Four arrested following ‘dangerous incidents involving stolen vehicles' in Moncton area
RCMP officers responded to a report late Tuesday afternoon that two vehicles located in a Salisbury business parking lot may have been stolen.
'As police approached with their emergency equipment activated, both vehicles fled at a high rate of speed towards the Homestead Road. Shortly after, one of the vehicles was disabled on Route 126,' said Cpl. Marc Belliveau, in a news release from the New Brunswick RCMP.
Police say the driver, a 20-year-old Moncton man, and the passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Riverside-Albert, were arrested.
The second vehicle continued fleeing but was intercepted on Catamount Road in Indian Mountain, according to the RCMP.
The driver, a 17-year-old boy from Moncton, and the passenger, a 17-year-old girl from Moncton, were arrested.
The 16-year-old girl from Riverside-Albert was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The two Moncton teens and the 20-year-old man all appeared in Moncton provincial court Wednesday.
Nathaniel Beatty-Gratto, 20, was charged with:
possession of property obtained by crime
dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
flight from a peace officer
resisting a peace officer
failure to comply with a probation order
He was released from custody and is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 5.
The 17-year-old boy was charged with:
possession of property obtained by crime
dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
flight from police
possession of weapons contrary to order
failure to comply with conditions of a previous release order
He was released from custody and is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 6.
The 17-year-old girl was charged with:
possession of property obtained by crime
theft of a vehicle
resisting a peace officer
failure to comply with conditions of previous release orders
She was released from custody and will return to court on Aug. 1.
Police ask anyone who lives in, or happened to be in the area, and has security or dash camera footage from the time of the incident to call Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The investigation is ongoing.

One person seriously injured in stabbing near Dufferin and Bloor

Emergency services were called to a residential neighbourhood near Bloor Street West and Russett Avenue, west of Dufferin Street, around 4 p.m. Toronto paramedics say the victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police are searching for a suspect described as a Black male, six-feet tall, between 40 and 50 years old and was wearing black jacket, pants, a black baseball hat and glasses. He was last seen northbound on Dufferin Street. The circumstances that led to the stabbing are not immediately known.

OPP seeking suspects in Hawkesbury arson investigation
OPP are looking for two suspects in a reported arson at a pizzeria in Hawkesbury on Aug. 4, 2025. (OPP/handout) Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help locating suspects following a fire at a local pizzeria. Police say officers were called to a restaurant on James Street at around 11:30 p.m. Monday on reports of an arson. Smoke and flames were visible inside the restaurant when police arrived. Witnesses told police they saw two men start the fire and then walk away. It's believed two other men spotted in a white Chevrolet Malibu might also be involved. The suspected arsonists are described by police only as 'tall and thin.' They were wearing black sweaters at the time of the incident, and one had a medical-style mask on. 'We know this photo is dark and low rez, but it could spark someone's attention,' police said of a photo that was distributed on social media.
