Covington man killed in Washington Parish crash
WASHINGTON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Covington man is dead following a crash that happened in Washington Parish on the morning of March 13.
According to the Louisiana State Police, troopers with Troop L began investigating the crash, which happened on LA 21 near Easterling Landing Road, around 5:50 a.m.

The initial investigation shows that a 2014 GMC Yukon, which was being driven by 34-year-old Joshua J. Curry, was headed north on LA 21 when, for reasons that are still being investigated, the Yukon veered off of the road in a left-hand curve, flipped and crashed into a home.
Curry was unrestrained and was ejected from the SUV, sustaining severe injuries. He was pronounced dead on scene. As part of the investigation, standard toxicology samples were taken from Curry.New Orleans mother seeking answers in son's 2022 unsolved murder

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell in a stalking case. Flood Warning & Advisory to impact evening commute Cantrell claims a woman, Anne Breaud, was stalking her when she took photos of the mayor dining at a French Quarter restaurant. Breaud took the photos from her own balcony in the Upper Pontalba building. Slidell man pleads guilty in child sexual abuse material possession case
SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — A Slidell man pled guilty on June 5 following an investigation into the online sharing of child sexual abuse material. According to the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana, back in January of 2020, FBI agents began investigating child sexual exploitation material being shared over an instant messaging mobile app, eventually identifying 27-year-old Brock Taylor Guillot as a suspect in the case. Person struck, killed by train: New Orleans police Later, in February of 2021, agents searched Guillot's home, seizing electronic items that belonged to him. His cell phone was found to have at least one image and 518 videos showing the sexual victimization of children, with some victims thought to have been under 3 years old. Similar content was also found on multiple social media instant messaging accounts. Guillot pled guilty to possession of images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children under the age of 12 years old. He faces sentencing of up to 20 years in prison as well as at least 5 years and up to a lifetime of supervised release. He may be fined up to $250,000 and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee, and may also have to register as a sex offender.
