Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that Uttar Pradesh will generate 20 ,000 megawatts of renewable energy by 2027. He said this after laying the foundation stone, along with Union minister Jitendra Singh, for a greenfield data centre at Sahibabad. According to an official statement, Adityanath expressed his pleasure at the new data centre being developed by Central Electronics Limited (CEL). "This is a strong step towards the Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's resolution of net zero emissions by 2070," he said. "By 2027, Uttar Pradesh will generate 20,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy, in which CEL's role will be prominent," he added. Adityanath hailed CEL's journey as a symbol of India's industrial resurgence and self-reliance, calling it a "major pillar of Prime Minister Modi's 2047 developed India vision". He emphasised, "Through institutions like CEL, new India is moving forward with its strength, technology, and confidence." The chief minister participated in a ceremonial puja and inaugurated an exhibition at the golden jubilee celebrations of CEL, the statement said. He also planted a sapling as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. Referring to Operation Sindoor, Adityanath said, "BrahMos and Akash missiles were recently used against Pakistan. We can say that the capabilities of both these missiles have been tested in Pakistan and trusted in the world." The chief minister linked CEL's growth to the changing landscape of Uttar Pradesh. He said that in the last eight years, Uttar Pradesh's economy has grown two-and-a-half times, six crore people have been lifted out of poverty, and investors are now enthusiastic about investing in the state. He noted, "In 2017, the state was struggling with the image of a 'BIMARU' state, but today it has moved towards becoming the growth engine of the country." He said that out of Rs 50 lakh crore investment proposals, Rs 15 lakh crore worth of investments have been linked to production through ground-breaking ceremonies. During the event, CEL presented a dividend check of approximately Rs 21 crore to the Central government, and an MoU was signed between CEL and Multi Infra for 200 megawatts of solar modules, the statement said. Adityanath described CEL's 50-year journey as a "success story", noting that the institution has now entered 'Amrit Kaal' and is playing a decisive role in realizing Prime Minister Modi's vision of a developed India. The chief minister said, "There was a time when CEL was put on the disinvestment list. But today, it has become a profit-making 'Mini Ratna' company. These 5 automation stocks have delivered less-than-stellar returns, but still deserve to be on your watchlist

In 2020, in a factory on Tokyo's outskirts, a robotic arm was putting the final touches on a car's frame while a team of engineers watched from afar. The factory ran entirely on algorithms, robotics, and artificial intelligence, machines doing the heavy lifting, making decisions, and even optimising production—all without a single human instruction. That day marked the beginning of a new era, in which automation would not only supplement human effort but replace it altogether. From AI-driven recommendations on Netflix to self-driving cars, and from manufacturing and logistics to software and services, automation is transforming business operations, helping to increase productivity and reduce costs with enhanced precision. As India strives to become a global manufacturing and technology hub, driven by the Union government's initiatives such as 'Make in India' and 'Digital India' and the adoption of Industry 4.0 practices, demand for automation has surged. At the heart of this transformation are a few technology companies that are advancing into new territories. Some such companies listed on India's stock exchanges not only cater to domestic demands but are also emerging as significant players in the global automation supply chain.
