‘Top tier bloke': Brisbane real estate agent dies in lawnmower incident
Ty Babbidge, 55, died at a property west of Brisbane on Friday after being trapped under a ride-on mower.
'We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Ty has passed away,' his family posted online on Sunday.
'Ty was greatly loved by his family, friends, and the community. His warmth, generosity, and genuine care for others touched countless lives, and he will be dearly missed.
'We are grateful for your love and support. Lots of love, the Babbidge family.'
Mr Babbidge's colleague of a decade, Kel Goesch, told the Courier Mail: 'Ty was one of the most generous, happy and genuine people on this planet. He cared a lot about others'.
'He was a lot of people's great friend but he was very passionate and proud about his family.'
Emergency services were called to a private property on Grandview Road at Pullenvale at about 7.30pm Friday.
Police said the incident was non-suspicious and the forensic crash unit would prepare a report for the coroner.
'What an absolute top tier bloke. Honestly he was the most generous kind hearted fella I've ever met,' one man said online.
'Such a special man. We will miss him. Love to the family who he loved so much,' a wellwisher said.
'I'm so sorry to hear. I was only chatting to him last week .... such a happy man,' another person said.

One man has died and another has been seriously injured in a shooting outside a hotel in Sydney's inner-city. "There was probably eight to ten gunshots, and then a pause, and then another half dozen maybe," Ivan said. Charlotte said the man who was taken to hospital was conscious as paramedics treated him.
