The Kansas City Chiefs held their Media Day on June 18, 2025. Fans and reporters were ready to view their favorite stars. The room was full of cameras, reporters and excited players.
But something different happened — something that wasn't wordy and had limited speech. Even Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback for the Kansas Coty Chiefs, didn't have to say much. A short moment during the event got everyone talking. It was one of those scenes where people just knew who the leader was, without him needing to prove anything.
Patrick Mahomes quietly shows his place at the top during Kansas City Chiefs media day
The Media Day took place in Kansas City at the Kansas City Chiefs' practice facility.
Reporters asked many questions to players ahead of the 2025 NFL season. But one moment stood out. When new wide receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown was asked who he thinks is the best quarterback right now, his answer was fast. 'Patrick Mahomes,' he said, without a second thought.
What made it even more special was Patrick Mahomes' reaction. He didn't turn or speak. He just smiled. That smile said everything. Marquise Hollywood Brown has played with other top names like Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray.

So for him to call Patrick Mahomes the best made the room silent for a second.
The moment quickly spread on social media. Fans called it 'cold' and 'boss-like.' It wasn't show-off behavior. It felt natural, like Patrick Mahomes is already used to this kind of respect.
Travis Kelce
and
Taylor Swift
also grab attention with future hints
While Mahomes was quietly showing why he's the leader, his teammate Travis Kelce made news in another way. At the same event somewhat playfully, Travis Kelce teased that he and pop singer Taylor Swift may be "thinking about kids" as soon as their thoughts appear.
After a person made an offhand comment about him being a dad, Travis Kelce smiled and replied, "We will see what happens." This was just a day after his brother, Jason Kelce, made a joking comment in a podcast, "God help those children.'Still, Travis Krlce seemed unfazed.
His calm answer, like Patrick Mahomes' smile, said more than a long speech ever could. Both stars reminded everyone that actions — and reactions — speak loudest.

Ex-NFL player Ramzee Robinson sues Chiefs for wrongful termination, racial discrimination
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A former NFL defensive back is suing the Kansas City Chiefs for wrongful termination from his job as director of player engagement after accusing the franchise of discriminating against him because he is Black. Ramzee Robinson, who spent nine years with the Chiefs, filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri on Sunday. In the lawsuit, Robinson claims that he was called into a meeting in February and accused of attacking a female co-worker, and that Chiefs refused to show him security video of the encounter. Robinson ultimately was fired from his position, which involved locker room management, mentorship and other responsibilities within the team. The lawsuit claims that Robinson was paid a salary of $125,000 by the Chiefs, but that his research found other NFL teams paid comparable positions an average salary of $171,932, not including other benefits. It also claims that "the Chiefs paid African-American business employees less than their white counterparts.' Chiefs spokesman Brad Gee told The Associated Press on Wednesday that while he could not comment on pending legal matters, 'to be clear, the Chiefs do not tolerate discrimination of any kind." 'We look forward to the facts of this case coming to light,' Gee said. The 41-year-old Robinson was the final player chosen in the 2007 draft by Detroit. He played in 19 games over two seasons for the Lions, then appeared in three games for Philadelphia and four for Cleveland in 2009. He never played for the Chiefs. /hub/nfl

Surrendered Maoists watch film on their lives in Gadchiroli's first AC theatre
Nagpur: A group of surrendered Maoists ventured out of their camps on Tuesday to witness a matinee show on their lives on the silver screen, hoping for a better ending in real life. A special show of the Marathi movie 'Ghaath', based on left-wing extremism, which was screened at the Berlin Film Festival in 2023, was held at Gadchiroli's first-ever air-conditioned theatre on Tuesday. Ghaath's director and cast, who also attended, approached the families in the camp where the surrendered rebels live under police protection. "They came along with their families, and it was a surprise for them. They were not told beforehand that a movie based on Maoists was being screened," said Chhatrapal Ninawe, the film's director. A group of surrendered Maoists and their families and friends came for the show, says the filmmaker. Ninawe says the reactions from the former rebels were the biggest critical appraisal for him. "The movie tries to show the lives of Maoists in all its shades. It has everything; internal dissent between groups, drifting away from idealism, and disillusionment of the cadre. The real Maoists agreed that the story was a true depiction, except that they wanted an optimistic end," says Ninawe. The movie has a dark end; the main character, who is a surrendered Maoist, dies. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Clonroosk: We Need People to Try Latest High-Tech Hearing Aids - Free Learn More Undo The real-life former rebels said the ending should have depicted him moving towards a better life, he said. Ninawe and the cast, Amit Shende and Dhananjay Mandokar, interacted with the former Naxals after the show. "Looking ahead for better times, many said they live in dire financial conditions and there is a constant threat of being hunted down by their former comrades," said Ninawe. The movie was shot in Gondia and Bhandara districts, which border Gadchiroli and have similar landscape. Ninawe said he was always keen to know if the movie showed the true picture, and the former rebels vouched for it. They were approached at the camp in Gadchiroli, avoiding much interaction with the outer world. For many of the kids, it was the first experience of watching a movie on the big screen, he said. The Gadchiroli town got its first-ever air-conditioned theatre only last month. An inflated setup, it was built out of district development funds as part of efforts to bring small joys of mainstream life. The theatre is run under a public-private partnership by Picturetime Digital.
