A Scottish man who tragically died in a fatal BMW crash has been named.
Around 9.20pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, police received a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Dunnikier Way, Kirkcaldy.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Grzegorz Pychowski.
In a moving tribute, his family said: 'A beloved Dad, Grandad, friend. Grzegorz's memory will live on. Let us hurry to love those close to us, they leave so quickly.'
The driver of the BMW, a 44-year-old man, was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and later released pending further enquiries.
A small dark coloured car which was in the area at the time has also now been traced.

Officers are no longer appealing for information but enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

It said: "We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Refunds are available from point of purchase.' The singer's show at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff on July 9 Smokey has also been cancelled. No reason has been given for the gigs being called off – while three other dates of his UK tour, in Lewes on July 4, Birmingham on July 8, and London on July 11, are listed as going ahead. Robinson released "A Quiet Storm" in 1975 which became one of his first ever major successes in the music world. As part of the celebrations, he will now perform three shows for fans in the UK this summer. Robinson is under criminal investigation in Los Angeles over accusations of sexual assault. Robinson is being accused of sexual battery, sexual assault, false imprisonment, gender violence, and creating a hostile work environment in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday. His wife, Frances Robinson, is accused of knowing about the alleged assaults and doing nothing about them, according to court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed last month that it had launched a formal inquiry into the allegations, saying the probe was in the "early stages". Midlothian mum horrified as BMW driver ploughs into garden with children in house

More info A Midlothian mum has said she was 'in shock' after a driver in a BMW ploughed into her garden. Shona Halliday was at her house in Dalkeith on Tuesday evening when a motorist 'came through the fence to her garden'. Officers have since arrested a 32-year-old driver, who is due to appear in court on July 2. Shona and her neighbour both have 13-year-old boys, who she said 'could have been out playing in the garden'. Footage from the garden after the incident shows the 3 series on the lawn, with damage to the front of the vehicle and the wooden fence crumpled underneath. Police have said no injuries were reported. Speaking to Edinburgh Live , Shona said: "This happened at 9.05pm last night on Thornybank Grove. Emergency crews raced to the scene on the A98 near Enzie, in Buckie, Moray, yesterday afternoon. Two motors, a Vauxhall Insignia and a Peugeot 2008, were involved in the crash. Officers confirmed that a 32-year-old woman, who was driving the Vauxhall, was found injured. She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A 77-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Peugeot was also fatally injured. She was also pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Peugeot, a 77-year-old man, was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Medics have described his condition as serious but stable. Cops locked down the road for hours to allow collision investigators to conduct inquiries at the scene. Police have now launched an investigation into the fatal crash and have said that inquiries are ongoing. "We would appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash who has not already spoken to officers, or those who have any dashcam footage that may capture either vehicle prior to the collision, to please come forward.
