Trump warns of 'much larger' attacks if Iran fails to make peace
US President Donald Trump stated that the American strikes against Iran achieved 'tremendous military success,' and called on Iran to 'make peace.'
Speaking at a press conference, Trump added that the Pentagon would hold its own conference to discuss the attacks carried out today on nuclear facilities in Iran.
He warned that future attacks would be 'much larger' if Iran does not make peace.
US enters conflict
The US has entered the conflict with Iran, with President Donald Trump announcing in the early hours of this Sunday morning that attacks had been carried out against three Iranian nuclear sites.
'We executed our highly successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan,' he announced, adding, 'All aircraft are now out of Iranian airspace.'
'A full payload of bombs was released on the primary site (Fordow), and all aircraft are safely en route home. Congratulations to our great American warriors; no other military in the world possesses such capability.'
In Iran's initial reaction to the strikes, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated via X (formerly Twitter): 'Iran reserves all options to defend itself following American attacks on its nuclear facilities.'
He added that the US, as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, 'Has committed a grave violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) by attacking peaceful nuclear facilities in Iran.'
Araqchi concluded: 'In accordance with the United Nations Charter and its provisions allowing for legitimate response in self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.'

Egypt, Jordan warn against descending the region into greater chaos

The ministers discussed the rapidly escalating situation in the region, particularly the military tensions between Israel and Iran and the serious threat they pose to regional peace and security. Minister Abdelatty underscored the urgent need for de-escalation and a ceasefire, stressing that political and diplomatic solutions remain the only viable path to prevent a broader conflict that could endanger the stability of the region. Both ministers emphasized the importance of calm, self-restraint, and constructive dialogue to avoid further deterioration. They reaffirmed their rejection of any violations of the UN Charter or international law and underscored the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states. They also warned of the grave risks of the region descending into greater chaos and instability amid the current tensions. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that American aircraft had conducted heavy airstrikes on several Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. 'A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow,' Trump said. In response, Iran attacked Ben Gurion Airport, the system's biological research center, and alternative command and control centers. Tehran added that it used guided missiles, capable of maneuvering the warhead at the moment of landing, and guiding until the moment of impact, and equipped with highly explosive and destructive warheads of various types. Since the outbreak of the war between Iran and Israel on June 13, Egypt has exerted tremendous diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict in which hundreds of people were killed and thousands were injured. The war started when Israel, which has nuclear weapon and not a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), launched missile and drones towards Tehran and killed hundreds of nuclear scientists, military leaders and civilians to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon. Israeli missiles and drones have targeted several nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, Arak and Fordow, causing a minor level of radiation leakage in Natanz as it was reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Israel, which is totally backed by the US, seeks to be the only country in the region that has nuclear weapons. In retaliation, Iran fired hundreds hypersonic missiles and drones on Israel, causing severe damage to buildings besides the Weizmann Institute of Science, Haifa refinery, and the Gav-Yam Negev Advanced Technologies Park.

A massive explosion heard in Bushehr province in southwestern Iran: Iranian media - Region
Iranian media reported that a "massive explosion was heard" in Bushehr province, home to Iran's only nuclear power plant, hours after the US bombed nuclear sites across the country. Bushehr lies on the Iranian side of the Persian Gulf, opposite Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia on the other side. Bushehr province is home to Iran's only nuclear power plant, which is run with Russian assistance. The Iranian Shargh newspaper reported the blast, while the Fars news agency said two locations in the city were attacked by Israel. It is not clear who launched an attack or where.
