MARTIN COUNTY — The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is conducting a prescribed burn June 6 at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, according to state officials.
The scheduled burn will last until 5 p.m. and consists of up to 105 acres of pine flatwoods near Southeast Kitchen Creek Road, located east of Interstate 95 and south of Southeast Bridge Road, according to Robin Rossmanith, a DEP spokesperson.
Rossmanith said northwest portion of the red trails and the horse trails will be temporarily closed because of the burn.
