Jefferson County teens charged after gun and dirt bike stolen, cars broken into
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two 16-year-olds are facing multiple charges after they allegedly broke into vehicles and stole multiple items.
According to the Brookville Police Department, several vehicles were broken into and reported to officers from May 6 to May 10. Victims reported that a firearm, money, passports, a designer purse, Apple products and ID were stolen in the break-ins.

During the investigation, officers also learned that a 2005 Honda 450R dirt bike was stolen. Police executed a search warrant on a residence in Brookville and recovered 'a majority' of the items that were reported stolen.
They noted that both the firearm and dirt bike were among the items they found. Police interviewed the two juveniles and filed charges in relation to the thefts.
Both have been charged in the Jefferson County Juvenile Court System and are facing charges of theft from a vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night, possession of a firearm by a minor, altering identification and discharging a firearm into a structure.
