4-Star running back DeZephen Walker commits to Oklahoma Sooners
Though it was a lighter weekend in terms of the number of prospects in Norman for official visits, the Oklahoma Sooners continue to move the needle with recruits in the 2026 recruiting class. The Sooners hosted four-star running back DeZephen Walker over the weekend, and on Monday, the blue-chip prospect out of Missouri committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.
Walker is considered the No. 17 running back in the 2026 cycle according to 247Sports and No. 18 according to Rivals. He's a consensus top-five player out of the state of Missouri and has 26 Power Four offers, including nine SEC offers.
Walker is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back and is a big-play threat every time he touches the football. He displays great patience and vision after receiving the handoff. He does a really good job at setting up his blocks and then bursting through the hole. Walker has the speed to run away from the defense and fantastic lateral agility to make defenders miss in the open field. He can run between the tackles and has the speed to take the ball off tackle on stretch plays. Walker is able to run through arm tackles and falls forward when tackled. He also displays soft hands that will make him a threat in the passing game.
Walker is the Sooners' 11th commitment in the 2026 cycle and the only running back currently committed to the class.

Oregon football picks up prediction to land fast-rising QB in 2026 class

Oregon football picks up prediction to land fast-rising QB in 2026 class Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are gearing up for what looks like an eventful summer of recruiting, with a potential hot streak not far off. With a number of 5-star and blue-chip prospects on campus this month for official visits, Oregon is in line to boost its 2026 class majorly. On Monday, they saw a prediction come in for them to get a valuable member of the class, too — fast-rising quarterback prospect Bryson Beaver. Few players in the nation have had as busy of a week in the recruiting world as Beaver, who was committed to the Boise State Broncos as a 3-star less than a week ago. However, Oregon offered him last week, and he has since seen his rating bump up to a 4-star on On3, received offers from a pair of SEC schools, and taken visits to the Ole Miss Rebels and Alabama Crimson Tide. It came out on Monday that Beaver was taking an official visit to Oregon this coming weekend, and 247Sports recruiting analyst Blair Angulo also logged a Crystal Ball prediction for Beaver to commit to the Ducks. Beaver's rating on 247Sports is far below where On3 has him, leading to some debate about where he currently stands in the recruiting world. While On3 rates Beaver as a 4-star prospect and the No. 19 QB in the 2026 class, 247Sports has him as a 3-star and the No. 71 QB in the class. Regardless of what the ratings say, Oregon is obviously intrigued by what Beaver brings to the table, and they want him as a member of their 2026 class. The Ducks are also in on 5-star QB Ryder Lyons, who took an official to Eugene last weekend. Lyons is going to decide between Oregon and the BYU Cougars in the near future, but he is planning to take an LDS mission out of high school, so he is more like a member of the 2027 class. Former MSU QB calls out Big Ten rankings that snubbed Aidan Chiles

Former MSU QB calls out Big Ten rankings that snubbed Aidan Chiles Popular college football analyst for CBS Sports Josh Pate released his top 10 quarterbacks of the Big Ten, and a former Spartans signal caller had an issue with the list. Pate's top 10 quarterbacks list for the upcoming season left off Michigan State's Aidan Chiles -- which initially grabbed my attention as surprising to see. It also was alarming to former Michigan State starting quarterback Brian Lewerke -- who took to social media platform X to call out Pate. Lewerke called out Pate's list as "not very good" and noted that his feedback wasn't just because of Chiles being snubbed. You can see Lewerke's response and Pate's top 10 list in the post below: As I said above, I also was not a fan of this rankings from Pate. In my opinion, Chiles ranks as at top 10 quarterback in the league, with the potential to be a top five quarterback should he approach his ceiling. Last year, Chiles showed inconsistency but as a first year starter that was expected from him. Ironically, Nebraska's Dylan Raiola had comparable numbers to Chiles and he was ranked as the No. 6 quarterback in Pate's list while Chiles was left off. These type of lists are not ultimately a big deal and just used for fun offseason discussion. But I enjoyed seeing a former Spartans quarterback looking out for the current guy wearing green-and-white under center. Notre Dame visited by the sons of three former NFL players

Notre Dame visited by the sons of three former NFL players Fighting Irish could be home to Devin Fitzgerald, Kaydon Finley. Thomas Davis Jr. has already committed However your Father's Day weekend went, it probably looked different than what took place on the Notre Dame campus. The sons of three former NFL players were in South Bend visiting with the Fighting Irish. Wide receivers Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley joined Notre Dame commit Thomas Davis Jr. on campus. Fitzgerald and Finley are four-star recruits. Devin, of course, is the son of Larry Fitzgerald, who played for the Arizona Cardinals for 17 seasons. Finley is the son of Jermichael Finley, a tight end who played six years in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers. The senior Davis played 15 seasons over 16 years in the NFL -- he missed the 2010 campaign due to injury. He was with the Carolina Panthers for most of that time, but he also played with the Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Football Team (now Washington Commanders). Perhaps Davis Jr. can convince Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley to join him in South Bend.
