IMD predicts hot and humid weather in Andhra Pradesh up to June 22

There will not be much rainfall activity in Andhra Pradesh until June 25 despite the formation of two low pressures simultaneously. 'What's more, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail at a few places in the State until June 22,' as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin on June 18. As per information from the Senior Scientist at IMD, Amaravati, S. Karunasagar, one low pressure system was forming in the Bay of Bengal and another in the Arabian sea. 'It will not help Andhra Pradesh much. We are not expecting much rainfall activity in the coming week,' he said. Mr. Karunasagar said the two low pressure systems would, however, help activate the southwest monsoon over the northern parts of the country. 'Usually, monsoon progresses over the north due to formation of such systems,' he said. When asked if June was turning out to be a drier month in the State, he said, 'It is early to say that.' The IMD would issue an official statement only at the end of the month. Meanwhile, according to the IMD bulletin, thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and strong winds, were likely at isolated places across North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. Lower tropospheric south westerly / westerly winds were prevailing over the State at present. The maximum temperature remained at 40 degree Celsius at many stations in the Rayalaseema and South Coastal A.P. regions. Kavali in Nellore district recorded 39.8 degree Celsius., followed by Vijaya Puram in Chittoor (39.76 degree Celsius) and Alimelumangapuram in Tirupati district (39.49 degree Celsius). Similar temperatures were seen at a few stations in the districts of NTR, Palnadu, Eluru, East Godavari, Prakasam, and Bapatla.

The race will be held at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (Ancol Beach street track), which witnessed a record-breaking audience last season. The Formula E drivers have reached Indonesia along with their all-new GEN3 Evo cars and may have to deal with a rainy race. Here's all about the timing, broadcasting details, and weather forecast for the Jakarta E-Prix. Jakarta E-Prix schedule The Jakarta E-Prix will start with the first free practice race, FP1, of 55 minutes on Friday, June 21 at 4 PM local time (2:30 PM IST). The Qualifying race will begin at 10:20 AM local time (8:50 AM IST) and will end by 11:43 AM. The final Jakarta Formula E race is scheduled on the same day at 3 PM local time (1:35 PM IST) and is expected to take around an hour to complete. Weather prediction The Formula E drivers will have to brace for a wet race once again. Light rain is very likely on Day 1 during the first free practice race on Friday, but the drivers can utilize it to practice on a wet track in order to prepare for the final race, which may also witness a shower. The temperature is expected to remain around 27 degrees Celsius on Friday. There are comparatively lower chances of rain on Saturday, but the intensity may be higher. The temperature will remain around 26–27 degrees Celsius despite the cloud cover.
