Groundbreaking 90s TV show is available to stream in the UK in full for free
The 90s mega-hit won dozens of awards during its original run, and the comedy-drama was known for its unique storytelling style The '90s smash hit Ally McBeal is poised for a British comeback, with Channel 4 offering the full five seasons to stream for free on their platform. The news comes as Netflix fans rejoice as Love Is Blind UK returns to screens after dramatic first season. The legal comedy-drama, which originally ran from 1997 to 2002 and launched stars like Lucy Liu and Jane Krakowski into the spotlight, is available as a full collection for both devoted fans and fresh audiences to enjoy . Calista Flockhart, who portrayed the eccentric solicitor Ally at the Boston practice Cage and Fish, fronted the programme that gained recognition for its mixture of romance, personal turmoil, and fantastical comedy, including Ally's amusing habit of tumbling when meeting a potential love match. In 2022, there were rumours that ABC was in early development of a revival of Ally McBeal, potentially following a young lawyer who joins the firm, with Calista reprising her role as Ally. Industry figures were excited about the potential comeback with a source revealing: "There has been talk of reviving Ally McBeal for years, as the central premise is so desirable to modern audiences. It's the perfect female-driven character drama, really." They continued: "Frankly, it was always ahead of its time, so execs see a reboot as a total no-brainer. They are desperate for Calista to jump on board but hope the scripts will convince her to sign up." While the programme explored legal cases, it was the characters' romantic entanglements and personal adventures, peppered with quirky and frequently surreal humour, that truly captivated viewers. 'Hilarious' 2020s comedy is an 'instant classic' and streaming for free Channel 4 viewers make same complaint about new thriller In Flight minutes after debut Since its premiere in 1997, the series received critical acclaim in its early seasons, scooping up Golden Globes and Emmy Awards. However, Fox decided to axe the show after five seasons.

Love Is Blind UK star leaves viewers ‘feeling physically sick' as he details his VERY unique job
LOVE Is Blind UK is back - and one star has caught the attention of fans thanks to his unique life path. As the Netflix pods opened for 30 new singletons to try their luck at finding someone to marry, one star's unique job got people talking. 4 4 While introducing himself to singer Aanu, Patrick Justus revealed that he was a human design coach. Explaining it was "like a lifecoach but using a system called spiritual design', Patrick's biggest mantra in life was to "trust your spleen", noting that "splenic energy" was a bigger force than a gut instinct. Speaking in the pods to potential match Yolanda, Patrick said that he follows his spleen "literally to the second", later adding: "Listening to my spleen is the best way to find the love of his life." While it didn't win over Yolanda or another hopeful, Catherine, the idea intrigued singer Aanu, who sparked a connection with him. But viewers were left baffled by his continued discussion of his spleen in conversation – with some left turned off by the chat, despite finding Patrick charming, saying it made them feel ill. "I loveee Patrick, do you know how nice you have to be for me to ignore the fact you keep mentioning your spleen??" wrote one on X (formerly Twitter). "Please the word 'spleen' is just making me cringe and feel physically sick. How many times are we going to have to hear this nonsense" said a second. "This bloke and his damn SPLEEN, his spleen should have told him to stay home," said a third. While a fourth noted: "The moment that guy talked about following his spleen, I would have been out of there." Despite the spleen talk, Patrick and Aanu did hit it off on the show - at least to begin with. However, the pair hit a wall when Aanu admitted that she puts a lot of weight into what her mum thinks, crediting her for helping her make decisions. Love Is Blind UK: Meet the Season 2 contestants looking to find love in 2025 The comment was received badly by Patrick, who said that his "spleen was silent" and that their connected had "dipped", with her telling Aanu that she needs to learn to follow her own instincts. From that point on, they struggle to get back on track – and when Aanu decides to open up to him by writing a song for him, he ends things before she can perform it. "I don't want you to give a song to someone who is undeserving of that song," he told her. "I've enjoyed thoroughly talking to you and going through this experience with you, but I have to follow my spleen." Love Is Blind UK new episodes drop Wednesday on Netflix. 4 4
