Jefferson County teens charged after gun and dirt bike stolen, cars broken into
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two 16-year-olds are facing multiple charges after they allegedly broke into vehicles and stole multiple items.
According to the Brookville Police Department, several vehicles were broken into and reported to officers from May 6 to May 10. Victims reported that a firearm, money, passports, a designer purse, Apple products and ID were stolen in the break-ins.

During the investigation, officers also learned that a 2005 Honda 450R dirt bike was stolen. Police executed a search warrant on a residence in Brookville and recovered 'a majority' of the items that were reported stolen.
They noted that both the firearm and dirt bike were among the items they found. Police interviewed the two juveniles and filed charges in relation to the thefts.
Both have been charged in the Jefferson County Juvenile Court System and are facing charges of theft from a vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night, possession of a firearm by a minor, altering identification and discharging a firearm into a structure.

Jennings man arrested a month after parole release, charged with rape
JENNINGS, La. () — A Jennings man who was released from parole a month ago is accused of rape, authorities said. Tristan West, 44, of Jennings is charged with second-degree rape in connection with an incident on June 5. Jennings Police responded to a report of a rape in progress near the 1700 block of North Cary Street. The caller said the suspect was an unknown black male who was sexually assaulting one of the female residents of the home. According to investigators, the victim encountered West as he was walking in front of their residence. West asked to use the restroom as the victim and other occupants returned to their home. Officers said they discovered West pulling his pants up as they took him into custody. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. West was taken into custody and admitted to sexual act and was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish jail, authorities said. He is being held on $75,000 bond. Cameron Parish couple killed in house fire
CAMERON PARISH, La. (KLFY) — State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating a deadly fire in Southwest Louisiana that claimed the lives of a Cameron Parish couple. Early Monday morning, firefighters said they responded to a residential fire in the 300 block of North Island Road in Grand Chenier. A 54-year-old man and his 55-year-old wife were killed in the blaze. A smoke alarm awoke another resident of the home, allowing her to escape the fire unharmed, firefighter said. PD: Man on meth tried to burn someone's American flag in Elk County
SAINT MARYS, Pa. (WTAJ) — Saint Marys police said they arrested a man who was under the influence and tried to burn someone's American flag overnight. Kierre A. Dugger, 27, with a last known address in Bellefonte, was arrested in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 10, and charged with maliciously taking down a flag, loitering and profiling at night time, criminal mischief and public drunkenness. According to the criminal complaint, Saint Marys police were called to a home on Erie Avenue at around 2:19 a.m. after the homeowner called about someone on their porch trying to tear down flags, including an American flag, and lighting them on fire. The homeowner claimed to the police that Dugger tried lighting flags on fire, then began knocking on the windows of the home. When police arrived, they said Duggar came out to the sidewalk and was taken into custody. According to charging documents, Duggar admitted to police he was under the influence of both methamphetamine and alcohol. It was noted that police found a black lighter on the ground with the was arraigned Tuesday morning and placed in Elk County Prison with bail set at $5,000.
