Hayley Atwell reveals what it was really like working with 'magnetic' Mission Impossible co-star Tom Cruise after bizarre romance rumours
The co-stars, who have worked together on the last two Mission: Impossible films, were widely thought to have been romantically involved prior to her relationship with and subsequent engagement to music producer Ned Wolfgang Kelly.
The actress, 43, previously played down claims of a former romance with Cruise, admitting he was more like an 'uncle.'
Cruise, 62, is now thought to be dating actress Ana de Armas with the pair being pictured together at various times this year.
Speaking to HUNGER Magazine Hayley gushed about Tom saying he was a 'very magnetic movie star'.
Hayley added that he was 'hard working and dedicated' saying he is the real star behind the Mission Impossible franchise as a whole.
Speaking of his movie star quality she sweetly said: 'They don't make them like that anymore and they never will.'
She has previously denied a romance with Cruise.
'Why are things being assumed or projected onto me about my relationship with my work colleague and boss?' she told The Independent.
'It's involving people in my actual life, my personal life, who have to be on the receiving end of that. It becomes invasive.'
Hayley and Ned have kept their relationship away from the public eye and are rarely pictured together.
Also during the HUNGER interview she spoke about becoming a mum in 2024 and filming Mission Impossible as well as continuing her theatre work.
She said: 'I was juggling having physical changes in my body, having a child, while also doing a play live, and then going back to a franchise.
'And I think it shows that I have grown enormously as an individual.'
Back in May Cruise and Hayley attended the New York premiere of Mission: Impossible 8 - The Final Reckoning where they appeared close.
The long-term co-stars shared a moment together after joining cast and crew on the red carpet outside the city's Lincoln Center.
Hayley appeared to squeeze Cruise's shoulder as they leaned in for a private exchange during the latest in a series of red carpet premieres that began on May 14 in Cannes.
Cruise has been quietly linked in recent months to Cuban-Spanish beauty Ana, 37, with romance buzz first sparked just before Valentine's Day when the pair were spotted enjoying a private dinner.
Fuel was added to the fire in April when Ana was seen traveling with Cruise in his private helicopter, with exclusive DailyMail photos capturing the megastar grinning from ear to ear as he flew them into London.
And back in May, they stirred the pot even more, with Cruise publicly praised Ana's new film Ballerina, and she teased that the two are working on 'exciting' projects together.
He made the comment to reporters at the premiere of Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning in London.
'I saw the movie, it kicks a**,' Cruise said. 'Oh, man, it's right in that tone. It's right in that big world, and you're gonna love it.'
Also back in May Hayley revealed the unusual Christmas gift Cruise once gave her, while praising her Mission: Impossible 8 co-star's generosity.
Appearing on Heart Radio with Pandora Christie, Hayley opened up about their strong bond and her excitement for their film.
Giving a peek into her off-screen bond with the Hollywood star, she shared that he's great when it comes to gift-giving.
She said: 'He (Tom) did give my grandmother a lift in a helicopter on Christmas Eve at sunset a few years ago. And that was a great gift that he gave me.'
'Was that just a surprise? Did you know so had you planned it?' Pandora asked.
Hayley explained: 'I knew but she didn't. And I took her to this heliport where there's café beside it, she didn't know, and I said, ''oh look there's a helipad out there.'' And she went ''oh you wouldn't get me on a helicopter, oh no, it's very dangerous''.
'And we were just having a cup of tea and then all of a sudden Tom Cruise walks round the corner and goes ''hi.''
'And my grandma she was just amazing she goes ''hiya'' like she'd known him for years just 'hiya darling, you alright?' and gives him a big hug.
'And he goes ''are ready to go on a helicopter with me?'' and she just went ''yep!''
'She puts down the walking stick, marches into the helicopter, sits down in the back and takes it all in.
'He was so kind and gentle and explained everything that was happening, what every feeling or sensation was, with a description of every sort of technical aspect of it. It was beautiful and so peaceful.
'And to be in the helicopter with her over London and seeing the city from that view and just seeing the look on her face and knowing that was a huge gift for me, I think. And what it meant for her was just a testament to how generous he is as a man.'
'You've got a friend for life there, you really have,' Pandora said before Hayley simply added: 'Yeah.'

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes get huge reality check after Mexico family vacation with new NFL season looming
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes received a huge reality check Tuesday as they were spotted juggling their brood. The Kansas City Chiefs star has enjoyed an offseason of rest and relaxation, including a Fourth of July yacht party, as he attempted to brush of the heartbreak of February's Super Bowl defeat. The couple and their three children - Sterling Skye, three, and son Patrick 'Bronze' Lavon Mahomes III, two, and baby Golden Raye, six months - enjoyed some quality time together as the quarterback savored his final moments of freedom. The family appeared to have jetted off to Mexico to soak up their final rays of summer sun before Mahomes has to get back to business. However, the signal caller came crashing back to reality Tuesday as he and his family headed back to Missouri - and life on the grind. Mahomes, along with his teammates including Travis Kelce, is set to report for the Chiefs' preseason training next week on Tuesday July 22. The family appear set to return to Kansas City ahead of the Chiefs' preseason training And in preparation of his return to the field, the Mahomeses' family vacation came to an end as he and his wife were spotted traipsing their brood across the airport. Mahomes was captured carting multiple bags as he strolled across the tarmac towards what appeared to be a private jet. His eldest daughter, Sterling, trotted behind him with the doting dad turning around to check on her. Bronze was also seen tottering after his father as mom Brittany trailed close behind, keeping tabs on the energetic toddler. There was no sign of the Mahomeses' youngest bundle of joy, Golden, whom they welcomed in January, but Brittany was pictured carrying a bundle of blankets. The mother-of-three dressed for comfort in a white sports dress, sneakers and sunglasses. She simply piled her long blonde tresses up in messy updo, held together by a claw clip. The Mahomes family outing comes after the Chiefs sealed a huge move to boost the quarterback's chances next season. Kansas City reached an agreement with Trey Smith over a new four-year, $94million contract just hours before Tuesday's franchise-tag deadline . According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Smith's new deal, which includes $70m guaranteed, makes him the highest-paid guard in NFL history. The 26-year-old is also set to earn the highest-average annual salary and most guaranteed money ever handed to a guard, Schefter added. With both Smith and Creed Humphrey on the offensive line, Kansas City now has the highest-paid guard and center in the NFL after agreeing a record deal with the former. Humphrey signed a four-year extension of his own worth $72m with $50m guaranteed in August 2024, which remains the record for a center. The Chiefs used their franchise tag on Smith in February in order to maintain control of the coveted lineman for another season, albeit at the hefty salary of $23.4m. Had they failed to come to terms with him before Tuesday's 4pm EST deadline, he would have been able to become a free agent after the 2025 campaign or be tagged again at an even higher price in 2026. Instead, the Chiefs now have Smith locked through the 2028 season at an average annual salary of $23.5m.

Chick-fil-A is handing out free fries and nuggets for the next few weeks... here's what you have to do
Chick-fil-A fans can snag food free of charge through the chain's Code Moo digital game. The restaurant chain is giving its customers the chance to win free items through the game, which launched on July 15. Code Moo features three weeks of missions to win offerings like medium waffle fries, chocolate chunk cookies, and five-piece chicken nuggets. Fans who play the game can select one of three Chick-fil-A cow characters to try and break into the Circus Burger headquarters. If their character outruns the game's security guards, a free food reward will be added to their Chick-fil-A accounts, which they have one week redeem. Chick-fil-A's younger customers can also enjoy a four-minute digital short dubbed 'Udder Chaos' and listen to the all-new Cow Tales podcast on the chain's app. Fans interested in celebrating this cow-tastic event after the summer season can purchase an item from Chick-fil-A's new Cow Collection merchandise. The line includes cow-themed shirts, bags, towels, hats, and a pickle-ball set. With over 3,000 US locations, Chick-fil-A continues to be one of the fastest-growing fast-food chains, topping ASCIs list of favorite quick-service restaurants. Chick-fil-A brought back popular offerings and introduced new ones over the last few months. The chain's popular Peach Milkshake made its triumphant return in June for its 16th year in a row. A Peach Frosted Lemonade debuted on the same day, which Chick-fil-A said 'delivers a taste of summer with every sip.' The company is also advertising its limited-time Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages, which received high praise from customers when they dropped on its spring menu. While Chick-fil-A is considered one of the nation's unhealthiest fast food restaurants, it's been busy testing new sandwiches and nuggets at participating locations in Utah, Florida, and Missouri. The new items follow the chain's decision to dial back its 'No Antibiotics Ever' pledge while maintaining its 2026 cage-free egg goal. The company racked in over $22 billion in revenue last year, one of three to reach that milestone. This year's revenue is expected to be higher, and its expansion into the Asian Market in Singapore could help them do that. Chick-fil-A's new Cow Collection merchandise includes shirts, bags, towels, hats, and a pickle-ball set Chick-fil-A is one of three fast food chains to hit $20 billion in revenue last year McDonald's also reached the $20 billion revenue total in 2024 despite this year's first quarter sales drop. It was one of the first chains to challenge competitors this summer by extending its operating hours and heavily promoting the return of its beloved snack wrap. Wendy's and Burger King jumped in with limited-time offers for rewards members before McDonald's clapped back with its spicy breakfast sandwiches. The summer beverage battles have been just as lively after Starbucks brought back its Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers.

Kristen Bell's husband Dax Shepard posts NUDE photo of actress to celebrate her Emmy nomination
Dax Shepard had a unique way of celebrating wife Kristen Bell 's first-ever Emmy nomination. The 50-year-old actor-comedian engaged his 4.1 million Instagram followers on Tuesday as he shockingly shared a photo of Kristen, 44, doing yoga in the nude. Bell, who was nominated for her role in the hit Netflix series Nobody Wants This, appeared to be in their Los Feliz backyard as she posed in the downward dog position with her left leg lifted. The mother-of-two, who married Dax in 2013, was wearing nothing but knee-high blue socks. Shepard joked in the caption: 'People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen's. This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!' The raunchy post has so far collected over 113,000 likes, with famous friends joining the comments section. Nina Dobrev quipped, 'Hahahaha yesssss go girl! suns out buns out for that Emmy!!!' while Gwyneth Paltrow commented, 'Oh my God, Dax.' Bell is nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and the show will face off against Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, The Studio and What We Do in the Shadows for Best Comedy Series. Her co-star Adam Brody, who plays her love interest in the series, was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Bell — who also executive produced the series — plays Joanne, an irreverent woman who falls for a charming rabbi named Noah (Brody). A logline for the show reads: 'He's stuck in his ways and used to playing things safe. He starts to stumble when he meets a brutally honest and provocative Joanne, totally upending his safe life plan.' Nobody Wants This marks Bell's second Netflix series after producing and starring in the eight-episode limited series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window in 2022. Justine Lupe plays Joanne's sister Morgan in the television show. The semi-autobiographical project was created and written by Erin Foster, 42, who shared a first-look snippet with her Instagram followers in August 2024. Foster, who is married to Simon Tikhman, told Tudum last year, 'This show really represents how I view love now, which is so different than how I viewed it before. 'Being in a really beautiful, healthy, fun relationship, it made me soften some of my cynicism.' Kristen used her Instagram platform to share a photo of her and Erin's real-time reactions to their Emmy recognition. The women displayed dropped jaws as they joined each other virtually via a video chat. Last October the show was renewed by Netflix for a second season, just weeks after it premiered on the streamer to much fanfare.
