Are you physically fit to take on the workload of playing a five-Test series in England?
I'm trying my best, doing hard work, performing strength exercises, attending practice sessions regularly, delivering maximum numbers of balls in the nets and managing my workload as much as possible. Red ball ke liye workload badhana padega (for red-ball cricket, the workload needs to be increased).
The series is right after the IPL. There's also an India 'A' series. So, it is hectic for everybody.
Who's that IPL player?
With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli having retired, do you feel India will miss out on crucial experience on the England tour?
Aaj kal ke cricket mey senior aur junior ka kahan fark hai (the distinction between youngsters and senior players doesn't really exist in today's cricket)! All are mature enough for international cricket these days due to the huge exposure in the IPL.

The important thing to see is how the team is formed and what combinations are made. So in that sense, mera aur Bumrah ka rahna zaroori hai (it's important for me and Bumrah to be present on the England tour).

Are you satisfied with your performance in the IPL so far?
No, I am not satisfied. I couldn't deliver what I wanted to. I didn't meet expectations. But still, I feel I can give my best in any format, any time if given the opportunity.
What problems does a pacer face while switching from T20s to Tests?
If you are smart, I don't think it will take you much time to switch to the longest format. Yes, if we talk about the number of overs, it is just four overs in T20s while a Test requires a pacer to send down 15-20 overs in a day. It takes about 15-20 days of preparation to be fit for Test cricket. How is your stamina? What is your strength in Test matches? It is important to evaluate these things.
India vs England Squad Live: India's probable Test squad for England Tour
What advice would you give younger pacers like Mayank Yadav who have been struggling with their injuries of late?
Injuries will remain a major issue as a fast bowler. It has happened to me, both major and minor issues. You have to be mentally and physically prepared to understand how much workload and stress are affecting you. You need to assess the strain your body is under and when you need recovery.

Jasprit Bumrah Troubles India Batters During Training Session Ahead Of England Tests

India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is up and running in Beckenham, putting in the hard yards before the upcoming five high-stakes Tests against England, slated to kick off on June 20 at Headingley. A new era beckons for India in the Test format as the modern-day giants gear up for their first assignment without the prized batting bigwigs Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Shubman Gill, India's youngest Test captain, has taken the baton from Rohit to guide the nation to success and challenge for the World Test Championship mace. During India's training session in Beckenham, Kent's second home venue, Bumrah displayed his unparalleled mastery in the art of pace bowling. With the ball in his hand, Bumrah showed signs of breaking the notion of requiring assistance from the surface to wreak havoc. Deemed to be the world's current best, Bumrah extracted significant seam movement and constantly tested the outside edge of batters. He constrained the batters inside the crease with his searing yorker-length deliveries, according to ESPNcricinfo. The 31-year-old could be heard chatting with India bowling coach Morne Morkel about his two five-fors at Trent Bridge, according to ESPNcricinfo. He talked about how, on his first trip in 2018, the Duke's ball was doing things in swing and seam-friendly conditions. But on his later tours, it became less responsive. Bumrah's utilisation will remain limited throughout the five Tests in England. During the announcement of India's squad for the upcoming Test tour of England, chief selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed Bumrah was advised not to contest in consecutive Tests as part of his workload management. The precaution around Bumrah's usage stems from a stress reaction in the back during the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney in January. He missed India's victory campaign in the Champions Trophy and returned to action for the Mumbai Indians in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL). Last week, head coach Gautam Gambhir revealed that they have yet to take a call on which Tests India will field Bumrah in the playing XI. When Jasprit Bumrah gave Cameron Green confidence with special message before surgery

Cameron Green revealed that Jasprit Bumrah reached out to him before he went in to get back surgery last year. Green had to go under the knife ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy last year as scans found that he was struggling with a unique issue. This meant that Green missed the BGT series against India at home, the Champions Trophy and the IPL 2025 season. advertisementGreen recently made his comeback to the field after a lengthy lay-off and will be part of the World Test Championship final for Australia against South Africa. Speaking to 7News, Green said that he had a chat with Ben Dwarshius and Jason Behrendorff before getting the surgery and felt he had made the right choice as soon as he made his mind up about surgery. 'I spoke to Ben Dwarshuis, and Jason Behrendorff, who I'm very close to in WA,' Green said. "And they couldn't speak any higher about getting it." 'Both of them said they wished they got it earlier. I think that's obviously really reassuring. As soon as I decided to get it, I knew it was the right thing to do," said Green. Green said that Bumrah reached out to him the night before surgery and while the Indian pacer was playing in a Test match and it was a special moment for him. advertisement'Even Jasprit Bumrah reached out the night before I was getting surgery. He was in the middle of a Test match in India. Just a few things like that is really special,' said Green. Bumrah and Green were part of the Mumbai Indians squad back in 2023, but the Indian pacer missed that season as he himself underwent surgery on the back. Green said Bumrah's message and performances after getting surgery filled him with confidence. 'To get someone like him to reach out and then to watch him during the summer, to see how good he is obviously post-surgery, filled me with a lot of confidence,' Green said.'At the two-week mark after surgery, I was in the gym moving around. It was incredible.'Green is expected to be back in the Australia playing XI for the WTC final against South Africa. Must Watch

WTC Final: How Jasprit Bumrah's message eased Cameron Green's surgery doubts; terms it 'really special'

Jasprit Bumrah and Cameron Green A timely message from Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah helped ease Australian all-rounder Cameron Green 's nerves ahead of his back surgery in October last year — a gesture Green described as 'really special.' Green had suffered a stress fracture in 2024 and opted for surgery, even though natural healing was an option. Speaking ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against South Africa this week, Green recalled the reassurance he received from Bumrah on the eve of his operation. Poll Do you believe Jasprit Bumrah's outreach to Cameron Green was impactful? Yes, definitely No, not really Bumrah, who underwent a similar procedure and missed the 2022 T20 World Cup, made a roaring comeback, leading India to the 2023 ODI World Cup final and later lifting the T20 World Cup. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah?
