Trio of Duke basketball prospects earn NBA draft superlatives
The 2025 NBA draft is nearly here, and several Duke Blue Devils will hear their name called as they make the jump to the professional ranks. Cooper Flagg isn't their only top prospect, as Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach are also elite prospects.
ESPN's Jeremy Woo recently came up with 20 superlatives for the class, and all three Blue Devils were named. They were the only school with three players winning a superlative.
Up first for Duke was Knueppel, whom he labelled as the "best spot-up shooter." Knueppel showed his impressive shooting ability throughout his freshman season, making 40.6% of his three-pointers on 5.3 attempts per game. That shooting is why he is expected to be a top 10 pick and immediately help an offense space the floor.
Flagg, Woo's No. 1 overall prospect, was named the "best competitor." According to Woo, competitiveness is the "special quality" that allows Flagg to separate himself from the rest of the players in his class. Flagg repeatedly showed his fire throughout the season as he led Duke to the Final Four and led them in every major offensive category.
Woo believes that Maluach has the "best intangibles" of the class and that his "character" has allowed him to go from a "project into a top prospect in a short period of time." Maluach is expected to be among the first centers taken in the draft after averaging 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks last season. At 7-foot-2, he is an excellent shot blocker and will immediately help a team's defense.

5-star Oregon Football target teases major news
5-star Oregon Football target teases major news The Oregon Ducks could be getting some major recruiting news in the near future. On Friday morning, 5-star cornerback Brandon Arrington, one of the top prospects on Oregon's recruiting board, took to social media to tease some "big news" coming soon. This comes just days after taking an official visit to see the Alabama Crimson Tide, and a week after taking is OV to Eugene to see the Ducks. Arrington stands at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 10 player in the 2026 class and the No. 1 ATH. From Spring Valley, California, Oregon has been recruiting him heavily for a long time now and is projected as one of the favorites to land him. There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Arrington on 247Sports, but the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Texas A&M Aggies as the heavy favorite to land the 5-star player, with Steve Wiltfong logging a prediction all the way back in October of 2024. We will see what Arrington's "big news" is at some point this week, but there should be some confidence among Oregon fans that it is positive for the Ducks. NBA all-star says he ‘doesn't believe in history' before 1950 or the moon landing
Heat star Tyler Herro may be a sharpshooter on the basketball court, but he was way off the mark with his latest take. The Miami swingman said on a recent livestream that he 'doesn't believe in history' before the year 1950 and also several events after. Herro was appearing on a Twitch stream with Adin Ross and N3on last week when the all-star was asked if hoops legend Wilt Chamberlain would be a top player in the NBA today. 'I don't even know what Wilt looked like, played like,' Herro admitted. Ross then asked Herro if he believed that Chamberlain 'dropped 100' during a game in March 1962 while playing for the Philadelphia Warriors. While Herro responded 'yeah,' it got something stirring inside him and the former first-round pick then asked the streamer if he believed in history. 'You think history is a real thing?' Herro asked, to which Ross confidently replied 'yeah.' 'Nah, I don't believe in history,' Herro said to the surprise of the streamers. 'No, I'm deadass.' The pair, who clearly were taken aback by the revelation, asked Herro if he believed things that happened 200 years ago. 'Hell no,' he replied. 'What about the moon landing?' N3on asked. 'Nah, I don't believe in that. I don't believe in anything that happened before 1950,' Herro said, leaving the Ross and N3on speechless as they processed what was said. 'Have we been f***ing bamboozled?' N3on joked before they tried to dig deeper into Herro's belief — or lack thereof. The hosts then probed Herro, asking him if he believed in the flat Earth theory before getting back to historical events. 'For real, like, how do we know? When did he come to the land or whatever?' Herro asked. 'They said 1492?' Desmond Bane move was right for Magic, but Kevin Durant trade would be wrong for Raptors Pacers, like Panthers, might have big regrets about blowing Game 4 of finals N3on quipped that there's 'no way of really knowing,' to which Herro shrugged his shoulders in agreement. After fans responded in the chat that Herro had 'never read a book,' the Heat star responded by essentially confirming the statement. 'See, y'all believe that s***,' he said of the chat comments. 'I don't believe that s***! I never read that s*** in school.' Herro's statement quickly went viral, with many fans questioning if he truly didn't believe in historical events, or if he was just joking on the stream.

4-Star running back DeZephen Walker commits to Oklahoma Sooners
4-Star running back DeZephen Walker commits to Oklahoma Sooners Though it was a lighter weekend in terms of the number of prospects in Norman for official visits, the Oklahoma Sooners continue to move the needle with recruits in the 2026 recruiting class. The Sooners hosted four-star running back DeZephen Walker over the weekend, and on Monday, the blue-chip prospect out of Missouri committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. Walker is considered the No. 17 running back in the 2026 cycle according to 247Sports and No. 18 according to Rivals. He's a consensus top-five player out of the state of Missouri and has 26 Power Four offers, including nine SEC offers. Walker is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back and is a big-play threat every time he touches the football. He displays great patience and vision after receiving the handoff. He does a really good job at setting up his blocks and then bursting through the hole. Walker has the speed to run away from the defense and fantastic lateral agility to make defenders miss in the open field. He can run between the tackles and has the speed to take the ball off tackle on stretch plays. Walker is able to run through arm tackles and falls forward when tackled. He also displays soft hands that will make him a threat in the passing game. Walker is the Sooners' 11th commitment in the 2026 cycle and the only running back currently committed to the class.
