LEWIS CAPALDI will make a sensational return to music tomorrow – with the singer dropping his comeback single.
The release, Lewis' first since he put out Strangers and A Cure For Minds Unwell in January last year, coincides with his secret set on the Pyramid Stage at Glasto.

As the gates to Worthy Farm opened to let the first of this year's revellers through yesterday, a source said: 'Lewis took a decent chunk of time away and now he's ready for his fans to hear what he has been working on.
'Tomorrow is a huge day for him. He will be releasing a brand new single and it is his Pyramid Stage performance. He is in a great place and feels ready to come back into the spotlight.'
Lewis' last performance at Glastonbury on that very stage in 2023 ended in tears, with the Someone You Loved star breaking down before cutting the set short.
I was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with fans who, like me, were in tears at watching Lew struggling.
Afterwards, Lewis told us the performance made him realise he needed to 'spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order'.
He retreated from the spotlight but last year started working on new tunes, going into the studio with British singer-songwriter Dan D'Lion, where he was snapped strumming on an acoustic guitar.
Then one of my pals overheard him in Gerry's bar in London last October excitedly talking about new music coming this year.
Insiders said the new record came together quickly.
It will follow his two No1 albums, 2019's debut Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, and Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, which came out in 2023.
In March, I caught up with his pal Yungblud, who told me he thought Lewis was back to his best, telling me: 'I have heard his new music and it sounds great.'
And it's not just the music which is on point, as Lewis returned to the stage for a secret show at Tom Walker's Calm charity gig in Edinburgh last month.

Lewis came on stage after Tom had finished performing and played a six-song set in the Assembly Halls.
The show went down a treat and Lew absolutely nailed his six-song setlist.
Those close to Lewis' told me he is more than ready to return to the spotlight.
'Lewis is raring to go,' my insider added. 'Naturally there will always be nerves but he feels confident and assured.
'He is firing on all cylinders and there's no doubt this single will go straight to No1, which will give Lewis a massive boost.'
We're rooting for you Lewis, and we can't wait to see you back down in Somerset.
Gene and Lennon's family ties

There's eight days to go until Liam and their uncle Noel reunite in Cardiff for Oasis' reunion tour, and I've no doubt they will be in the crowd cheering them on.
And I won't be surprised if Gene and Lennon hotfoot it from the French capital to Glastonbury, as I've seen them letting loose at the festival before.
If their resemblance to Liam extends to his behaviour, I'm sure they will be getting up to plenty of antics on Worthy Farm.
Libertine's in album push
THE LIBERTINES are pushing ahead with their next album following the success of All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade, which went straight to No1 last year.
The band, Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell, left a gap of ten years between their third and fourth.

And in an exclusive chat ahead of their performance on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage on Sunday afternoon, drummer Gary promised they won't be leaving it as long before bringing out a fifth album.
'There's always plans, it's whether we get to it,' Gary said.'We were on a two-record deal.
'So there was supposed to be at least another record not long after the release of the one in 2015.
'Nearly ten years later, we finally got to it. We're in the midst of touring at the moment, we're still finishing off the touring cycle of this last album.'
Gary also dismissed suggestions The Libertines are still 'ramshackle' on stage.
He said with a laugh: 'It takes a lot of work to be as ramshackle as we are. Most bands will try and be ramshackle, whilst being extremely ramshackle. We actually work really hard at being ramshackle.
'I wouldn't be in anything other than a well-rehearsed band.'
Pete's performance with The Libertines at Glastonbury follows the death of his Babyshambles bandmate Patrick Walden last week aged 46.
Beyonce blue la la
BEYONCE is continuing the Cowboy Carter trend, even when she's not on stage.

They were at the Louis Vuitton show as part of Men's Fashion Week.
As well as getting the best seats in the house, Louis Vuitton Men's creative director Pharrell Williams gave her a bag straight off the runway.
Jay has been on the road with Bey for months now and proved he is her No1 fan earlier in the day, when he was seen wearing a T-shirt with her picture on it.
I doubt my fella would be so pleased if I came home in a top featuring his mug.
Rita does a decent proposal
RITA ORA has spoken of her proposal to Taika Waititi, after she broke tradition by getting down on one knee.
She said on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast: 'I just did the whole thing. We were in a hotel room in Palm Springs, like a really nice, fancy one filled up with balloons and cake, which is my favourite thing in the world.

'I got the bands made, I didn't want anything too flashy. He's like, 'What the hell is it? Valentine's Day?' I was like, 'Oh no, if you're gonna say no, I'm gonna have to take my clothes off'.
'Anyway, I got down on one knee, and Taika absolutely loved it.'
Rita also talked about her friendship with Beyonce and said: 'Being signed to Jay Z, she is my biggest inspiration. She took it upon herself to really look after me, and I still see her.
'She's always been so, so nice and proud, and checking in on my family and friends I've had since childhood, remembering their names. I mean, it's crazy.'
More-oon
MAROON 5 have announced their eighth album, Love Is Like. It will be out on August 15 and features All Night, as well as recent track Priceless.
Frontman Adam Levine said: 'I feel like we've gone back to what we used to do, which is to not pay attention to where we fit, and producing the music organically.'

THE VAMPS have reunited to make their first album for five years.

But now guitarist James Brittain-McVey has revealed they are flying to the US to start work on a new project.
On Instagram, he wrote: 'It felt about time to jump on a plane and start writing again!
'I have been looking forward to this moment for years. Being with the boys feels like home. Bring on the next album.'
West End Hercules is strong on laughs and classic tunes
THE 1997 animated movie is one of Disney's best, so the stakes were high.
But I'm pleased to report this West End adaption of Hercules, at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, does the film justice . . . and then some.

From start to finish, the show is surprisingly funny, with jokes landing perfectly from Mount Olympus all the way back down to Earth.
The all-female gospel singing muses steal the show with their vocals and camp sass.
Hades and Meg are also perfectly cast. Along with Phil, they are given a more adult costume, bringing them further into real life.
My only gripe is that in doing so, some of the classic Disney magic is lost.
Hades' famous flame hair has been replaced with silver locks, while half-goat, half-man Phil is now all man.
But the cast make the characters their own and crowd pleasers come from the original film's score.
While the new songs may not be instant classics, I'm pretty sure this show will Go The Distance.

‘What a rush' – Brad Pitt on driving Formula One car as new movie hits cinemas

The Hollywood star, who plays F1 driver Sonny Hayes in the blockbuster film, was recently given the chance to drive McLaren's 2023 car around Austin's Circuit of the Americas. Pitt, 61, had plenty of driving experience – including behind the wheel of modified F2 cars – while filming the movie over the last two years, but was blown away by his first taste of an F1 car. 'Oh my God, what a rush,' Pitt said in a video on McLaren's social media channels. 'A lot bigger horse than I've been on.' Brad Pitt LOVES the MCL60 🤩✅#McLaren | #F1TheMovie — McLaren (@McLarenF1) June 25, 2025 Pitt added on the Beyond the Grid podcast: 'I got to hit 197mph this week. I really wanted to hit 200. You know, it hurts me a little bit – three miles per hour short on the straight. This was at Austin. 'You're so focused, but you're not white knuckling. You're just in this sublime groove. It is really extraordinary. 'I try to explain this feeling of downforce, and I fail every time because you try to say like a rollercoaster, but that's not even right, because you feel the fulcrum point underneath you – you're in it. 'I was in an aerobatic plane once, and it's the closest thing, but still this thing… this is such a unique feeling and an absolute high. I'm still on a high, I really am. I'm just still on a high.' Pitt's fictional rookie team-mate Joshua Pearce is played by British actor Damson Idris. Filming has taken place across multiple races over the last two seasons and F1 chiefs hope the movie will follow the popularity of Netflix's Drive To Survive series in cracking America. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is an executive producer on the movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski and co-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, which will be released in the United States on Friday. Hamilton, 40, posted a picture of himself alongside Pitt as he reflected on the journey he had been on while making the film. 'Four years in the making — what a journey it's been,' Hamilton wrote on Instagram. 'I'm incredibly grateful to everyone at Apple and Warner Bros for believing in us and partnering with such heart and vision. To Joe and Jerry — thank you. I've learned so much from both of you and it's truly been an honour to work alongside you. 'These were taken on our very first day on track, with Brad at Silverstone looking into Copse Corner. What a moment. One of those memories that stick with you.'

Giant boombox toilet co-designed by Sir Rod Stewart unveiled at Glastonbury

WaterAid's Boombox Bog houses a toilet that sits behind the tape deck of a giant blue boombox decorated with leopard print, a pattern often worn by Sir Rod. The veteran rockstar, 80, will perform in front of thousands of music fans on Sunday when he plays the coveted tea-time legends slot on the Pyramid Stage, which sits nearby to the toilet. The Maggie May singer said: 'I've spent my life singing to packed arenas and festival crowds, but nothing hits a high note quite like clean water and a decent loo. 'They might not be sexy, but they're life-changing. 'That's why I've teamed up with WaterAid to bring our funky Boombox Bog to Glastonbury Festival and shine a light on the importance of these everyday essentials that millions still live without. 'Together, we're creating change that's gonna last forever.' Festival-goers will be able to hear some of Sir Rod's hits from the Boombox Bog including Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? and Sailing while also listening to specially recorded water-themed messages from the singer. Jennie York, executive director of communications and fundraising, WaterAid, said: 'We're so grateful to Rod for helping share the amazing power of clean water and a decent toilet with the funkiest loo at Glastonbury Festival. 'It's a fun and engaging way to celebrate the wonderful things that can happen if everyone has these basic needs met. 'Our fantastic volunteers are onsite keeping the water flowing and the toilets gleaming, so Festival-goers can focus on the magic that makes Glastonbury unforgettable. 'But when the music stops, we don't. We're bringing people together to help build a world where everyone has the water they need to stay healthy, learn and thrive. Change really does start with water.' Non-profit organisation WaterAid has been a charity partner of Glastonbury since 1994, supporting water and sanitation services on site while also highlighting the work it does across the globe. Thousands of revellers are descending onto Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, which opened its doors on Wednesday, for five-days of music and performing arts. This year's event will see headline performances from British rock/pop band The 1975, veteran singer Neil Young and his band the Chrome Hearts, and US pop star Olivia Rodrigo. Sir Rod's performance will come after the singer postponed a string of concerts in the US, due to take place this month, while he recovered from flu. The singer has teased he will welcome a number of guests to the stage during his set, including his former Faces bandmember Ronnie Wood.

Glastonbury opening ceremony branded a flop by disappointed revellers as fireworks display ‘dogged by sound issues'

THE opening ceremony at Glastonbury has been branded a flop by disappointed festival-goers. Disgruntled revellers called out a fireworks display and criticized sound issues at the iconic event in Somerset this evening. 6 Fans have complained about reported sound issues at the opening ceremony Credit: supplied 6 One reveller claimed they couldn't hear any music for half an hour Credit: supplied 6 Ticket-holders dubbed the display "underwhelming" Credit: supplied One festival goer told The Sun: "The opening ceremony started 10 minutes late, there was a huge choir on stage that no one could hear. "All we could hear was the sound of a couple of drums. "It was a massive fireworks display with no music, the whole silence lasted 30 minutes." And their comments were echoed by fellow visitors, one fuming reveller penned on X: "Not good from a sound standpoint. I think you have let the performers down here to say the least." "Sack the sound guy," wrote another. A third agreed: "Is there meant to be no sound at the #Glastonbury2025 opening ceremony? Local regs? Crowds a bit restless at the back." "Where's the sound? Kicked out of Greenpeace for crowds. No sound and lost audience at opening ceremony. Get it together," posted someone else. One fuming ticket-holder slammed: "No sound. Can't hear anything. Underwhelming." The Sun contacted Glastonbury for comment. It comes as thousands arrived to set up camp for the first day of Glastonbury today. However, temperatures are set to soar by the weekend, with highs of 30C. The singer will be dropping his comeback single at the festival. Lewis' last performance at Glastonbury on that very stage in 2023 ended in tears, with the Someone You Loved star breaking down before cutting the set short. However, Amyle and the Sniffers' upcoming set is still hanging in the balance after illness swept through the band and their team. The Aussie rockers were forced to cancel their Vienna gig on Monday after two band members and a crew member came down with 'a very nasty virus". And it comes just days before they're due to hit the stage at Worthy Farm. Meanwhile, a huge US popstar has hinted that they're the secret act 'Patchwork' at the festival. Ever since organisers revealed the full line-up and stage times for Glasto, revellers have been trying to work out who the mysterious act is. At the beginning of the month, Glastonbury organisers shared the complete schedule. However, there are still several 'TBA' slots that hint at secret sets on the Pyramid Stage and beyond. Now fans have a brand new theory about who could make a surprise appearance at the legendary festival. On the 2025 Glastonbury schedule, the Saturday 6.15pm slot has a mysterious act called "Patchwork" pencilled in, and fans have been trying to work out what it means. Now fans are convinced that Chappell Roan is "Patchwork" after she posted a telling clue on Instagram. It came after the Pink Pony Club star shared a picture of herself holding a patchwork quilt, and wrote next to it: "Insane vibe."
