Did Caitlin Clark have WNBA All-Star bet with Napheesa Collier? Shot for 4-point shots. That's 20
Who was the best with? Caitlin Clark.
What we know:
Yes, Team Collier captain Napheesa Collier and Williams said the bet with Team Clark was with none other than captain Caitlin Clark herself.
Clark agreed to drink a shot for every 4-point shot that was made in the game, according to Collier. That's 20 shots — 12 for Team Collier and 8 for Team Clark. It's unclear what kind of shots they would be.
Needless to say, Collier and Williams have no intention of holding Clark to the bet.

Mercury's Kahleah Copper slams 'distasteful' Fever fans for booing DeWanna Bonner
The Phoenix Mercury's DeWanna Bonner made her return to the Indiana Fever on July 30 after being waived by the team on June 25 after it couldn't find a trade partner for her. Fever fans apparently don't have fond memories of her short tenure in Indiana. They booed Bonner relentlessly during the Fever's 107-101 win over Phoenix, with some fans also talking trash to the WNBA player and yelling out "quitter," according to the Indianapolis Star. The treatment of Bonner did not sit well with the Mercury's Kahleah Copper, who slammed the Fever fans for their "distasteful" behavior toward her teammate after the game. More: Phoenix Mercury's losing streak against Indiana Fever extends to 6 games Kahleah Copper calls out 'distasteful' Indiana Fever fans 'I just don't understand,' Copper told reporters about the fans' behavior toward Bonner. 'She a legend and just all the things she's done for the league. Just the disrespect, I can't get down with it. They booed her. She didn't say a word to the crowd. People talk some trash to her, but we had her back. 'It's just very distasteful for what their fan base is doing as far as when it comes to [Bonner] because she's just sweet or so. The situation didn't work for her. That's just not what she wanted or whatever, but we don't need all of that. It's just unnecessary.' DeWanna Bonner on Fever: 'The fit did not work out' Indiana signed Bonner in the offseason, but she requested a trade after just nine games with the team. After being away from the team for five games for personal reasons, the Fever released her and Bonner signed with the Mercury, where she began her NBA career. 'I want to sincerely thank the Indiana Fever for the opportunity to be part of the Fever franchise," Bonner said in a news release upon her release from the team. "Despite our shared goals and excitement heading into the season, I felt the fit did not work out and I appreciate the organization's willingness to grant my request to move on, particularly at this point in my career. I wish the Fever great success as they continue to build around this dynamic group of young players.' Some Indiana fans harbor ill feelings toward Bonner, based on their treatment of her during the game. Alyssa Thomas, Bonner's teammate and fiancée, was seen at one point yelling at some people in the crowd, presumably over the treatment of Bonner. What Nate Tibbetts said about Fever fans' treatment of DeWanna Bonner Mercury coach Nate Tibbetts had a much more guarded reaction to Bonner's reception than Copper and other Mercury players. "I didn't see that, (but) I would guess so. AT (Alyssa Thomas) is a competitive player. Just like their players talk to their fans, our players are going to do the same," Tibbetts told reporters after the game. "I thought (Bonner) handled it fine. That's how sports work, you go to a former home of yours when you don't leave on your terms and typically fans aren't going to be happy. That's what they did tonight." Kyle Schwarber will defer his Indiana University Hall of Fame selection because of attendance rule
Associated Press BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — All-Star Game MVP Kyle Schwarber is deferring his selection to Indiana University's Athletics Hall of Fame to a future year because of a rule requiring all living inductees to attend the ceremony. Indiana's induction is set for Sept. 5, a day Schwarber's Philadelphia Phillies visit the Miami Marlins as they attempt to win their second straight NL East title. Schwarber was selected in his first year of eligibility. Indiana's athletic department announced the selections on Thursday. Schwarber was one of the school's biggest baseball stars, leading the Hoosiers to two Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles while ranking among career leaders in hits (238), home turns (40), runs (182) and slugging percentage (.607) while batting .341. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2014, made his major league debut the following June and helped the Cubs win the World Series in 2016. This season, the 32-year-old Schwarber ranks among the major league leaders with 37 home runs. He hit home runs on all three of his swings in the first All-Star Game swing-off to give the National League a victory over the American League. The three-time All-Star has 321 home runs and 738 RBIs in 11 seasons with the Cubs, Washington Nationals, Boston Red Sox and Phillies. Schwarber was the headliner of Indiana's seven-member Hall of Fame class. The other selections are Cody Zeller, who has spent the last 11 seasons playing in the NBA, All-American rower Meradith Dickensheets, 2008 NCAA wrestling champion Angel Escobedo, former football star Mel Groomes, five-time track and field All-American Glenn Terry and Peggy Martin, a pioneering three-sport star in field hockey, women's basketball and softball from 1969-72. ___ AP MLB: recommended Item 1 of 3

Astros Reportedly Continue Push for All-Star Infielder Carlos Correa
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Houston Astros apparently still are pushing hard for a reunion with All-Star infielder Carlos Correa. According to Chandler Rome and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Astros know they want to bring back Correa with Isaac Paredes sidelined for the remainder of the season. "Even after acquiring Ramón Urías from the Baltimore Orioles, the Astros remain interested in upgrading their lineup, according to sources briefed on their plans," they wrote. "One option is still a reunion with Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa, who is guaranteed $96 million through the next three seasons and would have to waive his no-trade clause." DENVER, CO - JULY 19: Carlos Correa #4 of the Minnesota Twins hit an RBI double in the second inning against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on July 19, 2025 in Denver, Colorado. DENVER, CO - JULY 19: Carlos Correa #4 of the Minnesota Twins hit an RBI double in the second inning against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on July 19, 2025 in Denver, has gone on the record recently admitting he either wants to remain in Minnesota or be traded to Houston; he won't waive his no-trade clause for any other team even though a return to the Astros means playing third base. Astros players reportedly want to bring him back as well. "Correa told reporters on Wednesday night that talks with the Astros were 'not something that I think is serious right now' and sources from both teams downplayed the likelihood of a trade," they wrote. "Talks, however, remain ongoing." If the Astros are going to add an impactful bat, a reunion with Correa makes the most sense. Just because Correa downplayed the trade Wednesday night doesn't mean it won't happen. Trades can develop extremely fast this time of year, and it's likely Houston will try to make a deal happen to fill the void at the hot corner.
