With summer vacations on the horizon, Disney Experiences are popping off at their bi-coastal theme parks, Disney Cruises, and international destinations.
Walt Disney World is getting a nighttime parade featuring new Pixar and Disney Animation Studios favorites, while Mickey Mouse and the Fab Five get dapper outfits to shine along with Starlight. Spooky fun is already beginning with the Disney Villains getting their own show at WDW's Hollywood Studios and Halloween party tickets going on sale.
Over at Disneyland, the 70th anniversary party is in full swing with fun festive foods and more. At Disneyland Paris, the theme park dances the summer away with a new music festival. And Disney Cruises prepares to set sail with the fleet's newest ship in this week's theme park news.
Walt Disney World – Starlight
This summer brings an all-new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, which will debut July 20, 2025. The Magic Kingdom Park exclusive will bring back nighttime parades to the Walt Disney World resort and will feature classic and new Disney and Pixar fandom faves along the parade route on Main Street. The sparkling floats will light up the night and of course we're excited to see the updates to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Daisy's costumes for the summer premiere.

Walt Disney World – Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Haunted Mansion's Butler Broom extends the invitation for what's sure to be a swinging wake. New this year will be a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse spooky meet and greet at the Town Square Theater. For those of us with little tots, the Storybook Circus will get a 'happy haunt' transformation to help the smallest of Disney fans ease into the spirit of the season—since it is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween after all. Disneyland 70th Food
This summer, aside from watching all the nighttime shows and scavenger hunting with the key to Disneyland, we'll be eating our way through the parks. Our current fave dish is the 70th celebration Mickey Waffles at Schmoozies which are like confetti cake in flavor and have a creamy strawberry center that's not to be missed.
Disneyland France – Disney Music Festival
Disneyland Paris makes a debut as a music festival destination from now until September 7 with the Disney Music Festival.
The event will combine all genres of music with experiences inspired by Pixar and Disney Animation favorites, with hubs dedicated to various genres of music. That includes a mariachi band with Coco's Miguel in Frontierland, jazz with Mary Poppins in Town Square, rock n' roll with Elvis Stitch in Discoveryland, and more characters getting in on the fun. I want to know to know the story of DJ Chip and Dale, who just by the looks of their outfits look like they mean house music business.
Disney Cruise – The Disney Destiny
The comic book action and fairytale magic of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel heroes and villains will soon take over the Disney Destiny, the newest ship set to embark on ocean adventures in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The Destiny will begin its trips later this year on November 20 with 4-5 night cruises taking off from the port of Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean. We're excited for the ship's epic looking Hercules show and the gorgon battle teased in the image above.

The iconic international bear Duffy and his friends are turning 20. The celebration is hittingTokyo DisneySea for seaside fun this year with special food, entertainment and merch. I hope we get some stateside soon! We need LinaBell and other plushes for those of us collecting.

Spider-Man themed land breaks ground at Shanghai Disney Resort
The Marvel Cinematic (theme park) Universe expands at Shanghai Disneyland with a new Spider-Man inspired land which will host new shows, dining, and attractions. Notably there will be a high-octane coaster that will swing you around on a heroic action encounter with Spidey. Land broke on May 18 for the area which will neighbor the recently opened Zootopia land. Makes sense, the Wonderful World of Disney insects living next to animals and all.

Zach Daudet's 11th-inning walk-off home run sends Cal Poly to regional championship round
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Zach Daudet's walk-off home run in the 11th inning lifted Cal Poly to a 7-6 victory over Utah Valley on Sunday night and the Mustangs reached the championship round of the Eugene Regional. The Mustangs (43-19) advanced to play Arizona later Sunday night. A win by Cal Poly would force a deciding game on Monday. A win by Arizona would wrap up the regional championship and send the Wildcats to the super regionals. Landon Frei's third-inning grand slam gave Utah Valley a 4-1 lead. Cal Poly responded with five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Cam Hoiland hit a leadoff home run for the Mustangs and Ryan Fenn came through with a two-out RBI single. Daudet scored on a balk and Nate Castellon doubled in two more runs for a 6-4 lead. Utah Valley (33-29) caught up with a leadoff home run by Dominic Longo II in the sixth and an RBI double by Jayden Smith in the seventh. Jaccob Torres (6-4), who came in and got the third out in the ninth inning to leave the bases loaded, got the win for Cal Poly. He did not allow a hit in 2 1/3 innings pitched. Concerts to see this week: A Prince celebration, Breakaway Music Fest, Alison Krauss originally appeared on Bring Me The News. We've probably said this before, but June feels like the start of the summer concert season. There are hints of it that start in May, but it's clear that things are truly getting underway this week with the kickoff of outdoor shows at The Ledge Amphitheater, the arrival of the Twin Cities first big summer music festival, and a cities-wide celebration of Prince. Here are the concerts you shouldn't miss this week around the Twin Cities. Tuesday, June 3, at Turf Club Peelander-Z is an experience. They're the kind of band where some fans might not even listen to the albums, but never miss a live performance. Their shows are uncontrolled chaos that might feature costumed dancers, a giant squid, human-sized bowling, and ballistic energy from Peelander-Yellow. (Every member is named after a color that they almost exclusively wear.) There's really nothing quite like Peelander-Z and the group's high-energy, tongue-in-cheek punk songs. Over at Zhora Darling, the six-piece, L.A.-based Dutch Interior arrives just after the release of Moneyball, packed with modern Americana songs that feel somehow distant from the label. Despite having six members — who have all been lifelong friends — the music is sparse, almost low-fi, and has an undercurrent of quiet punk energy. Poor Image and Harlow open. Thursday, June 5–Sunday, June 8, at various locations Paisley Park's annual celebration of Prince returns for four days of events that start on Thursday with a dance party featuring a Transmission tribute to Prince at First Avenue. The big attraction is a Friday night concert at Paisley Park that includes Morris Day and the Time, as well as The Family, a group that only released a single 1985 album co-produced by Prince. (That album features the original recording of "Nothing Compares 2 U.") However, they reformed in 2011 as fDeluxe. Many other events are taking place at Paisley Park and around Downtown Minneapolis. Though the tickets don't come cheap. General admission passes for the full weekend cost $752.75. Meanwhile, a single-event ticket for the Friday concert will run you $109.75. Friday, June 6, at First Avenue Cue debates about whether or not Samia Finnerty will count as a local artist. (Minnesotans love to adopt artists, so the answer will be "yes.") Finnerty, who performs as just Samia, moved relocated to the Twin Cities relative recently, partly recording her new album, Bloodless in the state. Samia hits her stride on Bloodless, with seamless indie-pop songwriting that has an appealingly dark streak. That's clear right from the outset on the song "Bovine Excision" (look that up if haven't just eaten), which includes lyrics like "picking leeches off white underwear" and "I just wanted to be your friend / cup of tea in your cold hand / and drained, drained bloodless." Friday, June 6–Saturday, June 7, at Allianz Field Festival Grounds For a second year, the Breakaway Music Fest, which is held in a bunch of cities around the country, is making a stop in St. Paul. The EDM fest's 2025 lineup includes some big names in electronic dance music like John Summit, Tiësto, and Alison Wonderland. It'll be a bass-heavy, two-day dance party around the parking lot of Allianz Field. However, this year, EDM fans are going to have to make a tough call. Breakaway is happening on the same two days as the inauguralFestival in Cadott, Wis. The alien-themed fest has a similarly deep lineup, headlined by Marshmello, Rezz, Liquid Stranger, and RL June 8, at The Ledge Amphitheater Alison Krauss and Union Station are touring together for the first time since 2015. That's cause for celebration among folk and bluegrass lovers, as is the release of their first new album since 2011's Paper Airplane. They're arrival is also the kickoff of an impressive summer season at The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park. Alison Krauss and Union Station will follow Sunday's show with two more performances in Minnesota. They'll play Mankato's Vetter Stone Amphitheater on June 10 and Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park on June 11. Russell Moore opens. Sunday, June 8, at Surly Festival Field The pop-folk group just released their first new music since 2022, with the EP Somewhere. It's a gentle album that falls neatly in line with what has led the band to an arguably quiet popularity. The Ohio group has billions of streams and millions of monthly listeners. That might not offer any insight into their catchy, emotional songs, but if you haven't given their records a spin and are wondering how they're headlining a huge outdoor venue, well, there you go.
