A high 86.57 per cent out of 9,69,425 candidates passed this year's Class 10 Madhaymik examination, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education announced on Friday morning.Purba Medinipur, Kalimpong and Kolkata were among the top three districts with the highest percentage of successful candidates, WBBSE president Ramanuj Ganguly told reporters here.Sixty-six candidates feature among the top 10. While Biswas is a student of Vivekananda Vidyamandir of Malda, Pal studied at Bishnupur High School in Bankura.With 693 marks, Ishani Chakraborty of Kotulpur Sarojbasini School, Bankura, occupied the third spot, the WBBSE said.She emerged the topper among female candidates in this year's secondary exams.When approached by reporters, Adrit said he studied eight-nine hours a day while preparing for the exam.I studied whenever I liked; may be eight-nine hours in a day on an average," he said, flanked by his beaming parents.Adrit said he is keen to pursue medical science in future after Class 12.The Class 10 board exams were held from February 10 to 22.

Candidates who appeared for the MAH CET can now check their round 2 seat allotment status on the official website at The allotment results include both candidate-wise and institute-wise details. Students who have been allotted seats in the MAH LLB 5-year CAP 2025 round 2 must report to their respective colleges by August 19 to confirm their admission. Those willing to participate in the third round are required to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000. Reporting within the given timeline is essential for seat confirmation and further participation in the admission process. Important government guidelines and candidate eligibility for round 2 Several government notifications govern the CAP 5-year LLB admission process, including Government Extraordinary Gazettes dated May 2017, June 2019, August 2020, and June 2023. Kolkata: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has allowed parents of children with special needs to sign on behalf of their wards, who have writing disabilities. The board issued a notification to implement the system from this year while Class IX registration is underway. Board president Ramanuj Ganguly said, "In the absence of a clear instruction for candidates with special needs, the fields, meant for students' signatures, used to be left blank in the registration forms for such students. We are changing it from this year so that their documents can be legally verified and their forms don't go without a signature."
