As much as I love the physical formats my stereo system can play, I still like the convenience of streamed music. Just grab my phone, queue some Kpop, and away I go to musical Nirvana — and Wiim has made some of the devices that have helped me get there.
Wiim makes streaming devices and streaming amps that connect to the internet and play your tunes from the likes of Tidal and Qobuz. In the Prime Day sales, the prices on a bunch of these devices just dropped to all-time lows.
How about the beginner Wiim Amp for $239 at Amazon? Just add speakers for some of the best sound you've ever heard. Want to add something extra to your older system? Pick up the Wiim Pro for $119 at Amazon.
The whole family is in on the action: Here are the best Wiim Prime Day deals.
The Wiim Pro is the core of the Wiim line. It's a simple device, lacking a screen, but it's super simple to use. You hook it up to your chosen device with RCA, and it lends your speakers or even a compatible soundbar streaming capabilities. It's all controlled with the excellent Wiim home app and the good remote control that comes in the box. It sounds great and offers very stable streaming for even the highest resolution tracks and streaming services.
The Wiim Ultra is my favorite Wiim device at the moment. It offers great streaming quality for connected devices and packs in extras like a phono pre-amp and sub out if your system lacks them. The little touch screen on the front is the icing on the cake. This is the lowest price we've seen the Wiim Ultra land.
Wiim's latest device is an amplifier that lacks any kind of streaming skills, but makes up for it in sheer power. This is the first amp on the list, and thanks to its peak 100W of power, it will power almost any pair of speakers you might throw at it. There are three inputs on the back, ready to receive a CD player, streamer, and more. This is the lowest price we've ever seen on the Vibelink Amp.
The Wiim Amp is the beginner streaming amp in the line. It has a peak power of 60W per channel for speakers that need some extra oomph, and the streaming capabilities of the Wiim Pro are ready for some hi-res streaming. As with all other Wiim streaming devices, this is controlled with the Wiim home app or the included remote control. This is the largest discount I've seen for the Wiim Amp.
Housed in a similar shell to the Wiim Amp, the Amp Pro adds in some extra power and a more potent amplification circuit. That means better sound and more power for larger speakers. This is also a streaming amplifier, so you can stream music from your favorite streaming services with a WiFi connection. This is the lowest price the Amp Pro has ever been.
The Wiim Mini is the baby of the family — just plug into your speakers or HiFi with the included RCA to 3.5mm wire, and you're streaming music in Hi-Res. It works through the Wiim Home app, and doesn't include the Wiim Remote. This is the lowest price we've seen for the Wiim Mini.
There are plenty more deals to be had this Prime Day — make sure you check out our Prime Day live blog to make sure you're staying on top of all the latest sales and offers.

James Bond 'has to be a guy', says Helen Mirren

Dame Helen Mirren has said James Bond should be played by a man, even though she is "such a feminist". In a new interview with Saga Magazine, the Oscar-winning actor said "you can't have a woman. It just doesn't work. James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise it becomes something else". Amazon MGM Studios will produce the next iteration of the spy franchise, with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight set to write what will become the 26th film in the series. The Studios previously said they were planning a "fresh" take on franchise but would honour the "legacy" of the "iconic character". The 80-year-old is currently starring opposite former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan in the much anticipated film adaption of The Thursday Murder Club, in which she plays a retired spy. Brosnan, 72, also told the magazine that he believed a male actor should continue to play Bond and he was excited to "see a whole new exuberance and life for this character." He starred in four Bond films during his tenure as 007, starting with GoldenEye in 1995 and finishing with Die Another Day, which was released in 2002. Mirren has previously been quoted saying that the concept of James Bond was "born out of profound sexism", and that women have always been an "incredibly important part" of the Secret Service. Mirren and Brosnan are not the first to push back on the idea of Bond being played by a woman, with the sentiment echoed by Brosnan's Die Another Day costar, Halle Berry. "In 2025, it's nice to say, 'Oh, she should be a woman.' But, I don't really know if I think that's the right thing to do," she said, speaking at Cannes Film Festival in May. The James Bond franchise was owned by the Broccoli family for more than 60 years, but producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson sold creative control to Amazon for a reported $1bn (£760m) earlier this year. Speculation about who will next play the titular character has been rife, with British actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and James Norton rumoured as frontrunners for the part. There is no current release date set for the next film. Who will be the next James Bond? Speculation mounts after Amazon buys 007 Peaky Blinders creator will write new James Bond film Amazon plans 'fresh' James Bond but will respect 007 legacy

(Which is totally just crying in front of the mirror for a good 20 minutes, trying to make both sides look the same.) Fret no more with this superhero of a beauty tool our makeup ancestors could only dream of! A shampoo scalp massager perfect for taking your self-care game to the next level in or out of the shower. I use this with my Mielle rosemary oil, and not only does it feel lovely, but it helps stimulate the roots and get the most out of my haircare products. A gentle bubbly clay mask that's carbonated, because soda shouldn't be the only thing bringing a little bubble to your life... It should be in your skincare routine, too! Clay-like going on, and thick and foamy when it's done the work, get ready to feel like Glinda coming down in your very own clay mask bubble on your next big self-care night. Alleyoop's portable travel razor that will give you the ability to shave on the go without having to contend with your regular long-handled monstrosity elbowing out your mascara from the packing list. Just spin the wheel to reveal your triple-blade razor, moisturizing bar, and refillable spray bottle. A Marshmallow Whip Maker, which, for all intents and purposes, is a magic wand that will turn your boring ol' cleansers into a foamy marshmallow dream. And it's *extra* helpful if you have two cleansers you love (🙋‍♀️) and want to mix them together in the most decadent way possible. A soothing Jelly Lip Melt some reviewers say works even better than Laneige! And *this one* comes in the cutest (and most gift-able) little jelly mold that will light up your nightstand and nourish your lips. A mini macaron gel manicure kit because one of the biggest perks of doing your nails at home is making it ~aesthetic~, and this is a dessert for your eyes and for your nails. Tonymoly's cult-fave, underrated Wonder Ceramide Mochi Toner with a milky consistency the whole internet goes gaga for AND WITH GOOD REASON. It helps calm your skin, gives you a bouncy, clear texture, and makes the perfect base for your makeup. A bottle of thermal color-changing nail polish to save yourself from choosing just *one* shade on your next nail day. If you were all about those temperature-changing spoons as a kid and wish you could bring more of that energy into your adult life, Cirque Colors has got you. A set of iridescent mermaid makeup brushes if your grown-up version of playing mermaids is perfecting your shimmery eye look. A bar of natural, plastic-free solid shampoo perfect for travel (no TSA liquid limits here!) or for just being a little kinder to the environment because there's no plastic packaging involved. Imagine. A set of "Mini Scoops" ice cream-themed face masks because peak self-care is a dessert-themed night that's great for your skin *and* won't cause a tummy ache. A set of sunscreen reminder stickers so you can have a visual reminder to reapply instead of, you know, a burn reminder that you didn't. When your sunscreen wears off, the sticker turns a cheery purple to remind *you* not to end up a not-so-cheery red. And a refillable sunscreen sponge applicator if you LOVE the protection sunscreen offers, but not so much the goopy-hand feeling that can come with it. Dab it onto yourself with this spongy applicator and you (and any kiddos in the vicinity) will actually look forward to reapplying instead of dreading it. And finally, a Wonderskin Wonder Blading One Step Lip Stain Masque for the kind of long-lasting waterproof color that even a fairy godmother couldn't accomplish on her own. Let it sit for 30 seconds, and you're set for a day of gorgeously hued lips! When your mermaid brushes finally arrive: Reviews have been edited for length and/or clarity.

1 Brilliant Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stock That Will Be Worth More Than Apple by 2030

Key Points AWS and advertising drive Amazon's growth. Apple hasn't released an innovative product or feature in some time. 10 stocks we like better than Amazon › Apple is the world's third-largest company by a wide margin, with a $1 trillion gap between it and fourth-place Alphabet . However, I think several companies are slated to pass Apple in market share over the next five years, including fifth-place Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), which is valued at around $2.4 trillion compared to Apple's $3.5 trillion. That's a wide gap to make up in five years, but looking at Amazon's growth tailwinds versus Apple's makes it fairly clear that Amazon is the much better stock pick. Amazon has two business units driving profit growth Apple's business is fairly straightforward; it's the leading consumer tech brand and generates significant revenue selling iPhones and other products in the Apple ecosystem. Amazon is a bit more complex, as it has the online store that most investors are familiar with, but that's not the best reason to invest in it. Although its online stores division posted the best quarter in a long time (revenue rose 11% year over year), the real stars of the show are Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its advertising services division. AWS is Amazon's cloud computing platform, and it is seeing strong demand fueled by the migration of traditional workloads to the cloud, as well as by new artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. AWS grew revenue by 17% year over year in Q2, which is strong growth considering it generated nearly $31 billion in revenue during the quarter. However, AWS's primary competitors (Microsoft's Azure and Google Cloud) posted stronger growth rates in their corresponding quarters, so investors are worried about AWS's long-term ability to perform in this sector despite its being the market-share leader. AWS will likely continue to underperform its peers due to its size, but 17% growth is nothing to sneer at. AWS is also a large part of Amazon's profit picture. In Q2, it accounted for 53% of Amazon's operating profits despite accounting for only 18% of revenue. Analysts still expect cloud computing to grow rapidly over the next few years, and if Amazon surpasses Apple in market cap, this will be a primary reason why. Advertising services is Amazon's fastest-growing segment, with revenue rising 23% year over year, an acceleration over previous quarters' growth rate. Amazon has one of the most lucrative places to advertise on the internet, as consumers are already coming to their platform to make purchases. Paying to place a product at the top of an Amazon search almost guarantees increased sales. This is worth a lot to its advertising clients and will be a key part of Amazon's investment thesis over the next few years. Amazon's margins are rising Amazon isn't a revenue growth story; it's a profit growth story. The rise of high-margin businesses like AWS and advertising services has helped Amazon boost its profit margins over the past few years. AMZN Profit Margin data by YCharts With its two high-margin business segments growing faster than other parts of its business, Amazon will naturally have elevated profit growth rates. In Q2, Amazon's operating income rose 31% year over year. Contrast that with Apple, whose Q3 FY 2025 (ending June 28) operating income increased by 11%. Amazon's profit growth rate is much faster. Over five years, a 30% growth rate will increase its operating income by 271% while an 11% growth rate increases operating income by only 69%. That would be enough to drive Amazon's profits higher than Apple's, propelling it to surpass it in size along the way. Amazon is an excellent stock pick for the next five years and a no-brainer buy at today's prices. Should you invest $1,000 in Amazon right now?
