Telangana Gurukul students shine in JEE (Advanced) 2025
A total of 97 students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Society (TGSWREIS) out of 492 who appeared in the JEE (Advanced) 2025 achieved direct ranks while another 132 students secured preparatory ranks, in the results declared on Monday (June 2, 2025).
The performance was better than the previous year's tally of 82 direct ranks. The preparatory ranks also rose by 11 numbers to 132 now. And these students would qualify for counselling by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
According to Secretary Alagu Varshini, who congratulated the students, a special action plan with a team of expert faculty was administered to students who cleared the JEE Mains.
The top rankers include Anaparthi Rajasekhar (166, Gowlidoddi), Goli Sindhuja (336, Madikonda), Durgam Charan (743, Shaikpet), N. Priyanka (1,019, Narsingi), H. Amrutha (1,156, Gowlidoddi), and B. Niharika (1249, PWD).
A plan was also in place to identify high-performing students in general colleges — those scoring above 95% — and provide them with year-long coaching at centres of excellence like Gowlidoddi, Chilukuru, Narsingi and Karimnagar.
The Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Society and the Telangana Eklavya Model Residential Schools Society has 146 students who secured ranks in the exam.
Of the 285 students who were trained for JEE (Advanced), eight secured ranks in the open category, 20 bagged ranks below 1000 and about 80 students would qualify for the JoSAA counselling and secure seats.
Its top rankers are G. Soniya (63), N. Shiva (95), B. Rahul (124), L. Santhosh (178), V. Vishal (244), H. Shiva Kumar (298), R. Pavan Kalyan (322), K. Manyam (337) and P. Prashanth (476).
Secretary K. Seetha Lakshmi said a strict implementation of micro schedules, regular mock tests, personalised counselling of students, continuous monitoring with experienced principals and teaching faculty contributed to the students' success.

IIT-BHU's session for JEE Advanced qualifiers on June 11
Varanasi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), BHU will organised an open house session for candidates who qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2025 on June 11. The session will be conducted online (3.30pm-6.30pm) to ensure wider participation and accessibility. According to an IIT-BHU spokesperson, the session will be chaired by institute's director Prof Amit Patra. Key academic and administrative leaders of the institute, including the deans, the chief proctor, the council of wardens. During the session, prospective students will have the opportunity to interact directly with the leadership team and gain insights into the admission process, hostel facilities, campus security, and other aspects of life at IIT (BHU). Mrinal Kutteri developed an interest in biology and chemistry from Classes 8 and 9. His serious preparation for NEET commenced in Class 11 and continued for 3.5 years, with guidance from Aakash Institute. During an interview with India Today in 2021, the NEET topper revealed, 'I wanted to initially become an army doctor and live a life of medicine and adventure, but that gradually turned into an interest mainly in medicine. Also, the pandemic had an impact as it was inspiring to see doctors all across the world on the frontlines. Mrinal Kutteri has been a passionate gamer since Class 8. Speaking of his educational qualification, Mrinal Kutteri has got 98.16% in his ICSE Class 10 boards and 88.6% in Class 12 boards. Though he wrote some Olympiads, SpellBees, and quizzes in Class 10, he devoted his major attention to NEET preparation from Classes 11-12. The transition from offline to online learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic affected many students' learning experience. But Mrinal enjoyed the change first. Mrinal remembered how, at first, he used to enjoy having much free time during the time of lockdown so that he could give more importance to his hobbies than to his studies. But later his studies went down, and ultimately, he had to experience some time of adjustment before getting back to his routine. Unlike most of the high scorers, he never followed a rigid study schedule. Mrinal admitted that he liked an open style of learning more than sticking to a routine. He felt that spending time creating and attempting to stick to a strict schedule, only to realize it was hard to keep up with, would be a waste of time. In class 12, he had given KVPY and JEE Main without any other preparation apart from his NEET studies. In spite of that, he scored an impressive 99.9 percentile in his JEE Main exam. Hyderabad's Mrinal Kutteri was the NTA NEET 2021 entrance exam topper with All India Rank 1 and a score of 720 out of 720. While speaking with India Today(2021), the NEET topper shared, 'So, I went for a free-form and flexible pattern. I set a goal for each day and how I achieved it was up to me. There were many days when I couldn't achieve the goal, but it was not about getting demotivated or discouraged. Being okay with this free form is what I think really helped me.' Mrinal noted that his study hours fluctuated greatly from day to day. While there were times when he felt extremely productive, there were also days when he couldn't study at all. Despite the variations in his study pattern, Mrinal stated that on average, he studied for around 4 hours each day, and on especially productive days, he managed around 5 hours, in addition to his college duties. But he never went beyond that. As per a Zee News report, Mrinal successfully balanced academics with leisure. To unwind and stay motivated, he often turned to comedy series on Netflix and Prime Video, using light-hearted entertainment as a way to relieve stress. Music played a key role in Mrinal's daily routine, with artists like Taylor Swift and Linkin Park topping his playlist. Their songs served as both motivation and a tool to maintain focus during study sessions. A passionate gamer from Class 8, Mrinal had to pull back from playing during Classes 11 and 12 as he concentrated on his studies. But after NEET, he came back to his favourite pastime eagerly, immersing himself in games such as Rainbow Six and Battlefield on his PlayStation 5.

Last Updated: UGC NET June 2025: With exams tentatively starting on June 21, the NTA is expected to announce the exam schedule soon on UGC NET June 2025 Exam Timetable: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the UGC NET June 2025 examination schedule shortly. Although no official confirmation regarding the UGC NET 2025 June exam timetable has been made yet, the timetable is likely to be released soon as the exams are tentatively scheduled to begin on June 21. Based on past trends, it is anticipated that the NTA will release the detailed exam dates by the end of this week. Usually, the NTA releases the UGC NET exam timetable approximately 15 days before the examination. For instance, in 2024, the UGC NET December session commenced on January 3, 2025, and the schedule was released on December 19, 2024. Since the June 2025 exams are expected to begin on June 21, candidates can likely expect the NTA to release the examination timetable within this week. Each question is worth two marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
