5 low-maintenance dog breeds for busy professionals
But the good news is that some breeds are perfectly suited for low-fuss living. They're independent, easy to groom, and content with moderate exercise-- which makes them ideal pets for people with busy schedules. So, here we list some such low-maintenance dog breeds that fit well into a busy lifestyle without compromising on companionship:
French Bulldogs are small and affectionate pet dog breeds with big personalities.
They like lounging around for most of the day which makes them a great companion for apartment dwellers and busy professionals. These dogs have short coats, and so they need minimal grooming—an occasional brushing and a quick wipe of the facial folds is usually enough. They don't need long walks or excessive playtime, making them ideal for busy people who would like to have a pet dog.
Frenchies are people-oriented but not clingy, so they're fine entertaining themselves while you're away at work.

Tiny but confident, Chihuahuas are one of the easiest dogs to manage in terms of size and space. They are small but are known to be full of personality. They don't need much exercise and grooming, and are known to form strong bonds with their owners-- which makes them a great pet dog choice for people with busy schedules.

They have short coats that rarely shed and require minimal grooming. Greyhounds are gentle, quiet, and well-mannered, making them perfect for professionals looking for a calm, low-maintenance dog.
Shih Tzus are cute, affectionate, small dogs for those living in apartments and have a busy schedule. Also, while they love human company, they aren't overly demanding and this makes them an ideal choice for busy people.

Micro review: It's Okay.. By Jaya Kishori
credit: toi lifestyle desk Spiritual and Motivational speaker Jaya Kishori recently came out with her book titled It's Okay. Aimed at helping people navigate difficult situations in life, Jaya insists that the title of the book came from her personal experience. 'The theme of this book arose from my experience with young college going kids. When I do my sessions with them, I speak to them about their problems and the pressures they are facing. While that can confuse them a lot, they cover it under the garb of phrases like 'just chill' and 'it's okay', and that intrigued me,' she says. Jaya admits that she had been wanting to write a book for the last five years and the message of this one connected with her on every level. 'The message of the book is that no matter how bad or good the situation in your life is, you should be able to differentiate when you should say to it 'it's okay' and when not. You need to acknowledge the situation, face it and then eventually you reach its solution. The book iterates that the way you handle a problem is the way you solve it too,' she shares. It's Okay is a blend of both Jaya's personal experiences and spiritual teachings. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Remember Him Wait Till You See Him Now Daily Sport X Undo 'There is also a third aspect, which is the stories I heard growing up from my parents and grandparents as those stories shaped me up,' she says, adding that writing was a challenging task for her emotionally, creatively and spiritually as she wrote many drafts for it, and going back to the drawing board every time did take its toll. But she followed the teachings of her own book to find peace. Ask her who is her target audience for this book and she shares, 'Anyone seeking inner peace, or whoever is struggling with emotions is my target audience for this book. But primarily, it is aimed for the youth as the generation today is confused a lot due to over exposure. They need help to navigate through those confusions and this is what I aim to do with this book.' She adds, 'Once done reading this book, I hope they feel peaceful and find a calmness in life. I hope they are able to face any situation and feel okay about it.' Extracted with permission from "Its okay" by Jaya Kishori, published under India penguin amanda publications.
