Bears vs Dolphins: How to watch, start time, odds and more

The 2025 preseason debut for both the Chicago Bears and the Miami Dolphins is tomorrow, and each franchise is coming off a disappointing 2024. The Bears limped through a five-win campaign, which resulted in a house cleaning of the coaching staff in the offseason, while the 'Fins could be looking at their own coaching change if head coach Mike McDaniel doesn't get off to a good start. Some recent odds have McDaniel at 5/1 to be the first head coach fired, second only to Brian Daboll (4/1) of the Giants. GAME INFO The Bears host the Dolphins from Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, on Sunday, August 10, with kickoff set for noon (CT). The weather forecast calls for a high of 90 and partly cloudy. TELEVISION The game will be on FOX for the Chicago audience, with that feed being simulcast on the NFL Network. Adam Amin, Jim Miller, Stacey Dales, Lou Canellis, and Jasmine Baker will be on the call. You can check for the full list of channels that the game will be on, and the NFLN will rebroadcast the game in case you miss it live. RADIO ESPN Chicago (1000 AM, 100.3 FM HD2) with Jeff Joniak, Tom Thayer, and Jason McKie on the call, and LATINO MIX 93.5 FM (Spanish) with Omar Ramos. ODDS The Bears are favored by 3 points, with the game total over/under at 34.5. POSTGAME I'm not sure if we'll have an immediate postgame show on Sunday, but we will be live on our 2nd City Gridiron YouTube channel with a Bear & Balanced on Monday at 6:00 p.m. (CT), talking through all the exciting preseason action!

Tamworth 1-2 Scunthorpe United

National League Tamworth 1 - 2 Scunthorpe United FT Oliver Ewing scored the winner on his debut as newly-promoted Scunthorpe claimed a 2-1 victory at Tamworth in their opening National League fixture. Danny Whitehall curled an excellent free-kick over the wall and into the far corner to give the Iron an early lead. Haydn Hollis fired Tamworth's equaliser, in off the crossbar from a half-cleared throw-in, but Scunthorpe regained the lead before the break through Ewing's neat finish after Whitehall's step-over. Tamworth went close to a second-half equaliser when debutant Jack Evans' effort hit a post before play was briefly halted when the referee was summoned to the dugouts after an object had been thrown onto the pitch. Liverpool have 'new proposal' for Alexander Isak as Newcastle make decision for friendly double-header

Alexander Isak is set to miss Newcastle's upcoming friendlies as Liverpool 'ready to submit a new proposal'. The Sweden international, who netted 23 Premier League goals last season, has not featured for the Magpies as they prepare for the new campaign. Left out of the squad for the 4-0 loss to Celtic as a result of intense transfer speculation, Isak did not travel to Asia for Newcastle's pre-season tour which meant he was absent for games against Arsenal, a K-League XI and Tottenham. Although a minor thigh injury was cited as the reason for Isak not flying out to Asia, he has since been ordered to train away from the first-team squad. "You have to earn the right to train with us," Eddie Howe said. "We are Newcastle United. The player has a responsibility here to be part of a team and part of a squad - you have to act in the right way. 'So that is also at play here. We will make sure that any player does that to earn the right to train with the group. 'No player can expect to act poorly and train with the group as normal." Despite taking this course of action, there had been suggestions that Howe was ready to call upon Isak for friendlies against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid. However, according to the Daily Mail, it has been decided that the 25-year-old will not feature in either game. This may alert Liverpool who remain interested in signing Isak despite seeing a £110million plus add-ons bid rejected by Newcastle last week. In fact, journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated that the Premier League champions have a 'new proposal, ready to be submitted if Newcastle open the doors to the move'. Amid reports that the Magpies value Isak at around £150m - a British transfer record should a deal materialise - the Reds can get close to that figure with the funds brought in from Darwin Nunez's imminent move to Al-Hilal. That said, it has been widely reported that Newcastle will not sanction Isak's exit unless a replacement is signed. So far the club have missed out on deals for Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko, but could enter the race for Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson.
