Margot Robbie stuns in gothic wedding gown while filming 'Wuthering Heights' adaptation, sparking debate over authenticity
Margot Robbie turned heads as she was photographed in a dramatic off-the-shoulder wedding gown while filming Emerald Fennell's adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
The 36-year-old Australian actress plays Catherine Earnshaw in the $80 million production, set for a February 2026 release. Joining her on the misty Yorkshire Moors was Saltburn star Jacob Elordi, who portrays the brooding Heathcliff.
Robbie's voluminous costume, complete with a flowing veil and bouquet of roses, captured the attention of fans and photographers alike. The actress's transformation for the role comes just months after the birth of her first child, adding to the admiration of her return to screen.

The film is being produced by Robbie's LuckyChap Entertainment, which previously collaborated with Fennell on Saltburn and Promising Young Woman. While plot details remain under wraps, filming reportedly began in January, with the adaptation aiming to bring a modern visual approach to Emily Brontë's literary classic.
Robbie recently spoke about her co-star Elordi in Harper's Bazaar, saying, 'He's wonderful… he's got an incredible presence. He's a movie star—he's got that charisma. He holds a frame.' The pair had previously worked together behind the scenes, but Wuthering Heights marks their first time sharing the screen.
Despite the excitement, the casting has stirred controversy. Brontë's novel describes Catherine as a teenager, while Robbie is 36. Similarly, Heathcliff—often portrayed with dark skin and an ambiguous ethnic background—will be played by 27-year-old Elordi, prompting online backlash about 'whitewashing' and historical inaccuracy.
Fans also questioned the decision to cast what one critic described as 'Instagram-model actors' in a gritty period piece. Still, the film is expected to draw strong attention, given the high-profile team behind it.

Kyrgios 'disappointed' after Wimbledon blow
Nick Kyrgios will miss Wimbledon for a third successive year after another injury setback. The Australian has not played at the All England Club since reaching his only grand slam singles final in 2022, where he was beaten by Novak Djokovic. After more than two years on the sidelines with knee and wrist problems, Kyrgios returned at the start of this season but was forced to abandon plans to play doubles at the French Open after suffering another knee injury. And he has now revealed he will not be able to play in his favourite part of the season, writing on Instagram: "Just wanted to give everyone a quick update – I've hit a small setback in my recovery and unfortunately won't make it back for grass this year. "I know how much you've all been looking forward to seeing me out there, and I'm genuinely sorry to disappoint. This is just a bump in the road though, and I'm already working hard to get back stronger than ever. "Thank you for all your continued support – it means everything to me. See you soon!" The 30-year-old's career was put in jeopardy by a torn ligament in his wrist in 2023, which required surgery and kept him out for a year and a half. He finally returned to action in January but admitted after losing to Britain's Jacob Fearnley in the first round of the Australian Open that he might have played his last singles match at Melbourne Park. He was in tears when more pain in his wrist prompted him to retire at Indian Wells in March, although he did win his first singles match since 2022 against Mackenzie McDonald in Miami later that month in what was his most recent tournament. Kyrgios was still a draw at Wimbledon last year after moving into TV punditry, while he will be appearing at the New Wimbledon Theatre on June 24 as part of the live tour of his podcast 'Good Trouble'.

JoJo Siwa calls Mickey Rourke a ‘rat', says she's ‘head over heels' for Chris Hughes: 'You can't help who you love'
JoJo Siwa has spoken out about her dramatic Celebrity Big Brother experience, describing actor Mickey Rourke as 'some rat' after his remarks about her sexuality, and confirming that her relationship with fellow housemate Chris Hughes is no longer platonic. 'It's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way,' she told The Guardian. The 22-year-old pop star and business mogul revealed that the reality show not only transformed her perspective but also brought unexpected joy into her life. 'By a landslide, it is the best thing that's ever happened to me,' she said of the experience. Siwa and Hughes, who defended her during Rourke's offensive comments in the house, formed a close bond that quickly sparked fan speculation. Though she initially denied any romantic involvement, Siwa now admits the relationship has evolved. 'You can't help who you love,' she said, expressing how natural their connection has become. Despite early tabloid rumours and her recent split from Australian actor Kath Ebbs, Siwa insists her happiness is genuine. Recalling her conflict with Rourke, Siwa reflected, 'As it was happening, I just froze.' Despite the pain, she remained composed, stating firmly, 'Some rat doesn't get to ruin this for me.' She also shared how much joy Chris has brought into her life: 'Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never been in pain from smiling so much.' Siwa and Hughes' relationship began during Celebrity Big Brother UK in April 2025, where their bond quickly deepened. By May, they confirmed their romance during a holiday in Mexico, followed by a rose-filled reunion at Heathrow. A recent Snapchat post showing Hughes kissing Siwa's forehead further solidified their growing closeness.

Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackson: Relationship leaves ex Deborra-Lee Furness 'devastated,' who files for divorce
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are reportedly living together in New York City, according to multiple sources, marking a major development in their relationship and leaving his estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, 'shattered.' The Australian actors, who starred opposite each other in Broadway's The Music Man, are said to have taken their relationship to the next level following Jackman's split from Furness. A source told Australian publication New Idea that Foster has begun moving her belongings into Jackman's penthouse apartment. 'They're inseparable,' the source said. '[Sutton is] slowly migrating her things over to Hugh's place.' According to the report, Furness, 69, is deeply affected by the development. 'Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own — the place she poured her soul into,' a source said, adding that she is also concerned about the pace of Jackman's new relationship. 'She wants him to be happy — he deserves it and so do the kids — but Hugh's completely green when it comes to dating. She's concerned he's leaping into living with someone else way too soon,' the source added. Another friend reportedly told the outlet, 'It's almost unreal [for Deborra] seeing Sutton reap the rewards of all those years of her supporting Hugh.' Representatives for Jackman, Foster and Furness did not respond to requests for comment. Furness filed for divorce from the Deadpool & Wolverine star last week, after an agreement was reportedly reached privately. Their divorce has since been confirmed. According to Daily Mail, the pair worked out terms related to settlement, alimony, and future expenses for their two adopted children: Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19. 'They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out,' a source told the Daily Mail. 'Both are coming out of this financially secure.' Furness later spoke publicly about the emotional impact of the divorce, referencing betrayal and spiritual resilience in a statement: 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal… I believe in a higher power… always working FOR us.' Jackman, 56, and Furness announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Rumours of an affair between Jackman and Foster surfaced shortly afterwards, fuelled by their growing closeness during their Broadway run. Foster, who filed for divorce from her second husband Ted Griffin in October 2024, has been spotted holding hands with Jackman and sharing public displays of affection in recent months. One source revealed, 'They are 100 percent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together.'
