An Airplane Pocket tray cover that slides seamlessly over an airplane tray to create an instant, deeply convenient hub — this comes with a number of pockets so you can keep track of all your devices, snacks, and other odds and ends without rooting around for them in the gross back pocket or your carry-on the whole flight. Bonus: This bb is an excellent way to prevent touching a germ-y tray, and it's fully machine washable.
A hands-free (rotating!) phone mount designed for use on all airlines — not only can you mount it to the tray table of an airplane seat, but to the arm of a chair or any flat surface, so you'll be able to stream content easy as pie wherever you roam. Reviewers have used it on everything from their car dashboards to carry-on handles to office desks to bedside tables.
A sleek, cleverly designed expandable hardside carry-on suitcase that stores flat when you're storing it at home or stashing it in a hotel room, but magically expands to accommodate your things when you're jetsetting. This even comes with a built-in TSA-approved lock and USB/USB-C charging port!
A newly-updated AirFly, a handy gadget you can use to connect your wireless headphones to the headphone jacks on flights so you can stream The Fault in Our Stars and bawl thousands of feet in the air again without dealing with the poor quality of the airline's headphones or shelling out $$ for them. Bonus: you can use these to connect to audio jacks on gym equipment and gaming devices, too!
A brand spanking new 2024 *mini* Kindle — it's faster, it's brighter, and more importantly, it's TEENSIER. The new size makes it easier to fit in the palm of your hand, easier to travel with, and a heck of a lot easier to pack in smaller clutches and purses when you're commuting. It's also glare-free and has a battery life that lasts for up to six weeks on a single charge.
A weighted eye mask that's basically like a weighted blanket for your human eyes, designed to decrease stress and encourage ~deep sleep~. They also feature a 3D contour, so they're hollowed out in the middle and won't rest right on top of your eyes.
A stainless steel Memobottle, a true travel MVP — these insulated, leakproof bottles come in four very specific sizes with a flat-shaped design to be packed as easily and efficiently as possible, based on your needs. It also features a flask-style mouthpiece designed for faster hydration, and is dishwasher-safe.
A set of silicone "EarPlanes" with a twist-on structure to help relieve pressure that hurts your ears during altitude changes during landing and takeoff. Reviewers also swear by these for driving through altitude changes in the mountains and for helping with sinus pressure pain!
A durable bag strap gripper that not only keeps you hands-free when you've got extra shopping bags, jackets, and other accessories to cart around, but prevents you from forgetfully LEAVING said items in places where you will simply never see them again. (RIP to that one lost water bottle we're all still mourning.)
A deeply adorable retro-style portable Bluetooth keyboard you can connect to your tablet, phone, or computer to easily type if you're working while traveling (or just want to e-mail everyone about that croissant you just ate). Reviewers especially love the satisfying ~clickety clack~ feel of the keys!
A hands-free portable phone charger that sticks right onto your phone plug and chills there so easily that you might forget it's there in the first place. This mini charger is designed to give you one full iPhone battery per charge, making it a lifesaver for busy humans, particularly ones who love traveling.
Plus a tiny 3-in-1 portable charger you can fold down to the size of a little macaron, but expand to charge your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch all at the same time. If you have trips on the horizon or you're a busy human in general, you need to get yourself one of these adorable UFOs, fast.
A beautifully packaged, travel-friendly Touchland Power Mist hydrating hand sanitizer for anyone who's like "mindfully practicing health and safety, but make it fashion." Unlike other sanitizer sprays, it's infused with aloe vera to keep your skin hydrated and has the most luxurious floral scents.
A set of homeopathic jet-lag pills to show all time zones and weary post-travel limbs who's boss. This doesn't have any side effects and won't mess with your *actual* attempts to sleep, but may help you feel more refreshed after long flights or (sighs deeply) red-eyes.
An investment-worthy, super-soft Trtl neck pillow designed to support your head while you're snoozing in midair so you don't land in a new city with a new crick in your neck to boot.
Or an inflatable wedge pillow so you can fully conk out by turning that dead space between you and the chair in front of you into your own personal oasis — this is great for resting your head to watch stuff on your phone and also just for catching some ZZZs.
A fully waterproof tricked out travel backpack complete with *deep breath* two laptop sleeves, a shoe compartment, a secret anti-theft pocket, a USB charging port, and a "wet bag" to keep sweaty clothes or liquids away from your tech. Oh, and it's cute as a BUTTON to boot. Who gave this backpack the right to flex on other backpacks this hard???
A digital luggage scale perfect for anyone who likes to play chicken with the weight limits on various airlines. This gizmo will quickly and accurately let you know in pounds *or* kilograms how much your suitcase weighs just by attaching it to the handle and lifting — no clunky floor scales required.
A luggage drink caddy for anyone who considers the Starbucks mermaid a copilot — this sticks right into your wheeled luggage and has two roomy pockets for drinks, water bottles, your snacks, your phone, and whatever else was taking up room in your hands on the go.
And an attachable luggage table to make an *instant* desk or meal tray in the airport without having to Hunger Games it out for the last sad table at the one open McDonald's in your terminal.
A lil' snack pouch with a pop of 🌈 to add a little bit of cheer to especially long road trips and cross-country flights. Reviewers love that it keeps their carry-ons a bit more organized and that the clear exterior lets them see which treats they have in store.
And a five-compartment snack spinner that'll prove itself as a flight MVP for anyone with picky eaters — not only does the spin factor make it fun and encourage kids to try a variety of snacks, but this gizmo stays locked in place to avoid messes (and is even dishwasher-safe!).
A waterproof family travel document holder for anyone who is traveling in a group — this keeps all your passports, boarding passes, and IDs in one easy place so you don't have to do a whole backpack opening circus every time you get in line at the airport.
And a compact travel cable organizer with two different pocketed compartments to keep your cords, earbuds, and chargers organized and safe — this is waterproof, so even if *you* get waterlogged on a trip or on your way to work, your gadgets and gizmos won't.
A TSA-friendly Burt's Bees travel pack, aka your new ally against dry air on the plane or in newer climates. This will keep your feet, lips, hands, *and* human body pampered and moisturized while you jet set.
A fully adjustable Stanley bottle crossbody bag, because hydration is never not the hottest accessory. This sleek, leakproof, double-insulated bottle will keep liquid ice cold or toasty warm for hours, and thanks to this comfy crossbody strap, you can take a sip whenever you want. (No backpack wrangling required!)
A ridiculously soft Essential Hoodie from Pond LA, which is basically what happens when a cozy sweater and a sleeping mask join forces to create the ultimate lightweight piece you can use for everything from light naps to full-on workouts. Not to mention...it's got a kangaroo pocket.
A subtle amber reading light that's 99.94% free of blue spectrum light — aka, the light that signals to your brain that it's daytime and keeps you up and attem. Now you can read your book at during the flight further without disrupting your circadian rhythms *or* bugging your neighbors with the harsh overhead.
A 4-in-1 flying USB port to condense the tangle of wires next to your bed or desk, whether you're traveling or dreaming of your next trip. This includes a 3.3-foot extension cord so your devices can stay close!
A chic telescoping portable straw you can use in a pinch whether you're traveling or just really, REALLY don't want to eat soggy straw paper at places that have switched over to environmentally friendly options.
A pack of flight attendant–approved snacking olives with a true ~first class~ vibe, whether you're using them to jazz up the boring airplane meal or to eat with the lil' airplane mini of gin that you asked the flight attendant for within the minute of the baby behind you starting to cry.
And a set of airtight, moisture-proof mini salt and pepper shakers because life is too short for bland food. Now you can have an easy "fix-it" when the airplane food tastes like cardboard.
An airplane footrest, because yes, it IS possible to sit comfortably on a plane — all you have to do is hook this onto the tray table, and boom, instant elevation (and a LOT less foot swelling to deal with post-flight!).

Passport Stamps Are Disappearing Across 29 Countries This Fall—Here's What Travelers Need to Know

There's nothing more exciting than examining a passport stamp after entering a new country, seeing the barely-dry ink on the page and creating a tangible memory you can hold in your hand. But that experience will soon go by the wayside as countries across the European Union switch to biometric and electronic border systems, forgoing the physical stamp. In Europe, 29 countries will soon replace passport stamps with a new Entry/Exist System (EES). The policy, which has been delayed for years, will now go into effect starting Oct. 12 and be introduced gradually with the full implementation expected to be complete by April 10, 2026. The electronic authorization is an "automated IT system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay, each time they cross the external borders of any of the following European countries using the system," according to the European Union. The policy, aimed at modernizing borders, will collect data listed in travelers' documents, the date and place of each entry and exit, a facial image, and fingerprints. Europe isn't alone in moving toward a digital border. In January, the United Kingdom implemented its own electronic travel authorization (ETA) fee, which is now required for most travelers arriving in the country, including from the United States. At the time, the long-anticipated fee was called a step toward "a modern immigration system." Even the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has started expanding its facial recognition technology at airports across the country and programs like Clear Plus, which uses fingerprint, eye, or facial scans to speed through security, are gaining in popularity. Other countries are moving away from stamps as well. Australia, for example, stopped issuing passport stamps as far back as 2012, according to the country's ABC News . Destinations like Hong Kong, Singapore, and Argentina have similarly eliminated them. Even the U.S. has started to phase out the use of physical stamps, Harvard University noted. But while travelers may lament the loss of that tangible reminder of a trip, one thing they should never do is put a souvenir stamp in their official passports. That's because the document warns the holder that "only authorized officials of the United States or of foreign countries may place stamps or make notations or additions." This is the full list of countries where the EES will be implemented on a gradual basis: Austria Belgium Bulgaria Croatia Czechia Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Iceland Italy Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands Norway Poland Portugal Romania Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden Switzerland

Family-friendly TSA lanes debut at several US airports: How do they work?

(KTLA) – Select airports across the country are adding special security lanes to help make travel easier for families. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced in July its new ' Families on the Fly ' program, which aims to 'put families first and enhance their airport security screening experience during the busy summer travel season and beyond,' according to the agency. When asked, a representative for the TSA told Nexstar that the family-friendly security lanes work basically the same as the regular lanes, while providing families 'with their own space where they can move through security at their own pace, without feeling rushed or as though they're inconveniencing other travelers.' As part of the program, the TSA is also offering a $15 discount on PreCheck enrollment when two adults sign up together. Kids under 12 are generally allowed the same benefits when traveling with an enrolled adult; kids under 17 may also be eligible if they meet certain conditions. There are also plans to implement dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes for service members and their families, per TSA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Dedicated family lanes are already operational at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in Florida and Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) in North Carolina, the TSA says. But Nexstar's KTLA reported that John Wayne Airport, in Orange County, Calif., debuted its lane in July. KTLA's Carlos Herrera visited John Wayne Airport on Tuesday to speak with families testing out the new lane. 'It's been very nice. Very short line,' one parent at the Southern California airport, just moments before she reached the front of the queue. In addition to the Orlando, Charlotte-Douglas and John Wayne facilities, dedicated family lanes are planned for the following airports, according to the TSA: Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu (HNL) Charleston International Airport (CHS) Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico (SJU) Tampa International Airport (TPA) 'This program goes beyond convenience; it's about addressing the unique needs of traveling families to provide a smoother, more supportive experience at our security checkpoints,' Pete Garcia, the TSA federal security director for Orlando, was quoted as saying in a press release. 'We're dedicated to making travel smart, secure, and family friendly.'

30 Essential Travel Items You'll Use Daily on Vacation

A compact eight-compartment pill organizer so you'll have space for all the stuff you take from all the delicious food that sometimes makes you feel bad on your travels. A portable door lock to attach to any regular old door for your hotel, vacation rental, room in a guest house, or, well, just any door. It's super easy to install and won't damage the door. It'll be a comfort for solo travelers, especially. A SPF 50 Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar for a K-beauty sun fix you can safely throw in your bag and then reapply on the go. It has a slightly curved bar for easier application (like in the GIF!) and matte effect, and won't leave a white cast in its wake. And if you're sold on a solid SPF, this Neutrogena SPF 50 sunscreen really sticks to your skin on your tropical (or just plain sweaty) vacation. Oh, and because it's a solid, it's carry-on friendly! (I love to keep this in my purse all the time.) A refillable sunscreen sponge applicator with a rollerball inside that'll make reapplication SO much easier. Even for your family members who always complain later after they avoided reapplication OR "reapplied" but somehow still have an extremely sunburnt stomach. Gentle 2-in-1 travel flossing toothbrushes can fold up to half their size (every inch in your luggage counts!) and really get in there to give your mouth a super-clean feeling. Like, just-back-from-the-dentist cleaning. I always pack these for trips and their tiny flossing bristles make my travel nighttime routine a lot easier and more efficient. A travel brush with a hidden compartment that'll be great for hair elastics, fashion tape, local currency, and all kinds of other little things that don't quite have a place to go in your personal item. ALSO have you tried to use a mini brush to brush your hair? I've broken, like, three of them with my mane. This is also a normal-size brush. A flat RFID-blocking fanny pack will work underneath your clothes or as just a regular waist bag. So it's a little go with the flow — within reason. A set of three Cadence containers that are magnetized and'll stick together in your toiletries bag AND on your metal cruise ship bathroom walls. They're super sturdy, leak-proof, and even work great for a few days' worth of vitamins or holding small jewelry. They've quickly become one of my packing go-tos. A reusable sand eraser to easily dust off all that stuff stuck to you when you're finally being dragged away from the beach to get ready for your dinner reservation. Now you won't have to worry about making your hotel room feel like a sandbox. Some anti-pickpocketing clips can easily attach two zippers and make it extra difficult to quickly zip open your bag. Plus, a Baggallini anti-theft travel day backpack that'll make it harder for anyone who gets some (illegal) ideas while you're marveling at [insert picturesque view]. A TSA-friendly toiletries set you can easily fill, clean, and then refill with your go-to regular products. And the bag is sturdy as HECK. Or if you're not in need of containers, a clear TSA-approved toiletry bag to Lego-fit all your liquid and spreadable bbs in there with ease. A set of towel clips you'll be grateful you packed once the wind kicks up as you're 20 feet away tossing a football with your pals. (And you can use it to hang up your wet swimsuit after.) A *foldable* wide-brim hat for helping you keep the sun off of your face, make your outfits look even cuter, and easily fit in your carry-on without crushing it. A fanny pack with a ton of storage room inside that has a long enough strap to wear crossbody *or* comfortably fit over outerwear so you can use your arms to help you balance while teetering toward a glacier. If you plan on wearing it across your chest, attach your waist buckles together with a zip-tie to prevent it from getting unclipped from your back. A portable crib canopy will create a sleep pod for your little one. And it even has pouches for a monitor and fan! Sleeping in unfamiliar places is tough enough for adults. Let's make it easier on the kids too — which in turn will also make the adults happier. A set of DEET-free handy mosquito-repelling bracelets in case the thought of putting something else on your skin besides SPF (like smelly bug repellent) sounds like a total nightmare. A stick of Gold Bond Friction Defense can stop chafing caused by sweat before it even starts. It's sooo good and better than any other competitor in the thigh-saving category. Toss this in your bag and apply before you go on that long, lovely beach stroll. Collapsible travel hangers will help you better organize all your beautiful ensembles *and* have a legit place to hang up any clothes you launder while you're on your luxurious two-week vacation. A portable blackout curtain to suction onto where your staying's window to give you some deep DEEP darkness you need for sleeping. A 4-in-1 travel adapter that'll work for a wide range of countries because you shouldn't have to google which adapters you need before every international trip. There are better things to do, like talking yourself into packing that one dress you've only worn once but MIGHT wear on this vacation. A weighted sleep mask can help block out the reading light and/or sunlight from your neighbor's open airplane window shade while you catch up on some of that sleep you sacrificed to get the early flight. Oh, and it's weighted! A mini lightweight flat iron to help you get your signature smooth locks, or at least tidy up your blowout you're really banking on lasting for a few days. A set of sunscreen reminder stickers that'll pair well with your body sunscreen so there's someone besides you and your pal who're wading in the waves to remind you that, uh, yes, you do need to reapply! Oh and they last for 12 hours. Once a sticker turns colors, it's time to reapply. Lanolips SPF 30 lip balm can give you a nice, light, pineapple-y treat so you don't end up with fried lips. Your lips needs sunscreen too! But with this, it doesn't taste like you're wearing sunscreen. A rechargeable handheld fan for hot times spent outside central AC — it might just make you think about all those times you said "I wish I had a fan." Well now you will. Just be prepared to buy one for each person on your trip. A pair of retro-style oval sunglasses your nemesis might mistake for the $400+ Miu Miu ones in your IG stories, which is fine. Let 'em think that and put that extra cash toward whatever else you want. A sweat-friendly, wide-brim ponytail cap to help get your hair up and off your neck while also giving you some serious face shade. And unlike other ponytail caps where you have to pull your ponytail through an opening, this one has a snag-free closure that's thick hair–friendly.
