Music Legend Issues Heartbreaking Health Update Before Concert
Legendary singer Tom Jones was forced to postpone his Bremen, Germany concert just hours before he was set to take the stage on Tuesday, July 22.
The 85-year-old Welsh icon has been touring across the UK and Europe this summer as part of his Ages & Stages Tour. The Bremen show was meant to be the final performance of his German tour dates.
However, Jones took to social media to deliver disappointing news to his fans.
"Hello to all the fans in Bremen. Unfortunately, I must postpone my show this evening, as I've contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest,' he wrote. 'I know this is really disappointing and will cause inconvenience to you all, and I'm very sorry about that."
The 'It's Not Unusual' hitmaker assured fans that the show would be rescheduled. "But the show will now go ahead on Monday 28th July, so I look forward to seeing you then. All tickets will remain valid for the re-scheduled date."
Fans immediately flooded his page with supportive messages for the 'Delilah' singer, who recently celebrated his 85th birthday. "Please take care of yourself. Rest and get through this moment well," one concerned fan wrote, while another added, "Take the time you need!"
This isn't the first time Jones has faced health challenges that affected his touring schedule. In 2018, Sir Tom contracted a bacterial infection that forced him to cancel several concerts.
Despite these occasional setbacks, the beloved performer remains optimistic about his health and career. Just last year, he spoke confidently about his condition to the Mirror.
"Well, thank God my voice is still working. I am 83 years old. I mean I can't believe it, but it is true. When I am singing I am like, 'How the hell is this coming out of me?' Honestly. If the voice was not there I am sure I would be going 'Urgh, I don't want to do so many shows' but I love it as the voice is still working!"
The rescheduled Bremen concert will take place on Monday, July 28, with all original tickets remaining valid for the new date.

He played the final show of the summer tour on July 19 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and fans were shocked when he brought out a true rock icon to perform alongside him. The crowd went absolutely wild when Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers came out on stage for "You Wreck Me." As the person who recorded the moment so perfectly stated, "When legends collide." Strait sounds amazing on this tune, though there honestly isn't anything he can't sing. People who watched the clip were clearly impressed, with one fan saying, "Tom would dig this! ♥️" Oh, he definitely would have. He is best known by fans for his roles in movies such as Barbie and The Notebook. One of his upcoming projects, however, shows him in an entirely different light. The first sneak peek of Gosling's character in the film Project Hail Mary gave everybody a hint of what to expect, and fans are eager to see the film. On June 30, Extra shared the first official trailer for Project Hail Mary. The first seconds of the clip show Gosling in character with a bushy beard and long hair. Gosling's unkempt mustache and beard, and unwashed, long, stringy hair, are a big change from the actor's usual style. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film debuts in theaters on March 20, 2026. The film is an adaptation of the Andy Weir novel with the same name that was released in May 2021. The storyline revolves around Gosling's character, Ryland Grace. He is a middle school teacher who is challenged with the difficult task of saving the planet Earth. Grace ends up on a spaceship, confused over why he is there and lacking any recollection of his past. He tries to bow out of being tasked with the massive responsibility, but learns he doesn't have a choice in the matter. The first sneak peek at the film generated a big response. "Ryan Gosling in another sci-fi movie? I am there! I love that after decades of dramas and indies, he's finally doing more mainstream movies," one fan shared on YouTube. Another YouTube user wrote, "I love this book and dude Ryan Gosling is hitting that character perfectly in this preview!" Someone else added, "So surreal seeing this adapted.
