GAS likely to deliver positive H2 2025 results: CEO
Gas Arabian Services Co. (GAS) will likely maintain its positive performance during the second half of 2025, Vice-Chairman and CEO Faisal Al Dabal told Argaam. The company's order book and project pipeline are forecast to expand, he added. The value of supply orders and the ongoing project contracts reached approximately SAR 2.22 billion by the end of H1 2025, up from SAR 1.66 billion at the beginning of the year, a strong indicator of the company's positive future performance, Al Dabal noted. The 54% year-on-year (YoY) growth in H1 2025 profit was primarily spurred by a 33% revenue growth, along with an increase in the gross profit margin from 16% to 18%. Al Dabal stated that GAS's strong bottom line was supported by its robust operating performance. The technical services segment reported a SAR 159 million increase in sales, followed by the manufacturing business division (SAR 8 million). The CEO cited a change in the relative contribution of each segment to total revenue. The share of technical services rose from 42% to 56%, while the manufacturing segment's share increased from 2% to 3%. However, the commercial segment's share declined from 56% to 41%. Sharing details on the company's transition to the Main Market (TASI), Al Dabal said that talks are ongoing with the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) through a financial advisor.

Israel's Leviathan signs $35 billion natural gas supply deal with Egypt
Israel's Leviathan natural gas field has signed a deal worth up to $35 billion to supply gas to Egypt, the largest export deal in Israel's history, NewMed, one of the partners in the field, said on Thursday. Leviathan, off Israel's Mediterranean coast with reserves of some 600 billion cubic meters, will sell about 130 bcm of gas to Egypt through 2040 or until all of the contract quantities are fulfilled. The Leviathan reservoir began supplying Egypt shortly after production began in 2020. It signed an initial deal in 2019 for 60 bcm, which is expected to be fully supplied by the early 2030s. Leviathan has already supplied 23.5 bcm of gas to Egypt since 2020, NewMed said.

Pakistan seeks to expand trade with Oman in IT, energy, health sectors
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed Pakistan's interest in expanding trade with Oman in the information technology, construction, health care, food security and energy sectors, state media reported on Wednesday. Pakistan is actively working to deepen economic ties with Gulf nations and attract foreign investment across key sectors. With Oman positioned as a key regional player, the emphasis on expanding trade signals Islamabad's intent to access new markets and build long-term economic collaboration. Oman's Ambassador to Pakistan, Fahad Sulaiman Khalaf Al Kharusi, met with Zardari to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). 'Pakistan is keen to increase bilateral trade and investment in areas such as information technology, construction, health care, food security and energy,' APP quoted Zardari as saying. 'He stressed that government-to-government engagement would encourage robust private-sector collaboration, thereby boosting trade and investment between the two nations.' Zardari also urged Al Kharusi to enhance interaction at the leadership level to further strengthen the cordial ties between Pakistan and Oman, it added. Foreign countries have been taking a strong interest across key sectors of Pakistan, with millions pledged for its growing IT industry and some energy investments mainly in renewables. Pakistan is also engaging Gulf investors through platforms such as Arab Health 2025 to boost medical tourism and innovation. In recent months, the country has witnessed a surge in high-level visits, investment discussions and economic engagement with Gulf and Middle Eastern nations. Last August, Islamabad invited Oman to invest in Pakistan's agriculture and mineral sectors through a Pakistani hybrid civil-military body aimed at attracting foreign investment.
