‘She Cried, Came With No Gift': Bride Calls Mother-In-Law A Wedding Nightmare
Last Updated: A bride detailed how her mother-in-law reacted to her wedding, from refusing to send a card to wearing an identical outfit to the wedding dress. A wedding can be one of the most beautiful and exciting times in a person's life. Unfortunately, the day proved to be an extremely stressful one for the bride, all because of her mother-in-law. The woman detailed her frustration on Reddit under the r/weddingshaming subreddit, talking about the negative comments she had to face. The post garnered a lot of attention, with many users detailing similar experiences about 'nightmare" mothers-in-law. The bride wrote, 'She cried LOUDLY the night before our destination wedding about how disappointed she was that her son chose me 'out of all his options.' Then proceeded to not sign the guest book or gift us anything, even a card." She also shared a photo from her wedding. In the image, the bride and groom can be seen posing, with their faces blurred. The groom's mother is standing next to her son, holding his arm. Surprisingly, she wore an outfit that was identical to the bride's wedding gown. How Did Reddit Users React? Many people came out in support of the bride and also shared their own experiences. An account wrote, 'My grandma was wandering around my parents' wedding telling everyone that 'today is worse than the day the barn burned down". 'This happened to my BFF. It was a small wedding, too. They were not tears of joy. I remember her, in full traditional Korean hanbok, bright pink and blue, looking like the world was ending. All through dinner, she was wiping her tears with her napkin. Her entire family ignored it. I believe she kept the cash her relatives gave them, too," another commented. One person had an interesting observation. 'As I wrote earlier, the Venn diagram of moms who wear white to a wedding and are unnaturally attracted to their precious widdle boys is a circle." Many people slammed the groom's mother for wearing an outfit that was identical to the wedding gown. 'It just doesn't get tackier than that!" a comment read. Bride Gives Update In the comments section, the woman talked about how her marriage has been going. She explained that her husband had scolded his mother after the wedding five years ago. Since then, her mother-in-law has been 'nothing but cordial ever since." The account did not remember if the topic of the identical outfit at the wedding was also part of her husband's discussion with his mother, but she did admit that the duo had a lot of issues to iron out. The discussion on the subreddit highlighted how family dynamics were complex, and for many brides, their mother-in-law can be a source of stress and frustration on the wedding day itself. BTS' RM relaxes in Disneyland with HYBE staff, shares quote about ‘rewriting the narrative' amid working on new group album
BTS knows how to make the most of their time, maintaining a work-life balance like it's no one's business. Currently in the USA for working on their new album set for a release in early 2026, the boys have been spotted hanging out in Los Angeles, grabbing some Korean food at traditional spots in the city, going shopping, and now taking to an amusement park for a good time! According to onlookers on July 30, RM was spotted out and about in California, enjoying some rides at Disneyland with his agency's staff. Photos of RM walking at Disneyland were shared by fans online. According to the pictures, the singer was dressed in a denim shirt with butterfly motifs on them, over beige cargo pants and white sneakers. Covering his head with a navy cap, the star did not look bothered or attempt to disguise himself further. Taking his time to relax and away from probably music-heavy sessions in the studio, the BTS member is said to have enjoyed a ride on the rollercoaster. Another fan shared her experience of sitting in the same slot as the star, talking about how 'blessed' she felt. They crossed paths once again and it became a joyous moment for the BTS ARMY. Is RM planning to rewrite BTS' history? In other news, while the BTS leader did not post any photos from his Disneyland visit so far, he has taken to his Instagram to share a quote from a book he seems to be reading. Fans soon figured that it was a quote from Kim Young Ha's book One Life, who was RM's fellow cast member on the talk show Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge. Multiple paragraphs in the photo, the rapper had underlined the words talking about aptly changing your narrative to merge it with the ending. "Like a ferryboat without a boatman reaching the shore carried by the current, life drifts and arrives somewhere. The future was its destination. [What we all we is,] It's about rewriting the narrative of the past to align with the ending."
