Buses to replace trains on parts of Blue, Orange, Silver lines for Memorial Day
WASHINGTON () — On Memorial Day, travelers throughout the DMV using the Metro can anticipate delays, as some stations will be closed and buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said that on Monday, May 26, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Cheverly and the Eastern Market station on the Orange Line.
Free shuttle buses will also be available between Addison Road and Eastern Market on the Blue and Silver lines.
Road closures in DC for National Memorial Day Parade
Metro noted that Potomac Avenue, Stadium-Armory, Benning Road, Minnesota Avenue, Deanwood and Capitol Heights stations will be closed on the holiday as crews repair aerial structures over the Anacostia River.
Passengers can expect the following train schedules for the holiday:
Blue Line: Trains run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Franconia-Springfield to Federal Center SW. Passengers should transfer to Orange or Silver Line trains to continue heading east of Federal Center SW.
Orange Line: Trains will run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Vienna and Eastern Market.
Trains will run every 10 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Cheverly and New Carrollton.
Silver Line: Trains will run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Ashburn and Eastern Market.
Trains will run every 10 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m. between Addison Road and Downtown Largo.
Red Line: Normal Service
Yellow Line: Normal service
Green Line: Normal service
Metro will close at midnight, and normal weekday fares will be in effect on the holiday.

Months-long road closures beginning this week
(WKBN) — Multiple roads throughout Mercer and Columbiana counties will be closed starting Monday for some months-long construction projects. In Springfield Township, Blacktown Road will be closed between State Route 258 and Lee Road beginning Monday to fix the bridge over Interstate 79. The $1.4 million project will repair the concrete deck, add a new surface and pave both sides of the road. Crews will also fix the beams, piers and supports of the bridge. Detours will be posted on site. About 550 vehicles use the bridge every day. The project is expected to be finished by October. In Wilmington Township and New Wilmington Borough, work will begin Monday to improve State Route 158. Traffic will be limited to one lane on State Route 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until mid-November. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. The project costs $3.87 million and includes fixing the road, improving drainage, repairing structures, fixing the base, updating guard rails and painting road markings. In Columbiana County, State Route 39 will close Monday for the last phase of a big road repair project. The road will be closed from Steubenville Pike Road to Clarks Mill Road for 60 days. The project will fix almost five miles of S.R. 39 from Salineville to Steubenville Pike Road in Highlandtown. Kings Island fest: International wine & music take center stage

Preston County road closure to last a month
AURORA, (WBOY) — Preston County commuters should prepare for delays this June as a road closure is expected to last for a month. According to a press release from the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), County Route 82, Songbird Hill Road, will be closed beginning June 2 from milepost 1.08 north of Songbird Hill Road/County Route 80, Lantz Ridge Road intersection. 3 hospitalized in Preston County wreck on US 50 The closure is to allow crews to 'excavate the roadway to expose and remediate the existing gas line' the release said.
