Fresh off their triumphant win in the IPL (Indian Premier League), RCB have received Rs 20 crore for winning the 18th edition of the league, while runners-up Punjab Kings got richer by Rs 12.5 crore.RCB lifted their maiden title in the world's biggest T20 league by getting the better of PBKS by six runs in an exciting summit showdown here on Tuesday, ending a long wait of 18 years for the team as well as its talisman Virat Kohli Third-Place finishers Mumbai Indians earned Rs 7 crore for reaching Qualifier 2, while the fourth-placed Gujarat Titans were given Rs 6.5 crore for playing in the Eliminator.Over the years, the IPL prize money has grown exponentially.In the inaugural 2008 edition, the winning side received Rs 4.8 crore, whereas the runner-up team was awarded Rs 2.4 crore.The Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) has got the 'Best Pitch and Ground' award for the matches held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Besides the recognition, DDCA also got richer by Rs 50 lakh.The stadium hosted seven matches this season, all of them being preliminary fixtures.DDCA President Rohan Jaitley expressed his gratitude, stating, "This award is a testament to the tireless work of our curators, staff, and management. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in cricket infrastructure."

To address this, a new curriculum was introduced by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for VLSI Design and Technology, Integrated Circuit (IC) government is also shaping skilled manpower in the semiconductor design sector and providing EDA tools to design semiconductor chips, the minister said.A 'Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme' was also approved as part of the Semicon India Programme with an overall outlay of Rs 1000 Crore to nurture the entrepreneurship ecosystem by way of encouraging and supporting the design and deep tech start-ups involved in the semiconductor design ecosystem in the country."So far, 72 design companies (including start-ups and MSMEs) have been approved for semiconductor chip design infrastructure support under the DLI Scheme. Retail major IKEA to double down on India market in 12-18 months
New Delhi: Multinational conglomerate IKEA plans to double the number of its stores and customer touchpoints across the nation over the next 12 to 18 months, according to Jesper Brodin, CEO of Ingka Group, which owns IKEA globally. The expansion will include both large-format stores and smaller outlets in malls and city centres. According to Brodin, the company is committed to rapid expansion in India and plans to increase local sourcing from its current 30 per cent to 50 per cent by 2030 as part of its long-term strategy. Additionally, he disclosed that plans to open 5–6 new touchpoints in India every year over the next five years. IKEA intends to double the number of its stores and customer service centres nationwide. IKEA has big plans for the Delhi NCR area as part of its retail expansion, with big stores opening in Noida and Gurgaon. Two additional large stores are also planned for South India, though the precise locations have not yet been disclosed. IKEA currently runs three sizable stores in Bengaluru, Navi Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The company has already invested Rs 10,500 crore in India and has ventured into online retail, providing 24-hour delivery services in a few locations. Regarding sourcing, IKEA has 45 Indian suppliers, mostly in the textile and toy industries. The company's products are well-known throughout the world for their modern design, affordability, and usefulness. The Swedish firm anticipates India to be its fastest-growing market over the next 20 years, with a particular emphasis on customer experience, product range, and expansion. Rana had an underwhelming IPL 2025, taking 25 wickets at an economy rate of 10.18. He also has only one T20 experience at the international level, and the selectors preferred him over the likes of experienced Siraj and IPL 2025 purple cap winner Krishna. Chopra did point out Rana's match-winning performance as a concussion replacement against England, but he raised concerns over his performances before and after that. "Harshit Rana's case is very interesting. His case needs to be discussed because he came as a concussion replacement for Shivam Dube once, picked up three wickets as well, and became the Player of the Match, which was brilliant, but what about before and after that?" Chopra said on his YouTube channel. The former cricketer turned commentator didn't shy away from saying that Rana hasn't done enough to deserve a place in the side. "The last IPL was extremely ordinary. His performances have not been very good. His numbers are not flattering. It doesn't seem like his numbers are strong enough to deserve a place in the side," he added. Talking further about Rana's case, he emphasised that he will only get a chance in the XI when Bumrah gets rested against a weaker side in the group stage. "The truth is also that he won't get to play all matches. In fact, he might get to play even one match when Bumrah isn't available. If he isn't getting a chance to play, you say that whoever is sitting out doesn't make a difference," he said. "Prasidh Krishna should have got a chance" Chopra felt that Krishna, named only among the reserves, merited a place in the main 15. He also pointed out that Siraj's outstanding performances in England could have earned him a call-up, but the selectors seemed to have taken a different direction. "However, if you see the recent record, you will find that Prasidh Krishna should have got a chance, or you could have thought about rewarding Mohammed Siraj, but the team has once again gone towards Harshit," Chopra observed.
