EXCLUSIVE Smirking cartel suspect, 30, arrested with her father in $4.5M fentanyl sting after flying in from California to seal deadly deal in Florida

Daily Mail25-06-2025
Smirking in defiance, a woman 'member' of Mexico 's fearsome Jalisco cartel poses for her mugshot after being seized in swoops in Florida that have netted 64lbs of fentanyl.
Suspected drug courier Alejandrina Diaz, 30, was arrested with seven other members of both the Jalisco and Sinaloa cartels who allegedly trafficked the killer drug into the US and across the country.
All eight were seized in Florida's Polk County, Georgia and Arizona after six complex undercover sting operations in which detectives learned of shipments from unwitting members and played along before setting their traps.
Three other women 'cartel members' were among those arrested in the dramatic $4.5million busts, announced Tuesday by Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
'Our detectives and our agents from the federal, the state and the local level potentially saved the lives of 14.5million people,' he said at his office in Winter Haven.
'We will continue to go after these criminals to reduced the flow of these deadly drugs into the United States and Florida.
'They came across the border in Mexico and ultimately to us.'
The war on fentanyl has been a central plank of President Trump's issues with Mexico along with immigration at the southern border – and his calculations for tariffs.
A total of 160,000 fentanyl pills and 13 kilograms (26.8lbs) of the powered form of the drug were seized.
Investigations resulting in the Sinaloa bust began in July, 2024 when the sheriff's office's High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force discovered counterfeit fentanyl pills disguised as blue Oxycodone in its area.
These had been trafficked from the Mexican state of Sonora, which borders Arizona, through to Phoenix and then on to Florida.
A plan was set and detectives were able to coordinate pill shipments to be sent to Polk County, the sheriff's office has revealed, without giving further details.
The supplier sent six loads of fentanyl pills – approximately 17 pounds – up to January, 2025. These were all seized.
Four months later undercover detectives met Regina Headspeth, 43, in a hotel parking lot in Lakeland, Florida. She allegedly sold them nine pounds of fentanyl pills for a part-payment of $55,000.
She was later pulled over in a traffic stop in Phoenix by Homeland Security Investigations officers and the money recovered. Headspeth was arrested on June 19.
In a separate Sinaloa sting on June 13, detectives arranged for Adrian Francisco Munguia, 24, to travel from Sonora to Florida to complete a fentanyl sale.
Munguia had already come on the sheriff's office radar for allegedly flying from Arizona to Florida to collect the outstanding payment on the Headspeth deal.
This time he allegedly took nine pounds of the killer drug from Daytona Beach to Polk County, where he was arrested by a joint team of sheriff's detectives, Homeland Security investigators, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and US Customs and Border Protection special agents.
The sting operations against six alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation cartel began earlier this year.
Some of the drug was being transported in fake car batteries to avoid detection.
Investigations began after a narcotics dealer in the Mexican state of Michoacan told undercover cops about a stash house in Atlanta, Georgia, which was a hopping off point for drugs swamping the county.
In April this year, Adalberto Diaz, 51, flew from California to Tampa, Florida, and allegedly arranged to drive to Jonesboro, Georgia, to fetch one kilogram of fentanyl for undercover Polk County detectives.
Diaz told cops to contact him if they wanted him to transport of deliver any more drugs, the sheriff's office said. He then flew back to California.
The following week the same Mexican drug dealer contacted Polk County about an 11lb shipment hidden in a car battery and heading to Jonesboro.
Homeland Security Investigations special agents later saw a battery being exchanged and handed to Gerardo Valencia Cervantes.
He was arrested in a traffic stop and the drugs allegedly found. Two more kilograms of fentanyl were later seized from him.
In May, the same supplier offered to have 11lbs of fentanyl transported from Ciudad Juarez, the Mexican town directly opposite El Paso, Texas, to Polk County.
He arranged for it to be delivered by a courier and the payment to be collected by a different person.
Gloria Trujillo Duque, 44, is accused of turning up to facilitate the sale and collect the money.
Once she had payment, she allegedly contacted 46-year-old Miguel Estrada to take the fentanyl to a hotel.
Once there, Estrada is said to have brought the drugs inside a car battery, helped by his cousin, Maria Del Consuelo Alvarado Martinez, 40. All three were seized.
Days before, undercover cops had re-established contact with Adalberto Diaz.
They arranged for him to take approximately 4.4lbs of the 11lbs haul to south Florida for $5,000, the sheriff's office said.
His daughter Alejandrina allegedly flew in from California as part of the transaction. The pair were met by Polk County detectives and immediately arrested.
'Sinaloa' accused Manugui is charged with trafficking fentanyl, having drug, paraphernalia, conspiracy to traffic the drug and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Headspeth is accused of fentanyl trafficking and maintaining a vehicle to traffic drugs.
'Jalisco' accused Duque, Alvarado Martinez, Estrada, Alejandrina Diaz and Valencia Cervantes are charged with trafficking fentanyl.

Theme park racist loses his job for shouting anti-Hispanic slur in line at Knott's Berry Farm

A theme park patron was fired from his job after he was caught shouting a racist, anti-Hispanic slur during an argument at Knott's Berry Farm. While waiting in line for a ride at the iconic Buena Park, California amusement park on July 12, the man hurled the remark at another visitor during a heated exchange. 'F*****g wetback,' he was heard screaming in a damning clip that has gained significant traction on social media. The derogatory term refers to Mexican immigrants who enter the US by swimming across the Rio Grande. It is unclear what sparked the verbal altercation. The man's identity could not be independently verified. Another video also captured at Knott's allegedly showed the same man getting into a physical fight later in the day, the Orange County Register reported. After he put his hands on someone, security guards kicked him out of the theme park. It is not clear if police got involved or if the man faces any charges. Once the situation blew up, news of his offensive outburst made its way to his employer, the Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) in Perris. His employer ultimately decided his behavior was unacceptable and booted him from his position. 'EMWD is committed to guiding principles that include respect, integrity, accountability, and maintaining a safe environment for all employees, customers, and the communities we serve,' the company wrote to the Orange County Register. 'We remain dedicated to our mission, vision, and guiding principles to provide safe, reliable services to our customers and ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect.' The Daily Mail has reached out to Knott's Berry Farm and the EMWD for comment and confirmation of the man's identity. The Daily Mail also contacted Buena Park Police to inquire about potential charges. Apparently, the ex-water service worker was not the only person launching racially-motivated attacks at Knott's on July 12. Another woman was filmed as she threatened to call ICE on a park employee and made several other racist comments. Security guards quickly stepped in and the woman was banned from Knott's for life, according to the Orange County Register. 'Providing a safe, respectful, and family-friendly atmosphere is the type of experience our guests expect and deserve and is a responsibility that the park takes very seriously,' Knott's wrote in a statement to the outlet. 'We have zero tolerance for any type of inappropriate behavior.' Knott's Berry Farm is a popular amusement park run by Six Flags. It offers families 160 acres of rollercoasters, shows and other attractions inspired by Golden State history.

EXCLUSIVE PICTURED: Delta co-pilot arrested by feds for disgusting child sex crimes as plane landed in San Francisco

The Delta Airlines co-pilot arrested moments after his plane landed at San Francisco Airport on suspicion of appalling child sex crimes has been named and pictured. Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, was cuffed and arrested by Contra County detectives around 9.35pm after his flight, Delta 2809, from Minneapolis touched down at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday. It can now be revealed Bhagwagar, of Florida, was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on five counts of oral copulation with a child under the age of 10. Bhagwagar, who was seen donning his pilot uniform in his stone-faced mugshot, is being held in jail in lieu of a $5 million bail, according to jail records viewed by Daily Mail. In viral video footage, plain clothed Homeland Security investigators were seen swarming the aircraft before nabbing Bhagwagar. They were assisting the Contra County Sheriff's Department after receiving a tip about alleged sex crimes against a child, a spokesperson with the Department of Homeland Security told Daily Mail. A Ramey arrest warrant, which is issued by a judge before criminal charges are filed, was then served to the suspect. Federal Aviation records viewed by Daily Mail reveal Bhagwagar was licensed to fly a Boeing 757-300 – the same type of plane used for the Delta 2809 flight on Saturday evening. Confirming his arrest and releasing his mugshot, Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said in a statement to Daily Mail: 'Detectives from the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff Investigation Division have been conducting an investigation since April 2025 after receiving a report of sex crimes against a child. The agents were seen wearing law enforcement badges around their necks and their faces cropped out of the footage shared online 'Through the investigation, it was learned that the suspect was an airline pilot and that he was due to fly into San Francisco International Airport on the evening of Saturday, July 26, 2025.' Dramatic video captured the moment the disgraced pilot got arrested as federal authorities stormed the aircraft shortly after it landed in California. The agents were seen wearing law enforcement badges around their necks and their faces cropped out of the footage shared online. After the first set of agents slapped handcuffs on Bhagwager, a second team of agents returned to the plane to collect the unidentified co-pilot's personal belongings. The arrest appeared to shock the other employees on the flight, including the remaining pilot. That pilot, who has not been identified, 'had no idea what just happened,' View from the Wing reported. Passengers were also left in awe, as one recalled asking a member of the flight crew what was happening. 'I looked at him and said "What's going on?" He said, "I have no idea,"' the passenger told Fox 9. 'And he genuinely looked like this was a surprise, that all of a sudden there was people on the plane, because he had us stand up, we were starting to take our stuff out for arrival and everybody was already in the overhead bin.' Another passenger told the San Francisco Chronicle exactly what they saw while sitting in first class. 'A group of people with badges, guns and different agency vests/markings were pushing their way through the aisle to the cockpit,' they told the outlet.

Police storm plane full of passengers and arrest pilot for child abuse images

Delta airline passengers were left stunned when a pilot was arrested moments after landing - a viral video shows the moment he was escorted off the plane by police Delta co-pilot hauled off plane and arrested for alleged child sexual abuse material This is the moment police stormed a plane full of passengers and arrested a pilot over alleged child abuse images. Passengers were stunned when federal agents stormed the Delta plane's cockpit just moments after it landed in San Francisco, California. The pilot was then arrested over alleged possession of child sex abuse images and later charged by several agencies, including Homeland Security and the Contra Cosa Sheriff's Office. The arrest happened on Delta Flight 2809 at about 9:35pm local time on Saturday. The flight left Minneapolis earlier that day and had its landing delayed due to heavy fog around the airport. Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin said the pilot was arrested on charges over child sex abuse materials. First class passenger Sarah Christianson told The San Francisco Chronicle: "A group of people with badges, guns, and different agency vests/markings were pushing their way up through the aisle to the cockpit." She told the outlet that officers "stormed the cockpit, cuffed the co-pilot, arrested him, walked him down the aisle, and ushered him off the plane through the cabin doors located between first and coach." Ms Christianson said passengers were shocked and said the incident was "unnerving." In another interview, Christianson said she was reduced to tears following the ordeal. She added: "It was scary. It was traumatic to watch. As soon as my husband picked me up from baggage claim, I jumped in the car and cried. Because who knows what's happening to that poor person? Why that happened? What did we just see?" When the pilot was led away, officers remained on the plane to collect his belongings. He has not been identified. The Mirror has contacted the Contra Cosa Sheriff's Office for comment. A video showing the moment of the arrest was uploaded to X/Twitter and has been viewed hundreds of millions of times. A JetBlue pilot was arrested on board the plane earlier this year in a separate incident. Jeremy Gudorf, 33, had been due to fly the plane when a routine check of people onboard led to his detention. The warrant for his arrest came from North Carolina and Massachusetts State Police responded to a request to detain Gudorf from US Customs and Border Protection. US State Police have confirmed the arrest took place in February earlier this year.
