Police: Danvers man arrested for reckless driving, resisting arrest in New Hampshire
A Danvers man was arrested early Saturday morning after reportedly driving upwards of 100 mph and resisting arrest.
Around 3:45 A.M., a New Hampshire State Trooper was on patrol on Interstate-93 South in Manchester when he noticed a black Cadillac XTS driving erratically, going 11 mph.
The State Trooper pulled the Cadillac over and identified the driver, 21-year-old Kevin Mwaura of Danvers, Mass.
When Mwaura was told that he was being placed under arrest for reckless operation, he became non-compliant and resisted arrest.
Mwaura was also non-compliant when being booked. He also declined bail.
Mwaura is being held at Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, April 7, 2025, in Manchester District Court.

Guatemalan national indicted after federal agent seriously injured in Rhode Island, US Attorney says
A federal grand jury has indicted a Guatemalan national after a Homeland Security agent suffered a serious injury while trying to arrest him on a warrant in April, the U.S. Attorney said. Miguel Tamup-Tamup, a/k/a Miguel US Tamup, 28, who was previously deported and is in the U.S. illegally, is charged with two counts of assaulting, resisting, opposing, impeding, or interfering with federal officers engaged in official duties, Acting U.S. Attorney Sara Miron Bloom said in a statement on Thursday. Federal authorities arrested Tamup-Tamup on May 16 at a home in Providence. He has been detained since making an initial appearance in federal court on that day. On April 30, a Homeland Security Investigations agent suffered a serious leg injury during an encounter with Tamup-Tamup, who fled authorities that day after he was previously arrested after a DUI crash, Miron Bloom said. On April 19, police arrested Tamup-Tamup for driving under the influence after his car allegedly collided with another vehicle, prosecutors said. He was subsequently arraigned and released. His fingerprints matched ICE fingerprint records associated with a person flagged as being in the United States illegally. On April 30, an ICE deportation officer and Homeland Security Investigations agents stopped a car that Tamup-Tamup was driving, Miron Bloom said. They tried to apprehend him on an arrest warrant. After he refused to get out of his car, Tamup-Tamup was guided out of the vehicle, prosecutors said. While the agents tried to place Tamup-Tamup in handcuffs, he 'allegedly resisted, threw his upper body and shoulders against the agents, flailed his arms, and broke an agent's hold,' Miron Bloom said. One of the agents fell to the ground and suffered a serious leg injury, Miron Bloom said. Tamup-Tamup ran away from law enforcement as others were helping the injured agent. Two children seriously injured after being struck by car in NH, police say
Police blocked off several roadways on Thursday afternoon after two children were struck by a car. Authorities say the collision happened on Belmont Street. The two juvenile victims were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. It's unclear if the driver remained at the scene or if they will face charges. Belmont at Hanover and Belmont from Lake Avenue to Spruce Street are closed to traffic. All motorists are being asked to avoid the area. The incident remains under investigation. Cops Say Handcuffed Car Chase Suspect Steals Police SUV, Starts 2nd Car Chase
A man in Texas is facing multiple charges after authorities say he led police in two high-speed pursuits in one night — including one in which he was handcuffed. According to a report by Fox 4 News Grand Prairie, the man was arrested for allegedly stealing a Cadillac; then, while handcuffed in the back of a police SUV, he stole that vehicle — and the second pursuit began. According to authorities, 22-year-old Kendral Pickett was driving a stolen Cadillac on Interstate 20 in Grande Prairie, Texas; police were called when motorists spotted the car driving erratically and without headlights. ABC 8 Dallas reports that the Cadillac crashed during a pursuit that reached speeds of 100 mph, at which point Pickett fled on foot before eventually being tracked down by a police K-9 unit and arrested. Police say Pickett, who suffered minor injuries during the arrest, was handcuffed and placed in the back of a Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle while awaiting medical treatment. However, the Tahoe did not have a partition between the front and rear seats — so authorities say the suspect managed to wiggle the handcuffs in front of his body, climb behind the wheel of the police SUV and speed away, sparking chase number two of the evening. According to authorities, Pickett reached speeds of 100 mph behind the wheel of the Grand Prairie patrol vehicle before police deployed spike strips, causing the suspect to lose control of the SUV, which rolled down an embankment. Pickett reportedly suffered minor injuries in this second pursuit and left the scene in an ambulance. Pickett now faces two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of evading arrest, one count of escape while arrested and assault on a public servant.
