
Tech snags delay 2 flights to Northeast from Kolkata

Kolkata: Two IndiGo flights from Kolkata to Northeast were delayed following technical snags on Thursday. IndiGo flight 6E 487, carrying 155 passengers, from Kolkata to Silchar returned to the ramp on Thursday morning following a technical snag in the Airbus A320 aircraft.
The aircraft pushed back from stand 48 at 6.44 am, ahead of its scheduled departure at 6.55 am. However, while taxiing, the crew reported a snag and returned to stand 48 at 7.17 am.
The passengers were returned to the terminal and were put into a separate aircraft, which flew out of Kolkata at 9.38 am. It landed in Silchar at 10.27 am.
Another IndiGo flight, 6E 6068, headed to Agartala from Kolkata, suffered a technical glitch and had to return from the runway on Thursday morning. The flight was about to take off at 9.45am and was approaching the runway from the taxi bay when the glitch was spotted, and the pilot informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC). The plane was turned back to the bay. The aircraft departed for Agartala after around 40 minutes and reached Agartala at 11.20 am.

Delhi-Leh flight returns to IGI 2 hours after take-off due to technical issues
A Leh-bound IndiGo flight returned to Delhi on Thursday two hours after take-off and made an emergency landing after developing a technical snag mid-air, officials said. The flight landed at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport safely and passengers were provided an alternative aircraft, which departed at 10.30am, officials said. Airport officials said the IndiGo flight 6E2006 with 140 passengers took off from the Delhi airport at 6.30 am. The flight made a turnaround at 7.30 am, landing back safely at the Delhi airport at 8.30am after seeking priority landing. IndiGo, in a statement, said its flight had a technical issue which caused operational restrictions to land in Leh. 'According to procedures, the pilot returned to Delhi. The aircraft is undergoing necessary maintenance before resuming operations. In the meantime, an alternative aircraft has been arranged to fly the customers to Leh,' said the statement. 'We regret the inconvenience caused to the customers and remain committed to the safety and security of our customers and crew.' it added. An airport official confirmed the incident, stating there was a technical problem in one of the engines of the aircraft. 'The flight landed safely at the airport at around 8.30 am, with passengers and crew also disembarking safely. A second flight left the airport at around 10.36 am,' the official said. Days earlier, on Sunday, an Air India flight from Delhi to Vadodara had to return back to the capital around 30 minutes after taking-off due to a technical snag. While the flight had departed at 6.50 pm, it landed safely back in Delhi by 7.20 pm, with the crew and passengers disembarking safely for precautionary checks to be carried out.

Air India's Delhi To Vietnam Flight Returns Mid-Way After Technical Snag
Mumbai: Air India on Thursday said its flight AI388 from Delhi to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on June 19 returned to the national capital mid-way as a "precautionary measure". The flight landed safely back in Delhi and all passengers have been disembarked, the airline said in a statement. The aircraft made a mid-air turn after it developed a technical snag, a source said, adding that there were over 130 passengers onboard, a source said. According to live flight tracking website the Airbus A320 neo aircraft took off for Ho Chi Minh City at 1.45 pm, 45 minutes behind its scheduled departure time. An alternative aircraft with fresh crew has been arranged to fly the passengers to Ho Chi Minh City flight and it is likely to depart for its destination shortly, Air India said without giving a specific departure time.
