Sudanese heritage has taken center stage at the 'Passport to the World' festival, which runs through May 24. The event offers an immersive cultural experience with live folk music, traditional dances, and interactive workshops that bring Sudan's customs, celebrations, and community rituals to life.
Visitors can savor authentic Sudanese cuisine at a dedicated food corner featuring traditional dishes, desserts, and beverages that reflect the nation's rich hospitality. Attendees are also invited to don traditional Sudanese attire and learn about the cultural significance of regional colors and patterns.
Organized by the General Entertainment Authority, the festival celebrates the cultural richness of expatriate communities in the Kingdom and fosters coexistence through engaging, hands-on programming.
Following previous highlights of Filipino and Bangladeshi cultures, the event's Sudanese finale in Jeddah has drawn enthusiastic crowds. A similar showcase in Alkhobar earlier this year was also met with great acclaim.

National Day 2025 Theme In a statement on X, GEA announced on Monday the launch of the new identity of Saudi National Day 95, symbolizing qualities that define the Kingdom, such as generosity, ambition, authenticity, and kindness. It also expresses the deeply-rooted values in Saudi culture, which have passed down through generations. الهوية الجديدة للـ #اليوم_الوطني_95 تحت شعار #عزنا_بطبعنا 🇸🇦❤️ لتحميل الهوية: — الهيئة العامة للترفيه (@GEA_SA) August 4, 2025 These values and qualities have guided Saudis in their daily life through ages, solidifying their status as a model of pride and honor and driving the ambitious vision to build a successful future for the nation. Saudi Arabia's Core Values The Saudi National Day 95 visual identity features symbols that reflect the Kingdom's core values and authentic qualities, represented in 6 distinct illustrations. The traditional Saudi coffee pot (Dallah) represents Generosity, a core value in Saudi culture. Meanwhile, the open door is a symbol for the Exceptional Giving, an authentic Saudi trait. Authenticity is reflected through a deeply-rooted tree symbolizing a generation of Saudis who take pride in their history and draw inspiration from their ancestors' legacy. Another quality is the Faz'ah (showing up to others), which is symbolized through an illustration of crossed hands, inspired by the iconic gesture of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The illustrations also reflect Ambition through the Tuwaiq Mountain, drawing inspiration from the quote of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in which he compared the ambition of the Saudi people to the steadfastness of this mountain. Moreover, Saudi Vision is reflected through a radiating pattern inspired by the Vision 2030 logo, symbolizing clarity, progress, and transformation toward the future. National Day Celebrations Saudi National Day marks the birth of the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On September 23, 1932, King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud announced the unification of Najd and Hejaz into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. All parts of the modern Kingdom unified under the name of Saudi Arabia, with Riyadh as its capital, Arabic as its official language and Quran as its constitution. Each year, Saudis observe their National Day with celebrations and festivities, including fireworks, air shows, parades and concerts. They don their traditional attires, adorn the streets with Saudi flags, and light up the buildings in green. Short link : Post Views: 56
