted in a price point that the owner apparently called "doable." The two spoke at length on the practice field this week, and Parsons even put on a helmet and jumped in on a few drills, so it seems things are headed in the right direction, even if slowly. Predicting contracts, trades for Cowboys' Micah Parsons, six other major NFL players in minicamp situations :: CBS Sports Link Parsons is one of the faces of this franchise, and he'll likely be rewarded as such. But in true Cowboys fashion, it may not happen until the last possible minute. The prediction here is for a four-year extension worth $162 million. Brian Schottenheimer's culture, connections mean zero until it all goes to hell | Opinion :: Fort Worth Star-Telegram Link The dancing, the TikTok calls, and the ping-pong table are all great, writes Mac Engel. But the Cowboys won't know if any of these 'connections' and 'culture' mean a thing until the first losses of the regular season, until wide receivers are complaining about a lack of targets, until the injury report is three miles long, the team has to go into New York for a night game, and the goal is survival. Former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was a fan of these sorts of things, too. We'll soon find out how Schottenheimer handles the tougher times. Positional cross-training a key part of Cowboys' offseason plans :: Nick Harris Cowboys' new workouts include 75-game NFL starter, All-UFL defender, former draft picks :: Cowboys Wire Link The Cowboys are mining the spring league's rosters again, bringing in All-UFL defensive end Perrion Winfrey- and others- for a workout. All five prospects have NFL experience, including offensive tackle George Fant, who played with three different teams and has 75 starts on his resume. Dante Fowler: The most underrated player on the Cowboys defense? :: Inside the Star Link Fowler logged 10 sacks over two previous years with the Cowboys, yet few fans seemed distraught when he left for Washington. Now he's back in Dallas with a double-digit sack season under his belt and a clear path to more snaps with DeMarcus Lawrence gone. He may be the most underrated player on the entire team. Sorting out Cowboys' OL depth could create an interesting dilemma :: Blogging the Boys Link Dallas typically carries about 10 offensive linemen on the 53-man roster. Once you get past the starting five, things get very interesting, with names like Brock Hoffman, Asim Richards, T.J. Bass, Robert Jones, Saahdiq Charles, Nathan Thomas, and rookie Ajani Cornelius all vying for spots. Cowboys offseason darling finally cracks starting lineup (but there's a big caveat) :: The Landry Hat Link Kemon Hall got work with the first-team defense this week, and there may be more coming, based on his performance. A former North Texas standout, Hall made waves during training camp last summer, too. He didn't make the initial 53, but he ended up seeing time in six games after being called up from the practice squad. Injuries to Trevon Diggs and rookie Shavon Revel could push DaRon Bland outside, and that may open the door for Hall to start at nickel. RHOP's Jassi Rideaux marries Dallas Cowboys player Darius Harris in opulent Texas wedding :: People Link The Cowboys linebacker, who already has three Super Bowl rings from his time with the Chiefs, now has a wedding band, too. He and his Real Housewives of Potomac fiancee tied the knot last week at a huge mansion just outside of Dallas. Juanyeh Thomas, Ryan Flournoy, Dakoda Shepley, Buddy Johnson, and Kemon Hall were among the Cowboys who attended the lavish affair.
