'I've always been like this
Can I be honest, I am glad I'm in a male jail and do you know why?
'Because if I was in a female jail I'd never be able to have relationships or meet guys.
'Do you know what I mean?'
Bryson, born Adam Graham, began to identify as a woman called Isla while awaiting trial for rape.
Bryson's case caused public and political outrage after the rapist was sent to female jail Cornton Vale before Nicola Sturgeon, then first minister, announced a switch to all-male HMP Edinburgh.
The double rapist, who was jailed for eight years, with a further three on licence in February 2023, was later moved to HMP Glenochil.
Referring to his relationship with the other con, Bryson said: 'I met him in the jail and I was with him for six months and then he got moved.
'I was sleeping with him for six months. And basically he got moved
'Obviously it was all consensual.'
In April, Britain's Supreme Court ruled that only two biological sexes - male and female, assigned at birth - can be recognised under the 2010 Equality Act.
The decision is likely to have far reaching repercussions and has raised questions over whether trans prisoners should be housed in all-female jails.
Bryson, 33, was convicted in January 2023 of raping woman in Clydebank and Drumchapel, while known as Graham.
A spokesperson for The Scottish Prison Service said: 'We don't comment on individuals.
'We have received the Supreme Court's judgement and are considering any potential impact it may have."

The grim discovery was made after the alarm was raised on the Dunning to Kinross road at around 7am, and an investigation was launched. During the probe, officers arrested men aged 36 and 42 and a 40-year-old woman. An increased police presence will be in the area and the road is still closed. An investigation into the death is ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7am on Friday, 13 June, 2025, we were called to the death of a 29-year-old man on the Dunning to Kinross road in Perth. "A 40-year-old woman and two men, aged 36 and 42, have been arrested in connection with the death and enquiries are ongoing. There will be an increased police presence in the area and the road remains closed while investigations continue."

Scots cops sent to Northern Ireland as police officers injured in fireworks riots
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the Scots cops in question are "trained to work in our environment". Police Scotland officers have been deployed to Northern Ireland as a fifth consecutive night of riots saw more police officers injured in the disturbances. Heavy masonry and fireworks were thrown during disorder on Friday night. And Assistant Chief Constable Melanie Jones has said the Scots officers in question are equipped to deal with the challenges they'll face. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officer said: "It is important to know over the remainder of this weekend the public will continue to see a large policing presence across Northern Ireland to reassure our communities and protect our streets. This will include the deployment of mutual aid resources from Scotland. "These officers, trained to work in our environment, will be working side by side with their PSNI colleagues. We repeat, once more, our appeal for calm across Northern Ireland in the coming days." And a senior officer has warned that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is actively investigating people inciting the disorder through social media. The scenes on Friday night in Portadown were the fifth consecutive night of rioting in the region after serious disturbances in Ballymena on Monday. On Saturday afternoon, hundreds of people attended a rally in Belfast city centre which heard calls for greater political leadership in opposing racism. More than 60 police officers have been hurt during the rioting. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Disorder and violence broke out in Portadown with officers coming under sustained attack with heavy masonry and fireworks thrown at them. "Officers used various public order tactics including water cannon to keep the public safe with no reports of injury to the public or damage to property." Two males, aged 14 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of riotous behaviour and remain in custody. Police in Londonderry dealt with disorder in the Tullyally area. A police vehicle was damaged, with the front window smashed. One male was arrested at around 2.20am and remains in custody. Damage was caused to playing fields and property in the Killeavey Road area of Newry as a large group set a pitch and bins on fire. One 14-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of riot. Stones were thrown at the windows of a hotel in the Newtownabbey area. A car was also set on fire in the Hesketh Gardens area of Belfast, which police are treating as a racially motivated crime. The disorder started in Ballymena on Monday after an alleged sexual assault of a girl in the town last weekend. Two 14-year-old boys, who spoke to a court through a Romanian interpreter, have been charged with attempted rape. A peaceful protest about the alleged assault on Monday evening was followed by attacks on properties housing ethnic minorities and police. The PSNI described the scenes as "racist thuggery". Assistant Chief Constable Jones added: "It's deeply disturbing to see such young members of our communities involved in and in some areas driving criminal activity like this. "I would appeal directly to parents and guardians to speak to your children about the impact their behaviour is having on the safety of our local communities and the impact this could have on their lives if arrested, charged and prosecuted. We continue to have a heightened presence in our local communities to de-escalate violence. "We are making arrests and will continue to make public appeals with photos of suspects. Do you want your child, family member or friend directly associated with this disorder in this way? These actions are not without serious consequence. I am so grateful to our frontline officers who continue to put themselves at risk in protecting everyone from this hate-motivated criminality." Ms Jones added: "To those posting hate on social media, inciting disorder or being seen to commit disorder, we are actively investigating what you have said and what you have been captured doing. We have an ongoing physical and online presence. We have already released images of four individuals we want to identify and interview in connection with our ongoing investigation." The officer added: "In releasing these images, I am asking the wider community to step forward and help us. It is in all of our interests, and in the interests of justice, that those responsible are dealt with and I would urge anyone who may have information to bring it forward."

Liverpool cops release new statement after arrest of 'gangland' shooting suspect
The arrest is in connection with the fatal shooting of Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr in Monaghans, Fuengirola on May 31. Police in Liverpool have released a new statement following the arrest of a suspect in a gangland shooting in Spain. Merseyside police have confirmed a 44-year-old man from the area has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of the Costa del Sol gangland execution of Scots mobsters Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr. The suspect was taken into custody on June 13 in Liverpool by the local force under an international arrest warrant issued by the Spanish authorities. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday 14 June, for the commencement of extradition proceedings to Spain. The arrest is in connection with the fatal shooting of Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr in Monaghans, Fuengirola on May 31. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm yesterday evening, Friday 13 June, a man was arrested in connection with two fatal shootings in Spain on 31 May. "The 44-year-old man from Merseyside appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court this morning, Saturday 14 June, for the commencement of extradition proceedings to Spain. He has been remanded into custody to appear in court at a later date." Although the men killed have links to the notorious Lyons Glasgow crime family involved in the ongoing gang war that has raged on across the central belt since March, Police Scotland say they do not believe the shooting is connected. Monaghan, who fled Scotland in 2017, to head for the Costa Del Sol is listed as the proprietor of the bar in an online business directory for the bar which looks onto the promenade of the popular holiday resort. The gangland figure touched town in Malaga in January 2017 after he was shot twice in a gun attack outside a primary school in Glasgow. Monaghan was reportedly shot twice by a gunman lurking outside St George's Primary, Penilee. Grisly pictures from the scene of the gun attack, which occurred around 11.30pm last month, show a man lying lifeless on his back in shorts an a T-shirt by a drinks and meal men blackboard on an outside terrace at the Irish bar. In other disturbing images police and paramedics can be seen surrounding the body of one of the victims, thought to be the same man, after he was covered under a blanket as shocked locals and holidaymakers looked on. Police Scotland have said they have received no intelligence to say that the shooting was connected to the brutal gang war, sparked by a stash of stolen cocaine, which has been plaguing the central belt. Multiple properties have been firebombed, and homes shot at, in the wave of violence which first broke out in March this year.
