Hidden secrets of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Harry Kane's mega-box to Daniel Levy's biggest regret

TOTTENHAM opened their incredible stadium in April 2019.
But many fans still don't know about several of the £1bn structure's remarkable features.

During the latest episode of The Overlap, brought to you by SkyBet, chairman Daniel Levy showed Gary Neville around Spurs' plush home.
Neville, 50, was left in awe several times by the ingenious stadium.
From a micro-brewery on site to links with Tottenham's famous past, no stone was left unturned as the Lilywhites built their new home.
Here, SunSport takes a look around arguably the Premier League's best stadium.
Kane's mega-box
During his conversation with Neville, Levy was keen to show off Tottenham's plush VIP lounges.
And where better to start than the one previously occupied by the club's all-time leading goalscorer prior to his £100million switch to Bayern Munich two years ago - complete with stunning kitchen, comfortable seats and an incredible view.
Levy said: "This used to be Harry Kane 's box."

"I just got them a couple of seats in the main stand, wow! Harry's got a bigger kitchen than I've got at home in his box.
"I've never been in one of these before and it's absolutely incredible."
Daniel Levy says he'll get the credit he deserves when he leaves Tottenham in rare interview
Levy's biggest regret
During Neville's tour of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the former Manchester United star realised just what a hands on approach Levy had taken in the project.
While standing in the 17,500-capacity South Stand, Neville couldn't help but cheekily ask if there was anything Levy would have liked to have done differently, with hindsight.
Levy, 63, beamed as he said: "There's a couple of pillars that I wish weren't there at the moment.
"Pillars when you drive in under the stadium, it's a bit tight."

Retractable pitch
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is not just used for football.
Since opening, the venue has also been used for NFL games, rugby matches and several concerts, including the likes of Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga.
Asked about how the surface "transforms" for different events, Levy revealed: "Underneath all the protective measures on the pitch is actually the NFL pitch.
"There's an artificial pitch there. Then above this would be the grass pitch, and when we're in concert mode or NFL mode, the grass pitch goes under the famous South Stand.
"It can stay there for up to 10-14 days. It has ventilation, irrigation, special mowers - so it's pretty unique piece of kit."

Hidden F1 track
In addition to the NFL, Tottenham have also partnered with Formula 1.
Located beneath the South Stand is an F1-branded go-karting track.
The nifty feature has become a popular attraction within London.
Levy said: "When the grass pitch is here, that's a Formula 1 track, for go-karting."

Amazing art gallery
Tottenham boast the largest club shop in Europe, standing at 23,000 square feet.
Within it is a 400-year-old listed building, which the club have restored and turned into an art gallery.
Showing Neville around, Levy said: "There's a very old building called Warmington House. It's about 400 years old. Yep [it's listed].
"We had to keep it, we restored it... and it's now an art gallery. It's a beautiful building that we've completely restored."
Neville was left in awe of the structure, replying: "It's brilliant. I love the integration of the old brick with the modern glass look."

Pieces of history
At the very start of Neville's tour, Levy proudly showed off a link with Tottenham's past.
The Spurs chairman said: "Do you know about this floor? This is the old stadium."
As Neville said "Oh wow," Levy continued: "All crushed. We wanted to have a link with the old, White Hart Lane and the history.
"It's literally crushed concrete and smoothed afterwards."
Within the South Stand concourse, there is also a plaque on the floor, marking where the centre spot within the old White Hart Lane used to be.

Borussia Dortmund-inspired stand
The 17,500-capacity South Stand is Tottenham Hotspur Stadium's most obvious landmark.
Levy takes great pride in the uniqueness of Tottenham's home - but does give credit to another club for the brilliant single-tiered stand.
On inspiration for the new stadium, Levy said: "I wouldn't say there was one stadium that we said 'we need it to be like this'.
"I think Dortmund in terms of our South Stand, the Yellow Wall. That's where we got the South Stand idea from."

Incredible dressing room
In contract to White Hart Lane's more old school dressing rooms, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium features huge, plush modern changing areas.
In awe, Neville said: "Dressing rooms never cease to amaze me now, how good they are.
"Wow. I remember the old White Hart Lane changing rooms."
When Levy said the new dressing rooms were a "bit different" from the old, Neville laughed as he said: "Just a bit!"
The inner bowels of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium also feature huge NFL dressing rooms.
Much bigger than the football changing areas, due to the size of NFL rosters, the larger dressing rooms came in handy during Covid, giving players an opportunity to social distance on matchday.

Beer brewed on site
Tottenham partnered with Molson Coors last month, confirming that Coors, Madri, Rekorderlig and Cobra will be on the menu at home games next season, as well as Pravha.
Fans will still be able to get Beavertown products, brewed especially on site.
Showing Neville the micro-brewery, located between the South and East Stands, Levy explained: "We're very conscious with what we do with the local community.
"One of our ideas was to have a craft beer, so we teamed up with a company called Beavertown, which was a craft beer company that was based locally.
"We then said to them that we would like to brew our own beer in the stadium. So this is our brewery, in a joint-venture with Beavertown."
When Neville asked if Spurs had bought into Beavertown, Levy said: "We didn't buy into it... unfortunately"
At this point both men laughed as Levy rued the missed opportunity.
The Tottenham chief then added: "But we did a joint-venture, in terms of all the beer sold in the stadium."

Love Island star Yasmin Pettet is left heartbroken as she reveals her beloved cat Miaow Miaow has died following cancer battle

Love Island finalist Yasmin Pettet has revealed her beloved cat Miaow Miaow has sadly died from cancer. The reality star, 24, often spoke lovingly about her pet during her time in the villa, but heartbreakingly, Miaow Miaow passed away from cancer at the age of 11 while Yasmin was still filming the show. Announcing the news on Instagram on Wednesday evening, Yasmin wrote: 'As I've spoken about her on the show I'm sure a lot of you will know I have a cat called miaow miaow who's been by my side for 11 years now. She continued: 'When I was filming Love Island I had a bad gut feeling something was off and when my mum and sister came into the villa I asked them and still felt like something was off. 'Rightfully they didn't tell me because I was still in the villa but after the final I called my sister and she told me that miaow miaow had cancer and died whilst I was away filming Love Island. 'I'm trying to be as active as I can be on socials but am taking time for myself to process this heartbreak. She concluded the heartbreaking post: 'RIP to my beautiful baby girl, you were so loved and will always be in my soul.' Yasmin, who came in third place with her partner Jamie Rhodes, 26, returned to social media earlier today to thank fans for their support throughout her journey. She said: 'My love island journey has been crazy to say the least but I really wouldn't have been able to do it without my Jamie, Toni and Shakira. 'I feel so grateful and blessed and can't wait to see what the future holds.' Jamie, who affectionately describes Yasmin as having 'black cat energy', praised her now that they're back home, writing: 'Absolutely smashed it, wouldn't want to do the journey with anyone else.' It comes after ITV released the voting breakdown for the final, confirming it was the closest result in the show's history. In total, Toni and Cach received 33.5% of the vote, with Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley taking 26.2% - showing the result was a close call. Yasmin and Jamie came third with 22% and Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood placed fourth with 18.3%. Toni and Cach won despite the bookies' odds revealing it was Harry and Shakira in the running to win, just hours ahead of the live final. And fans seemed delighted with the decision as they took to Twitter to wish the couple congratulations. They penned: 'Justice served well done Toni & Cach .. what a gentleman man he is'; 'Congratulations Toni and cach. First American and she won. Iconic moves'; 'a bombshell + a casa boy winning love island - iconic!'; 'Love island didn't disappoint with Cach & Toni winning'; 'Toni was her true authentic self'; 'Amazing winners - hats off to the producers for an elite season of #loveisland'. But it looks like Toni and Cach may be spending even more time together in front of the camera, as ITV are reportedly planning to offer the couple a spin-off show chronicling their long-distance relationship, according to The Sun.

Kelsey Parker reveals she is taking 'each day as it comes' as she speaks out on losing her third child

Kelsey Parker has revealed she is taking 'each day as it comes' as she opens up for the first time about the loss of her baby Phoenix. The podcaster, 34, suffered heartbreak in June after her son Phoenix - her first child with boyfriend Will Lindsay - was 'born sleeping.' Kelsey was previously married to The Wanted singer Tom Parker who died in March 2022 aged 33 from glioblastoma. In her first interview since the tragedy, Kelsey told The Mirror: 'I didn't think I'd be living a relived experience, first losing Tom and now losing Phoenix. But I think with any grief and loss, you have to take each day as it come and work through it.' Kelsey is mother to Aurelia, six, and Bodhi, four, with her late husband Tom and revealed she has discussed Phoenix's death with them. 'I spoke about it like I did with Tom, I just told them the truth,' she said. 'I think that's all you can do with your children, in anything you're going through, be honest.' Kelsey believes because the children had gone through losing their father, it made accepting Phoenix's death easier. 'We're sort of almost like the Addams Family because we've gone though so much death and darkness. The children are very aware,' she said. Kelsey credited Tom's parents Noreen and Nige for being their for her as she copes with the loss of Phoenix. The influencer said she is still very close with Noreen and she gave Kelsey her blessing when she told her she was pregnant with Phoenix. Kelsey threw herself into routine to cope with her grief and made sure to always be at the school gate to pick up Aurelia and Bodhi to show them 'you have to be brave and show up'. Kelsey confirmed the loss of her unborn third child, a son she had planned to name Phoenix, one week before his planned due date. Breaking the news in a poem, she announced the news on Instagram in June. She penned: 'The world grew quiet as you arrived, So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious boy, our angel light, Born with wings, took silent flight'. 'We named you Phoenix, brave and bright. A soul of love, of warmth and light Though we never heard you cry, You'll live in hearts that won't ask why. 'No breath you drew, no eyes to see, Still, you mean everything to me. You'll journey with us, softly near, in every sigh, in every tear. Taking to her Instagram stories: she added: 'Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heartfelt wishes, I wanted to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share. 'But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news. 'I love you all and thank you for your understanding and space. Love always, Kelsey, Will, and the Parker Family'. Kelsey met tree surgeon Will on a night out last year, with the couple announcing their relationship in September. On Sunday, Kelsey shared a video of herself on the beach during the trip alongside a heartbreaking letter to Phoenix. The podcast host penned: 'A Letter to My Angel. It's hard to find the words. 'There is no preparing for this kind of heartbreak. I had dreams for you, your first giggle, your first steps, the way you would cling to me when the world felt too big.' Kelsey penned: 'There is no preparing for this kind of heartbreak. I had dreams for you, your first giggle, your first steps, the way you would cling to me when the world felt too big' Kelsey continued: 'All those moments I imagined are now part of a different kind of story — one I never thought I'd have to write to you. 'But this isn't just about pain, it is about the quiet but powerful love you brought into this world. 'About how you changed me — made me softer, more grounded, and somehow even more grateful. 'Grief and gratitude can exist together. I grieve what was lost, but I am so thankful I had the chance to carry you for 9 months and love you unconditionally, I told you every day I loved you. 'You will always be mine. My son. My light. My why. 'I share this not because I have answers, but because silence can be lonely. 'And if you are walking through a similar kind of grief, please know you're not alone. There's a quiet sisterhood in this heartbreak, and I feel you deeply. 'For now, I'm learning to live with the ache, to breathe through the waves, and to find little pockets of peace in the middle of the storm. 'And I know that even though I can't hold you in my arms, I carry you in my heart, always.'

From White Lotus to a very white Christmas! Aimee Lou Wood lands lucrative festive advert for supermarket giant Marks & Spencer

It's the festive war that has become fiercer each year, with retail giants determined to make the best Christmas adverts no matter what the cost. And this year, the Daily Mail can reveal, Marks & Spencer is looking to win the quintessentially British battle by signing White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood as the star of its campaign, in what is described as a 'very lucrative deal' for her. The Stockport-born actress – who first found fame in Netflix 's Sex Education before playing ditzy Chelsea in the third series of the Sky Atlantic drama this year – has signed a contract to lead the advert which will be broadcast from November. M&S bosses are said to be thrilled with securing Wood, 31, a coup which insiders say 'can't possibly be matched' by any of their rivals including John Lewis and Lidl. Filming will begin later this month in what is anticipated to be one of their most memorable campaigns to date. One source told the Mail: 'Aimee is a British success story, she started at the bottom and she has grafted to become a very famous young woman following White Lotus. 'She was one of the most talked about women in the world at the end of 2024 so became a target for Marks & Spencer. 'She's just so utterly charming and so very relatable, she's a superstar but she's down to earth with it. Marks have definitely set the bar for this year's Christmas ad battle, the others will be seething when they see that they have her. 'It hasn't come cheap but the view at Marks & Spencer is that it is well worth it. They wouldn't be able to buy that kind of publicity.' Wood became embroiled in a fascinating saga over whether she had fallen out with her White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins, which gripped the show's millions of viewers across the world. Rumours of a feud between her and Goggins – who portrayed her older love interest Rick – began after fans noticed that he had unfollowed her on Instagram. But following weeks of speculation, Goggins finally said of the claims: 'There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me. 'This is Goldie Hawn. This is Meg Ryan. She can do anything, and she will.' This year's advert is certainly set to be glitzier than 2024, when comic Dawn French reprised her role as the M&S Christmas fairy, but also appeared on screen as herself. The six-part ad series showed French and her fairy alter ego working together to prepare for a Christmas party. In 2023, M&S signed Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and British actress Zawe Ashton while in the past the likes of Holly Willoughby and model David Gandy have also appeared. Wood's signing, thought to be as high as seven figures, comes after M&S reported sparkling full-year results for the year to March. Its profits before tax and 'adjusting items' stood at a whopping £875.5 million compared to £716.4 million in 2023/24, which the retailer said was its highest figure in more than 15 years.
