Trace Cyrus Blasts 'Evil' Dad Billy Ray Cyrus For Skipping Grandmother's Funeral

Trace Cyrus, the son of country musician Billy Ray Cyrus, continues to hint at family discord even as his father appears to be happily in the throes of a new relationship. On Tuesday, Trace Cyrus shared an Instagram post in which he accused the two-time Grammy winner of skipping his maternal grandmother's funeral. 'This man is so hungry for fame it's pathetic,' he wrote alongside a photo of Billy Ray Cyrus. 'He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn't come to LA for Mammie's funeral while he was still married to my mom. Even after his daughter got him a 60k private jet like he demanded then he still didn't come after the plane was paid for.' Addressing his dad directly, Trace Cyrus added: 'You're the lamest man to ever walk the planet earth. Honestly embarrassed to ever have considered you my idol. The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I'm old like you.' A representative for Billy Ray Cyrus declined comment on Trace Cyrus' remarks. In addition to Trace Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus shares four more children ― including daughters Miley and Noah Cyrus ― with ex-wife Tish Cyrus. Tish Cyrus' mother, Loretta Finley, died in 2020 at age 85, according to USA Today. Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus divorced in 2022 after 28 years of marriage. Trace Cyrus, who is also a musician, has hinted at an estrangement from his father on numerous occasions. In January, he urged Billy Ray Cyrus to seek help via an open letter on Instagram in response to his dad's shaky performance at President Donald Trump's inaugural festivities that month. 'We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns,' he wrote at the time. 'You're not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it.' Trace Cyrus' post comes just days after Miley Cyrus shrugged off rumors of a strained relationship with her dad while appearing on The New York Times' 'The Interview' podcast. 'As I've gotten older, I'm respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents — because my mom really loved my dad for her whole life,' she explained. 'And I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is, obviously, really hard.' These days, Billy Ray Cyrus appears to be enjoying his time with girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley nearly two months after hard-launching their romance on social media. On Tuesday, the musician acknowledged Hurley's 60th birthday with a heartfelt post on Instagram, writing: 'Happy birthday to the love of my life.' Losing His Way Is Exactly What Former Falcons RB T.J. Duckett Needed To Find Peace

Losing His Way Is Exactly What Former Falcons RB T.J. Duckett Needed To Find Peace originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In 2009, after football had ended for T.J. Duckett, the former bruiser of a back, found himself wondering where time had gone and whether it was all really over. He did not know how to be an average human being outside of football, a game that was all he ever knew. Advertisement Since then, Duckett has found true happiness, learned to live without the crowd's roar, and become a philanthropist/entrepreneur who regularly speaks to student athletes as a motivational speaker. Former Falcons RB T.J. Duckett runs the ball against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Imagn Images (©) Copyright 2004 by Preston Mack Duckett would sit down with Josh Petry, a journalist at Athlon Sports and host of the "Nerdz Enigma" podcast on YouTube. Duckett would discuss being part of the "DVD" Era in Atlanta (Dunn, Vick, and Duckett), being passed on by the Cleveland Browns, and what life is like after football. One thing casual fans may not remember is that Duckett would run a 4.37 40-yard dash at his Michigan State Spartans pro day. All the while being just over six feet tall, and north of 260 pounds. Advertisement When asked about his being a bruising running back yet having that type of speed, he would say, "God-given blessed speed, you know! My dad is a track coach, and he's been coaching high school track for 56 years. I grew up around track, so I knew the importance of stretching and getting your knees up. I became a track runner at 250-260." When Duckett was asked about expecting to go number 16 in the NFL Draft to the Cleveland Browns, only for Cleveland to take another running back, then going 18th to Atlanta. Was that water under the bridge due to the better situation in Atlanta? Or did you want to make them pay whenever you had the chance to play them? "It was water under the bridge, you know, that NFL Draft, there is no telling where you're going to go. You may have an idea, but it's so unpredictable. I thought that I would go to Cleveland, Atlanta had just gotten Warrick Dunn, so I'm starting to look at the teams, and there isn't much room for a big running back like myself." "When I got that call, it wasn't about making anybody pay; It's like, I get to live my dream now." Advertisement Duckett struggled after football, and was asked if losing his way was exactly what he needed to find that peace in his life, and he would say, "Yeah, it's not necessarily about losing my way, it's about what I want. But, it's so much bigger than you, and I like to control the situation, but you find yourself asking, This is what I want, so why didn't I win a Super Bowl. Life is meant to be lived, and it will unfold how you keep testing if what is inside you scares you." Duckett's website originated through his non-profit "New World Flood." Flooding the world through giving and service, a single raindrop at a time. More can be found at Duckett also has a book titled "The Student-Athlete Blueprint: The Ultimate Guide to Excellence in School and Sports. The full interview with T.J. A TikTok-famous microwavable popcorn popper that's basically a must-have if you've often considered ordering popcorn from the local AMC on Uber Eats. All you have to do is add the kernels, place a slab of butter on the lid, then microwave your way to theater-worthy popcorn. A piercing bump solution formulated with jojoba, grape seed, and rose to help keep any annoying keloids at bay! It can help shrink bumps and reduce scarring by promoting skin cell turnover and adding an extra dose of moisture. A set of press-on nails that requires ZERO messy nail glue — the adhesive is already on the nail!!! Just peel the backing off, press it, and forget it! Oh, and don't worry about accidentally ripping these off five minutes after you put them on — several reviewers say they're durable enough to survive everything from showering to furiously typing a passive-aggressive e-mail. A pair of teeth-whitening pens, which are SO much easier to use than traditional white strips. Just swipe it on and let the gel sit for 30 minutes — and eventually, you'll see years and years of stains start to disappear. This is a must for all my fellow coffee connoisseurs. An Ogx air-dry leave-in cream, which will give you Sephora-level results at a drugstore-level price. You can get five of these for less than $10, and reviewers say they blend everything from foundation to concealer like a dream. I probably should have led with the coconut part. 🥥 🤤 A pair of light-up "chop sabers" so you can bring a touch of The Force to every meal — and have a post-lunch lightsaber battle afterward.
