Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick returns from injured list after dealing with hamstring issue
Frelick was leading off and playing right field for the Brewers against the Miami Marlins. The Brewers made room for him by optioning infielder Tyler Black to Triple-A Nashville.
The 25-year-old Frelick is batting .294 with a .354 on-base percentage, .404 slugging percentage, seven homers, 39 RBIs and 17 steals in 93 games. He went on the injured list after hurting his hamstring while making a sliding catch in the Brewers' last game before the All-Star break.
'What he brings to the table is special,' Brewers manager Pat Murphy said.
Black, who turned 25 on Saturday, went 2 of 6 with a pair of walks and an RBI in three games with Milwaukee. He has batted .242 with a .359 on-base percentage, three homers, 22 RBIs and five steals in 34 minor league games.

She won a bronze medal at the distance during the 2023 world championships in Budapest. It was part of a stellar showing at worlds that season, as she also won the 100 and helped the 4×100 relay to a gold. A year later, Richardson finished with the silver medal in the 100 at the Paris Games. Diogo Jota honored ahead of Porto game a month after his death
PORTO, Portugal (AP) — Diogo Jota and his brother were honored before a preseason friendly match between Porto and Atletico Madrid on Sunday. Jota and André Silva died in a car crash on July 3 in Spain. Liverpool star Jota's previous clubs included Porto and Atletico. There was a moment of silence as players from both teams stood side by side on the field at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto before fans loudly applauded from the stands. A video was shown honoring Jota, a Portugal international, and his brother, who also once was a member of the Portuguese club. Fans applauded again in the 20th minute.
