British glamour girl Katie Price was seen clashing with boyfriend JJ Slater as the pair appeared in a new post-surgery advertisement, as he struggled to speak with his new 'Turkey Teeth.' The former glamour model, 47, and her MAFS UK star boyfriend JJ, 32, shared a video plugging veneers. The couple recently flew out to Turkey to undergo a series of treatments, which saw Katie have more surgery on her face. It's now been revealed that while they were there, JJ had new veneers fitted. When he joined MAFS in 2023, he already had a set of Turkey teeth, so-named because patients often have the procedure done in Turkey where costs are cheaper. But now he's had another pair fitted, which appear to have impaired his speech. In a video to plug a Turkish cosmetic dental practice, JJ's voice appeared to have lisp from his new teeth. It was noticeable when the pair clashed in the short clip. When JJ tried to praise the practice for his own new teeth, Katie snapped: 'Well you don't have to go over the top!' It came as Katie revealed her new face and admitted she could not smile after going under the knife in Turkey. In a photo posted to social media, she was seen posing in a pair of huge sunglasses while her trademark plumped pout looked painfully tight. The mum-of-five captioned her post: 'I can't smile.' Katie previously shared a first look at her face after the surgery, posing with bandages around her ears and tape by her eyes and nose. Downton Abbey fans pay homage to 'beautiful' props before finale
As Downton Abbey draws to a close in September, some fans took solace by getting close to memorable props and costumes from the much-loved British saga as they went on sale Monday. Everyone has their favourite piece, including Charlie Thomas of London's Bonhams auction house which is holding the sale. He had no hesitation in highlighting the "bell wall", the servant's call system which appears from the first series to the last, as his favourite item. "Just to prove it's a working bell, look at that -- I expect someone's going to deliver tea in a minute," he joked while testing out the item, which is valued between £6,000 and £8,000. Thomas, who is in charge of the auction, suspects that it will smash its pre-sale valuation. The online sale began on Monday and will end on September 16, with the public invited to an exhibition of all the items before they go under the hammer. "We've already had a huge amount of interest coming from across the globe, especially from America, from Europe, a lot from northern Europe, from Asia," he added. "People have sort of fallen in love with these characters". - 'Beautiful' - The television series, created by Julian Fellowes, first aired in the UK in 2010 before conquering the world. It tells the story of the wealthy aristocratic Crawley family and their servants over a 30-year period, spanning six seasons and 52 episodes. More than 120 million viewers worldwide have seen the show, according to Bonhams. Two films were released in 2019 and 2022 and a third, "The Grand Finale", is due out on September 12. It will focus on divorce and the Crawley's survival in a constantly changing world. Visitors to the exhibition on Monday viewed the pieces with a reverential eye, with one woman taking a long look at the cane used by Violet Crawley, played by Maggie Smith, who died in September 2024. "It's a beautiful item," she told AFP, without giving her name. "I would like to buy the cane for my mother-in-law who is turning 70, but I am not sure how she'll take it," she added, with a smile. Other highlights include Lord and Lady Grantham's 1925 Sunbeam saloon car, which still runs (valued between £25,000 and £35,000), the dress worn by Lady Mary at her wedding to Matthew Crawley (valued between £3,000 and £5,000), and a pair of harem pants belonging to Lady Sybil, valued similarly. - 'Glamorous' - "My favourite piece(s) right now are just all the dresses. I don't think I could even pick one, they're all just so beautiful," said Hailey Bradley, a 23-year-old American living in London. "It's so glamorous," added Bradley, who described herself as "a big fan." Lucia Campara, an Italian woman from Milan, came with her husband and their 11-year-old daughter, Giulia. She organised the family holiday with the goal of visiting important places in Jane Austen's life, and discovering the worlds of Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. "It's a unique occasion to see all those objects that will soon disappear," she explained. But Campara does not plan to bid, saying: "The best pieces will cost too much and anyway, it is not something you would use in your daily life." Jenny Foster, an 85-year-old British woman, was particularly interested in 1920s dresses, as she expressed her disappointment that the saga was coming to an end. "In fact, I shall probably watch it all again anyway now, because I've forgotten some of it now," she said. 'Ketamine Queen' agrees to plead guilty to selling drugs that killed Matthew Perry
A woman known as the "Ketamine Queen" has agreed to plead guilty after being charged with selling Matthew Perry the drug that killed him. Jasveen Sangha has become the fifth and final defendant charged in the overdose death of the Friends star to strike a plea agreement with federal prosecutors, avoiding a trial that had been planned for September. She had agreed to plead guilty to five federal criminal charges, including providing the ketamine that led to Perry's death, federal prosecutors said in a statement on Monday, local time. Prosecutors had cast Ms Sangha, a 42-year-old citizen of the US and the UK, as a prolific drug dealer who was known to her customers as the "Ketamine Queen," using the term often in press releases and court documents and even including it in the official name of the case. The statement said she had agreed to plead guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury. She admitted in the agreement to selling four vials of ketamine to another man, Cody McLaury, hours before he died from an overdose in 2019. Mr McLaury had no relationship to Perry. Prosecutors will drop three other counts related to the distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of methamphetamine that was unrelated to the Perry case. Ms Sangha will officially change her plea to guilty at an upcoming hearing, where sentencing will be scheduled, prosecutors say. She could get up to 45 years in prison. An email sent to Ms Sangha's lawyers seeking comment was not immediately answered. She and Salvador Plasencia, who signed his own plea deal on June 16, had been the primary targets of the investigation. Three other defendants — Dr Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa and Erik Fleming — agreed to plead guilty last year in exchange for their cooperation, which included statements implicating Ms Sangha and Plasencia. Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home by Iwamasa, his assistant, on October 28, 2023. The medical examiner ruled that ketamine, typically used as a surgical anaesthetic, was the primary cause of death. The actor had been using the drug through his regular doctor as a legal, but off-label, treatment for depression, which has become increasingly common. Perry struggled with addiction for years, dating back to his time on Friends, when he became one of the biggest stars of his generation as Chandler Bing. He starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 on NBC's mega hit series. Perry, 54, sought more ketamine than his doctor would give him. He began getting it from Plasencia about a month before his death, then started getting still more from Sangha about two weeks before his death, prosecutors said. Perry and Iwamasa found Sangha through Perry's friend, Fleming. In their plea agreements, both men described the subsequent deals in detail. Fleming messaged Iwamasa saying Sangha's ketamine was "unmarked but it's amazing," according to court documents. Fleming texted Iwamasa that she only dealt "with high end and celebs. If it were not great stuff she'd lose her business". With the two men acting as middlemen, Perry bought large amounts of ketamine from Sangha, including 25 vials for $US6,000 ($9,240) in cash four days before his death. That purchase included the doses that killed Perry, prosecutors said. On the day of Perry's death, Ms Sangha told Fleming they should delete all the messages they had sent each other, according to her indictment. Her home in North Hollywood, California, was raided in March 2024 by Drug Enforcement Administration agents who found large amounts of methamphetamines and ketamine, according to an affidavit from an agent. She was indicted that June, arrested that August and has been held in jail since. None of the defendants have been sentenced yet. AP
