John Stamos, who has often toured with The Beach Boys and has been performing with the band on their 2025 Sounds of Summer tour, also shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute on June 11.
"Brian Wilson didn't just soundtrack my life…he filled it with color, with wonder, with some of the most unforgettable, emotional, joyful moments I've ever known," the Full House alum, 61, began. "It's hard to put into words what it meant to stand beside him, laugh with him, play his music with him."
Stamos, who shared a photo of him with Brian, noted that the late musician was more than a "musical genius, he was a gentle, soulful, funny, complex, beautiful man."
"He heard things no one else could hear. He felt things deeper than most of us ever will. And somehow, he turned all of that into music that wrapped itself around the world and made us all feel less alone," he wrote.
Stamos continued: "I grew up worshipping the Beach Boys, never imagining one day I'd get to play with them, let alone call Brian a friend. Brian gave the world Pet Sounds, God Only Knows, and Wouldn't It Be Nice. Songs that didn't just play in the background of our lives, they shaped who we were. They shaped who I became."
Stamos also wrote that his "heart" is with Brian's family members.
"Brian once said, 'Music is God's voice.' I believe he was right, and now that voice, his voice, is part of the divine chorus. The music didn't end. Rest easy, Brian. Thank you for the music. Thank you for the moments. I'll carry them with me -forever," he concluded.

Todd Chrisley breaks social media silence after 2 years: Here's what he said

Todd Chrisley breaks social media silence after 2 years: Here's what he said Show Caption Hide Caption Todd Chrisley speaks after Trump pardon, release from prison Reality TV star Todd Chrisley made his first public statement after he and his wife Julie received a pardon from President Donald Trump. Todd Chrisley has broken his social media silence for the first time since he went to prison for bank fraud and tax evasion. On June 12, the 56-year-old "Chrisley Knows Best" star took to Instagram to celebrate one of his children's achievements. Youngest son Grayson Chrisley, 19, made the dean's list after his first semester at the University of Alabama. "God is good all the time, @graysonchrisley," Todd captioned his post. "I love you to the moon and back and we couldn't be more proud, you have shown great character and fortitude and stood with your lord and savior amidst the fire and came out the other side never smelling of smoke, you are proof of (God's) word." The caption continued, "Stand tall, stand true and stand for your fellow brothers in Christ. I love you Gray Gray." More than 14,000 undergraduate students who earned a GPA of at least 3.5 made UA's dean's list in the spring semester; those who earn a 4.0 end up on the president's list. Fall semester enrollment totaled around 34,000 students, with spring enrollment numbers not yet released. Where does Grayson Chrisley go to college? Older sister Savannah Chrisley, 27, announced Grayson was moving to college in January. She shared clips from move-in day, captioning the post, "And just like that… my baby brother is off to college. Moving Grayson into the University of Alabama this weekend has been one of the hardest and most beautiful moments of my life. The past two years, Gray had every reason to give up, but instead, he showed up for himself and for the people he loves." Savannah continued, "We've never been apart… ever. And my heart feels like it's shattered into a million pieces. But my overwhelming sadness is matched only by the pride I feel watching him chase his dreams." What happened to Julie and Todd Chrisley? Todd's post came more than two weeks after he was released from FPC Pensacola in Florida, where he'd served more than two years of his nine-year prison sentence, following a full pardon from President Trump. When asked during a May 30 press conference whether he had any remorse for the crimes for which he was convicted, Todd said, "I'd have remorse if it was something that I did." In June 2022, Todd and wife Julie Chrisley, who portrayed themselves as real estate tycoons in the South on their USA Network shows, were found guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks in Atlanta out of more than $36 million. The pair was accused of running a scheme that, through fraudulent loans, defrauded the IRS and committed tax evasion. Julie Chrisley was additionally convicted of obstruction of justice and wire fraud. Trump pardons reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley President Trump called Savannah Chrisley from the Oval Office in the White House to tell her he wanted to pardon her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley. Todd Chrisley was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie Chrisley received a seven-year sentence, and both reported to their respective federal prisons in January 2023. On May 27, Trump called the Chrisleys' middle daughter, Savannah Chrisley, to let her know her parents were "going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow." When Savannah took the podium at the May 30 press conference, she announced that the "Chrisley Knows Best" stars would be returning to reality television. Filming has apparently already begun on a new show that will document the reunification of Todd and Julie Chrisley.

Living Colour opens 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame to honor new inductee George Clinton

Updated [hour]:[minute] [AMPM] [timezone], [monthFull] [day], [year] NEW YORK (AP) — The funk rock group Living Colour opened an energetic 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Thursday night with a cover of Funkadelic's 'Cosmic Slop' to honor new inductee George Clinton. It set the tone for an event with a lot to celebrate, and even more to remember. Just one day after it was announced that the inimitable Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys had died, his bandmate Mike Love will be inducted into the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame. The gala, held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City Thursday night, also features inductees spanning genre, an inspiring mix of funk, rock, R&B, country and beyond: The Doobie Brothers, Ashley Gorley, Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins and Tony Macaulay. Is there funk without George Clinton? Is there groove? From Parliament/Funkadelic to his solo work, Clinton is an innovator of American popular music — a long-overdue inductee heard on timeless hits (like 'Atomic Dog' and 'Give Up The Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)' but also across the songs of Kendrick Lamar, Tupac, OutKast, Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, De La Soul and beyond. Previously, Clinton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. He received a lifetime achievement award at the Grammys in 2019. The Doobie Brothers — the inducted members are Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald and Patrick Simmons — are known the world over for their rootsy rock 'n' roll, particularly for their No. 1 hits 'What A Fool Believes' and 'Black Water.' They went into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Ashley Gorley is an unmistakable name in the world of country music. Groundbreaking producer Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, whose touch is heard across countless R&B and pop hits, and legendary English songwriter Tony Macaulay, known for such classics as The Foundations' 'Build Me Up Buttercup' and 'Baby Now That I've Found You.' Last year's inductees included Steely Dan, R.E.M., Timbaland, Hillary Lindsey and Dean Pitchford. At the induction ceremony last summer, R.E.M. stunned attendees by reuniting for an acoustic version of their alt-rock hit, 'Losing My Religion.' The Songwriters Hall of Fame was established in 1969 to honor those creating popular music. A songwriter with a notable catalog of songs qualifies for induction 20 years after the first commercial release of a song. Some already in the hall include Gloria Estefan, Carole King, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Brian Wilson, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Lionel Richie, Bill Withers, Neil Diamond and Phil Collins.

Mike Love and John Stamos pay tribute to Beach Boys' Brian Wilson

Updated [hour]:[minute] [AMPM] [timezone], [monthFull] [day], [year] NEW YORK (AP) — Mike Love is looking back fondly on Brian Wilson, his cousin and Beach Boys collaborator who died Wednesday at 82. 'It's a tough one,' Love told The Associated Press Thursday. 'Life ends for all of us, but he had a wonderful life in terms of how creative he was, and I had a great time cocreating with him, so we have a lot to be, you know, we have a lot of blessings.' Love is being inducted Thursday night into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, which welcomed Wilson in 2000. He will be introduced by actor and musician John Stamos, who has collaborated with the Beach Boys in recent years and is appearing at select dates on their tour, which resumes Friday in New York. 'I cut together a really beautiful video of Mike and Brian doing the song that Brian, Mike wrote called, 'Brian's Back.' And I'd like to show that with his permission at the front of the show,' Stamos said. 'I think it'll start off, but it's gonna be very difficult, I would think emotionally to get through it.' He added of his admiration for Wilson and the band: 'Without the Beach Boys, life would be a mistake. And that's that.' 'It's in the better late than never category, but I feel my cousin's presence tonight very strongly,' Love told the AP of his inclusion in Songwriters Hall of Fame. 'You know, we did it together, and so that part's inseparable, and we always had a great love for each other. So it's really nice to be honored, though, and recognized for my contribution to the Beach Boys music.' Love and Wilson wrote the Beach Boys' first hit, 'Surfin',' in 1961. The pair feuded over songwriting credits for Love, who successfully sued, contending he was deprived songwriting credits on dozens of songs. 'This is a songwriter's songwriter,' Stamos said of Love before the ceremony: 'He painted this cinematic view of California that made the whole world wanna be us because of him. Optimism, positivity, good vibes.' Stamos added: 'Brian was a genius, but Mike was a little bit underrated because of ... you know, Brian's big genius.' Love said he enjoys witnessing the joy the Beach Boys music brings to fans on tour. 'It's wonderful because you see the audience response and people 60 years after we started are loving our music and that's really a wonderful thing. You see how much joy, not only in America but around the world, that our songs have created with people. So it's a fantastic thing,' he said,
